ABANDONED MOD! Yes it works, but the dev no longer updates it. To avoid headaches, I suggest you refrain from installing either the beta and/or stable of this mod.

as that pack is much better, and includes correct lights for different a host of different situations as well as having dedicated left and right turn lights.

Reinstalling traffic signal props appeared to help reduce prop issues.

Correction. Seems to be more sporadic than I initially thought. Sometimes one or two traffic signals will be rotated by 90 degrees, facing the wrong way.

I found using network extensions 2 causes prop errors with both this and the stable version.

@Cgameworld -- Also...where can I find the xml file for BIG Urban Traffic Lights pack? I'd like to look at it to see all the formatting and maybe use it as a template for creating my own pack.

@Cgameworld -- I forget where we ended up on this. Can this mod change the lights for each intersection and each direction at the intersection? Meaning, can we apply one specific traffic light for each of the 4 directions at one intersection, but have them completely different at another intersection with the same types of roads?

I *think* we ended up not continuing down that path because it was too difficult.

Where I'm left now is I can change the lights overall with this mod for small, medium and large roads, then use BOB to change them for specific roads (or all roads), but there's no way to customize each light at each intersection. Am I correct?

@Cgameworld -- Thanks so much for the info. I've been able to follow all the directions except for the final step. I can't find the TRLLocal folder on my system. I'm on Mac. I've been able to find the TRLModSettings.xml file, but I can't seem to local the TRLLocal folder.

For reference, here is the path to the TRLModSettings.xml file:

/Users/LemonFiles/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Cities_Skylines/TLRModSettings.xml

It likely won’t work, to make it work first show the Pack Creator Helper window (in the game settings) and enable the Load TLRLocal Folder checkbox. Then download the xml config file for the lights from the GitHub repo [github.com] and place it in the TLRLocal folder

I have a question regarding the New American Traffic Lights - Yellow Style mod's traffic lights. It's listed in the description above that this is included. My question is, if I don't use the New American Traffic Lights - Yellow Style mod, but have extracted its traffic lights .crp files and have the locally loaded, will your mod still work with them?

@Wh!teRh!no -- I have issues with rotation if I open the options panel. If you close and reopen the game, they should reset. Check to see if that might be a problem?

I remember noticing that peculiarity with the NAF lights before and thought it was interesting. But I don't think it was related to this mod. Or at least I don't think since NAF seems to be programmed to be automatically placed on the far side of the road (with the near-side signals being placed where the standard traffic lights would normally be). Not sure if that's what you two are talking about below.

Have you considered starting a donation option for those interesting in helping fund additional research? What about a free-to-access alpha?

@RAFARIO Thanks for the reference images. In my previous comment, I meant screenshots in game but this is great too. For the vanilla lights showing up, if you are using network skins 2, that should be fixed in the next upcoming update (if not let me know).

For the issues with the oneway roads always displaying red lights on the opposite side, thanks for pointing this out, this probably happens since there are usually only pedestrian lights there before replacement. I’ll try to fix this specific situation.

Traffic lights currently display the current phase on the side of the road it is on, regardless of the settings in the mod. This as a side effect also makes many TM:PE custom timed traffic light configurations not display correctly when lights are placed on the opposite side of the road. Mismatched displayed light phases between sides will be an issue until I can figure out how to flip them along with the props.

Not sure why NAF lights work in that situation, strange

I -kind of- found of a fix for one way roads, using "NAF traffic lights" isntead, since they use.... the pedestrian lights instead.

However this is not always viable, specially when theres a lot of pedestrians

It would really be awesome to, allow per node customization since it could allow to just, use the traffic lights in the default placement on intersections that having them in the oposite side doen't work well.

I don't know if you actually meant photos, like real life photos, or screenshots of the game but I went on Streetview to get some examples in any case since my city uses the exact same locations and streets as the Brazilian city Belo Horizonte.

Per node customization is not possible currently, though I want to add this eventually in the future. It would require a lot more code to make it happen.

Great mod! However traffic lights in the oposite side of the road rarely works properly in one way intersections, T intersections and non-4 way intersections.

Is it possible to let the user set the trafic lights per node? and allow the user to set a specific traffic light to obey this or that rule?

@xMateoRO -- I had that happen to me too, but it's not this mod's fault. I was subscribed to another mod that caused it. American Sign Replacer was my culprit. Do you have any other mods that change road related things?

@LemonsterOG I don't see the issue on my end, network skins shows all options. Is it only on specific networks?
