It may be a mod making the zombies super strong. I don't have the issue. Was using your mod in existing game. Checked there. Also started a new game.

Zombie health is the same as before.

Hey @Rosticks, do you have full version number? i am trying it now on version 42.7.0 rev:28118 2025-04-07 07:05:53 (ZB) . Are you sure that you do not have any other mods active? this mod does not modify health values.

this mod is UNSTABLE as of Build 42.7.0 will result in zombies having usually high health and hits not registering and potentially crashing your game upon killing a zombie DO NOT DOWNLOAD AS OF LATEST VERSION BUILD 42 report any instability in the comments, thank you

@Ryan, i would love to see a error log about that, because i'm using it, with 100+ mods and its not crashing anything.

Stop giving false statements, that is a issue on your end, not the mod.

And you should learn how to report bugs also, because just saying it doesnt work/crashing, doesnt help anyone.

@Rezistor I tried to add that function and loop to my mod, but I cannot get it to work. It just won't re-render the UI when I click the "Apply Numbers" and "Reset to Default" buttons I have in the Mod options tab. Would you be willing to look at my lua file and help? :X

Hey, @Blessed Mother, search for ISCombatTextOptions.lua file in this mod, there is onResetClick function, in this function 2 things happen, first is "target.gameOptions.changed = true" thich will tell engine that you changed something, second there is for loop which will tell engine to re-render all tabs, i am not sure why it needs to be there but it works :)

@Rezistor Is there a way to contact you? I am trying to add a "Reset to Default" button for my mod, which works, but when I click it the Apply button at the bottom of the Options menu is not highlighting, but staying greyed out. However, your code makes the Apply button light up when hitting the Reset button. Could use help on how you did that.

my character is pretty badass, and i do a lot of damage like consistently one shotting zombies, but like 40% of the zombies i kill get + health and the red bar stays over their dead bodies

Hey @Hypnotoad, java.io.File... looks like error directly from java itself, this mod is saving settings to file so you dont need to configure it every time, just tried that with 42.2. build and i get no error so it is possibly fixed directly in game engine

@rezistor Having issues with latest build 42. Was working. Stopped a few days ago and reinstall doesn't fix it. Here is the error after enabling mod:

Every time i kill a zombie with a katana their health bar stays at full and a green number will come up with a +50 or something and the bar will stay above them even when theyre dead

Get the +300 points mod. Set bonus points in sandbox settings to +100. And here's a screenshot of my traits. https://imgur.com/a/72wHyBO

All I can say for sure (maybe not even that) is that removing the bottom 10 traits made the issue go away. But attempting to narrow it down any further than that gave inconclusive results.

I'm at my wits end, I can't figure it out. I thought I had it narrowed down to a set of traits, but after re-verifying that same set of traits, I got a different result. I wonder if maybe it's a combination of traits. The only thing I can think of is maybe it's making my damage so high, compared to the zombie health (I have set to fragile), that when I get a certain amount of overkill, the issue happens. So maybe it's a combination of traits which boost my damage, i.e. strength, short blunt.

I guess I'm just going to deal with it. I really hope you can fix this problem. I don't want to disable this mod just because of this issue. It's still annoying though.

Alright that's definitely what it is. Exact same mod list, but with 2 different trait builds. One has the issue, one doesn't. So now I gotta narrow down which trait is causing it...
