Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated. However, since my PC is very unhappy with Stellaris, I have been reticent to devote time and effort to updating and maintaining mods for a game that I rarely play (Stellaris enters epic CHUG mode about a hundred or so years in on my ten-year-old PC). I would not be hurt if someone else were to take these up, but I will definitely return to updating and improving them once I get new hardware

Working on 2.7 this week, folks. Have some issues to address with some mods, but for now they all still "work," just not with multiplayer because Paradox (using 'outdated' mods disables all multiplayer functionality, at least in my experience)

I've found that these mods aren't working. Is there a specific place they need to go in the Load order?

Additionally any chance of a NSC2 patch? (Doesn't work with or without NSC2 enabled)

Could youi please put the disclaimer that its just a continuation etc not at the top, but instead a short description of what the mod does? Because as it is you always have to open the workshop poge to see what it does instead of beeing able to see the preview?

For the mod showing the wrong version, i found that deleting the Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/mods_registry.json before opening the launcher forced the launcher / steam to check and redownload missing workshop mod files.

Maybe not a good idea, but you could put the disclaimer at the bottom of the mod description instead of the top, and people can still preview the actual description.

It's been happening for a lot of mods. Closing the launcher, unsubbing, then resubbing will get you the descriptor.

I have no idea why they might be missing a descriptor file. It definitely exists and I do not see the same error, Not Evil. I'm gonna blame Paradox's obtusity. I'd recommend possibly removing the mod files from your local machine and re-acquiring them, both from the Steam Workshop folder and Paradox's mod folder.

And no, they are standalone - I wouldn't be so bold or insane as to attempt to mod the mod of another mod.

wait, i've made a discovery. what i did is close the launcher, unsubbed, then resubbed the files. after doing this a couple of times, unsubbing and resubbing the files with the flags, i have gotten all of them to load up without the flags. i will play test the game to see if there is any internal issues. if you dont see me post something else, its working.

i have the same issue. advanced ship, planetary cannons, def plat longevity, and carrier improvments are all flagged as not having descriptor files, and are not activatable.

Hey Kith, thanks a ton. The "Advanced Ship Sections, Better Admiral Experience and Starbase Improvements" all have an error flag in the Stellaris Launch Mod Manager that states the following: "This mod is missing the descriptor file. Please contact the author of this mod."

actually the admiral experience was for the time being where you got no xp in vanilla :D
