Great work, I have been using these roads for quite some time and love them! I would indeed also love a 6-lane version, and it had me wondering...... what the definition of "soon" is used by Bluehawk! (Just jesting, of course.... I know this is all done on people's free time, and I appreciate every bit of work that goes into an asset like this.)

I would love a six lane version. These are the most useful roads. As for a six-lane, I would use that as a main artery of a pedestrian-bike oriented city. Cheers.

I love this asset any chance you have this with the red bike lanes?
Karhma 8. mar. 2022 kl. 18:56
I love it! Always in search of bike lane roads and such. Now to find more bike paths for peds AND bikes...they're all Ped only.

*Inspired by the Dutch design, which the Cambridge roundabout has been inspired by.

It seems that the approach roads have an issue where they'll connect with monorail tracks on monorail roads. Anybody else having this issue?
ApocTheWanderer 5. maj 2021 kl. 14:03
Can we have this but with red bike lanes?

Can we have one way versions with the bike lane on the outter edge so we can merge them into this round about with a split exit/entrance? Not having such we are stuck with just this.
Chief Test Pilot 1. maj 2021 kl. 6:39
Can you make elevated versions of this?
Dreaminway 7. apr. 2021 kl. 16:38
..........I need a 2 lane and a 1 lane version in this style for my little urban area. The idea of the bike lane being devided like that from the main road is just what I been needing. for a normal road and this amazing roundabout.

Curious how you were able to have the IMT filler go around the island at the junctions in the 2nd to last screenshot. Love these roads, btw - my city is unrealistically bike friendly because of them! <3

Thank you so much for this beautiful addition to my cities.
I even use these outside roundabouts.

Beautiful work. Would you consider a similar road with tramway lane ?
SpaceTimeBender 17. feb. 2021 kl. 13:21
I haven't commented on anything I've downloaded before, but when I placed these roads down in a roundabout, I said out loud to nobody, "That is GORGEOUS!" The approach 4-lane road in particular is just so pretty, and I really appreciate this pack. Thank you!
markthered 30. jan. 2021 kl. 13:46
I note this is a 3 lane roundabout. Will or do you have a 2 lane version?
Also whats the road version that you are using branching off from the roundabout?
ajimbert 2. jan. 2021 kl. 14:17
This looks splendid! I've been struggling to make good bike-friendly roundabouts in game that also look nice. This is gorgeous. Thank you!
ProliMan 25. dec. 2020 kl. 23:52
Is there any way to remove the trees from the road?
Nuka 13. dec. 2020 kl. 4:56
"Based on the Cambridge roundabout" that had a ridiculously high number of accidents in its first week of being opened and they're already looking at redesigning xD

Asset looks incredible though!

@Zouba64 this is because you can flag nodes for transition or non-transition, but the item classes in which an asset can be placed are set by the game (gravel roads, small roads, medium roads, highway, tram etc...). This allow to create nodes that are shared within a class (for example, the gravel road non-transition node is fully textured with gravel, while the transition fade the gravel texture and the asphalt texture so that it fades naturally from gravel to asphalt). If you notice, there are certain elements of the node of the approach road that should only appear when the appraoch road intersects the inner road (such as the refuge islands, but not when other roads intersect with the approach roads. I opted for the gravel road class because it's more likely for the user to intersect the approach road with other asphalt-based roads rather than gravel roads :-)

@luc.m2708 Thanks, I'm glad you like them

You make the best bike roads! Impressive
Zooba 30. okt. 2020 kl. 17:27
Just out of curiosity, what is the benefit of basing these custom roads off of the gravel road?
me22ca 29. okt. 2020 kl. 11:57
Thanks for the detailed response, @BlueHawk!
Pembow 29. okt. 2020 kl. 8:36
will do thanks
BlueHawk  [ophavsmand] 29. okt. 2020 kl. 6:20
Thanks kev-p, I'm glad you like them. I've contacted Chameleon who's helping debugging TM:PE LABS, and this is do to the mechanic of the game unfortunately, and it happens with other roundbaout roads and even if you swap the approach road with a vanilla highway road, citizens will still cross the junction. Just make sure there is an overpass/underpass near the jucntion so that citizens have a reasonably short path to follow :-)
clus 26. okt. 2020 kl. 12:33
Nice ! :)
Ben S. 26. okt. 2020 kl. 7:29
I would love a version of this without the chevrons in the middle <3
Pembow 24. okt. 2020 kl. 16:43
love all the assets though
Pembow 24. okt. 2020 kl. 16:37
i use TMPE to remove the crossings but the cims still cross the road
BlueHawk  [ophavsmand] 24. okt. 2020 kl. 9:06
Also, you can notice that part of the bike lane intersecting the ramp is missing. This is not a glitch but it’s due to the fact that vanilla highway roads are flat (0 metres) while main roads (small roads, medium roads, large roads or any other road with pavements on the side) are slightly sunken (at -30 cm). The bike lane is obviously sunken at -30cm so when it intersects the ramp, it disappears underneath the road. You can use any vanilla one-way roads to avoid this. Finally, remember that pedestrians will be able to use the outer pavement and they will cross your ramp to get to the otherside. Overall, in your case I would use a regular 3-lane highway road and redirect bicycle and pedestrian traffic with underpasses.

I hope this answer your question.

In your case, the highway ramp approaches the roundabout at a too smooth angle. Moreover, highway traffic is usually too heavy to be allowed to intersect bike lanes and pedestrian pavements, which is why many Dutch turbo roundabouts and other motorway intersections in Europe usually re-route bike networks with overpasses, underpasses or elsewhere away from the junction. You can find more here or here .

In your case, I would firstly make the ramp approach at a sharp angle, maybe by making the roundabout a perfect circle, probably use a two-lane ramp to widen the protective islands and use Node Controller to set the Corner Offset to a value that matches your needs.

Hi me22ca, I'm glad you like them! The junction in the screenshot you sent me actually is intended to be that way. Dutch-style bike-friendly roundabout roads in the Netherlands and other European countries usually require the approach road to be at a right angle (or at least very sharp) to slow down traffic and protect cyclists and pedestrians. See the picture of the Cambridge roundabouts above or you can find more information here , here , or here. [bicycledutch.wordpress.com]

Hmm, just tried out using these to make a roundabout service interchange and they seem to work non-optimally with other roads: https://sp.zhabite.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2266002188

Consider adding a Min Corner Offset of maybe 8 to the inner road. That doesn't affect connections with the approach road, but really helps out for connections to smaller ones.
me22ca 23. okt. 2020 kl. 15:01
Ooh, very nice! Much better than the other ones, since bike lanes in the main roadway of a roundabout are incredibly dangerous. And I love the extra grass section on these.
BlueHawk  [ophavsmand] 22. okt. 2020 kl. 14:58
Thanks Jeremy!
jeremy.thunder 22. okt. 2020 kl. 11:34
the nodes on this are a work of art
BlueHawk  [ophavsmand] 22. okt. 2020 kl. 11:24
Thanks :-)

@Bird Haha thanks, I'm glad you like them!

Protected bike lanes? You, sir, are a man of culture.
