In order to replace the barriers that are automatically placed at road-rail intersections, you'll also need to have the Railway Replacer mod enabled in that save, then use the shortcut Shift + Alt + P to open its menu and change the different railway barrier sizes to one of those included in this pack.
In order to place them as standard non-functional props, simply search 'railway barrier' or something similar in Find It and they will appear.
As the Railway Replacer mod that places them at crossings on has not experienced any issues with the update either, they should have all RWY functionality and behaviour.
If I do find a way to achieve fully realistic behaviour I will definitely update this pack, unfortunately as of now there is no such way.
