What's the current state of this mod? Does it work after the latest barotrauma update "Calm before the storm?" If so, is it still difficult to navigate through caves due to background textures?

update 1.2.4

all biome files have been fully rewritten, now all biome variants should be properly intergrated and longstanding texture scale issues should be resolved.

outdated particle references removed which should solve the missing particles error but if i've missed any let me know.

caves... this mod does not change cave sprites but the fix on wall texture scale might help

Not sure if this is an issue with your mod but caves are basically impossible to navigate because the background flickers and merges with the walls. I do use the patch and DE as well. Any ideas? The background basically looks like the walls

I've noticed in freecam that background objects like the ones in caves will dissapear when not near the center of the screen. is this an intended feature for this mod or a bug?

Beautiful textures, but sadly the objects flickering in and out was making it difficult for me to enjoy/play. Single player and no dynamic europa.. oh well :( (I know it's a known issue, hopefully a way around is found?)

Same issue as GVLT and Billy Hays below, will check in once this issue is resolved. Adds a gorgeous look to a mostly bland landscape, so a shame until I can use it again.

I have a problem with objects appearing/dissapearing depending on the view angle and that very annoying. I plat with Dynamic Europa and compatibility patch for it. Any fix to it?

I really enjoy the general look of the mod, but navigating caves is horrendous with how the background blends in with the foreground. It's to a point where I have to avoid going caving at all, with how annoying it is.

Having a similar problem to other users where the background and foreground blend in too easily and I straight up cannot see the damaging crystals very well at all, even with a flashlight. I would love to use this mod if there was some remedy to these issues as it's really making missions involving caves to be a drag.

Great mod but I have a hard time enjoying the caves due to it being very difficult to see those crystals that damage you. I recommend making them stand out a little more

Hello, i got feedback for frith biome
is there a way to reduce the amount of hydrothermal waste lava (sorry i dont know the exact name) to improve the fps?
it eat about 5 - 10 fps which drop game performance

my spec is RTX 3050 but the game run at 30 - 35 fps
when i unload the mod, it improve to 40 fps
(the probable average cause were updates in large amount of item (9ms), 10 character (9ms), map entities (12 ms) and lighting (2ms)

This isn't so much a bug report as just gauging the waters, but does anyone else have a hard time telling the foreground from the background in some cave variations? I love the colors and art direction for the most part, by my eyes are just not able to tell the foreground and background apart in some instances and it makes trying to cave crawl super difficult.

@lordFrith Oh didn't mean to ninja it. I can add you as an author so you can add your adjustments as well if you'd like. Currently it just replaces the textures, but doesn't increase the background objects so cold caverns may look a bit less dense than usual with Frith's Biomes. But I also don't know about performance so not sure if increasing it would be good since DynamicEuropa's level generation is already a bit more on the performance heavy side I think.

@Toaster Oven hmmm, its mildly incompatible, game will run OK with my biomes overiding... BUT:

DE adds wrecks to earlier levels and tweaks some level shapes slightly which FB would override, so wreck placement etc will be reverted to more like vanilla.

a patch might be good then as a lot of people seem to ask about DE

Thanks for looking into it. If it's incompatible, a compatibility patch would be amazing---for your textures and flora changes are just too good to not have over the original textures.

For that you might want to get in touch with the Dynamic Europa Modding team
as they are having performance issues related to the recent big update they put out and have had to recently revert some changes and make a bunch of quick updates to do so. Maybe you could
even help them out in the process.

station/wreck/beacons mods work fine with it, the level files just change level, not the wrecks/stations that spawn in it

i should actually look at dynamic europa files and see if there is conflict i have no idea, 2 mins

So this mod won't work with other mods that change outposts
I.e. Dynamic Europa, Stations from Beyond, etc?

Also is this compatible with mods that add --New-- wrecks?
