I hope this get updated. Seems like weapon ranges are broken
ComradeCorvus 30. dec. 2021 kl. 8:45
@Forever you aint kidding? it actually still works???
Forever 13. aug. 2021 kl. 21:52
It seems that the patch works even now, I don't think it requires an update. The range differences that I had were from GIgastructural Engineering
p6kocka 13. aug. 2021 kl. 8:59
@Forever
How´s going with the update?
Forever 7. aug. 2021 kl. 6:34
I will try these days to do something in order to update it. It doesn't seem hard (you just have to copy/paste values from one side to the other and adjust with a /6 division for the ranges. I have never did this before but If I solve it I will make a new mode from where you can download it.

@everyone... somebody please update this. I'll give ya 20 bucks :steamhappy:

I have stopped using NSC due to its incompatibility with quite a few other mods. If anyone is interested in updating or maintaining this patch, feel free.

Can someone please update this and the hard version please
havoc1482 6. dec. 2020 kl. 18:31
@forever I think this is the genesis of your problem. I just watched your video and I have the same problem with my fleets.
havoc1482 6. dec. 2020 kl. 18:29
Nevermind, it isn't this patch. The creator of the Real Space mod locked the fix behind a fucking timed paywall. Greasy as fuck imo.
havoc1482 6. dec. 2020 kl. 18:15
I don't know if its this mod patch or Ships in Scaling, but my fleets are just broken. They don't attack. The just aimlessly fly around an enemy system. My ships seem "confused" as if they can't decided which target to attack so they just fly in irregular circular patters occasionally firing off a shot at a random target. Its unplayable.

It's this compatible patch @crabdog64...it' missing specific changes
crapdog64 10. aug. 2020 kl. 12:38
@forever I have had the same problems before I think it might be realspace but i'm not sure...
Forever 19. juli 2020 kl. 14:33
I will keep a better track of bugs in the future but at the start of the game, I usually use the vanilla combat computers/ranges.

@forever That issue where one of your fleets just wanders off in the wrong direction, I have no idea what's going on there. the fact that another seemingly identical fleet works properly suggests it's another weird vanilla bug with combat movement and not an issue where my patch failed to fix something.

The other one though, where your ships stay way back, might be my patch... Could you take a couple screenshots of the ship loadouts in the ship designer for me? Specifically, I'd need to see the weapon tooltip, the combat computer tooltip, and the ship behavior tooltip (the slot right below weapon computer, added by NSC)

Another weird bug example...

Or it's just a bug that got highlighted more with the System Scale that is triggering it :(
Heyy_ItsCaitlyn  [ophavsmand] 18. juli 2020 kl. 22:40
@forever after looking at your video a bit more, I'm not sure this is a bug with my patch - I took a quick look through and the problem I thought was happening (that ships would orbit around each other outside of weapons range) is not the issue at the timestamp you marked. instead it looks like your fleet just isn't attacking for some reason; a quick google search turns up a couple results detailing this as a vanilla bug, although none from the last year or so. I'm not sure if that means it's "fixed" or if people just stopped posting about it.
John Shepherd N7117 18. juli 2020 kl. 17:18
I can confirm the range issue is there. The patch is below Real space and NCS2 and ranges are weird.
Forever 18. juli 2020 kl. 16:42
I also have some other bugs that I found today in my streaming session. and I can provide them if you want :)
Forever 18. juli 2020 kl. 16:42
Yup, I have placed them last in the load order...

@forever are you sure that this patch is overwriting both NSC and Real Space scaling? that issue you're seeing is exactly what it's intended to fix.
Forever 18. juli 2020 kl. 7:38
Strike craft seems to be very affected by these mods and sometimes they take ages until they reach each other in order to fight and sometimes they get buggy and run around instead of going straight to the enemy target.

Thank you kindly.
Some issues:
Artillery targetting computer has less range than Line. Line ships have 80 , and artillery drops to 13.

Also the range of the upgraded electromagnatic flux accelerator (battle S specific beefed up autocannon) is suppose to be as far reaching as L slots, and it has similar range to an auto canon.
