@Nanu
I have no idea.

Hey there, is this still up to date and working with newest patch and AA? ^^
Bedge 13 Feb, 2022 @ 2:04am
thankyou

leaving a second comment to say that i just finished the rewrite and mod now displays that it works with v3.2
explodoboy  [author] 12 Feb, 2022 @ 9:53pm
Just leaving a comment to note that this mod should work just fine in v3.2, although I'm currently in the process of rewriting everything mostly from scratch to improve the mod.
explodoboy  [author] 6 Nov, 2021 @ 10:08pm
That's the mod launcher, for you.
Silver Blur 5 Oct, 2021 @ 4:00am
This mod likes to just... flip a coing whenever the launcher starts to see if it works or not.

At this point, it's simpler to grab this mod's .yml file and use it to manually replace the original in the workshop folder
explodoboy  [author] 2 Jun, 2021 @ 10:54am
Hm. I'm assuming that the original author of Advanced Ascension changed the localisation file, then. I'll get that fixed ASAP.
Xenos 1 Jun, 2021 @ 8:00pm
Hey mate, you have to change the file name to nnn_l_english, otherwise it doesn't overwrite anything and doesn't work.
explodoboy  [author] 2 May, 2021 @ 4:07pm
Probably. I'll just update the mod so that it'll hopefully work with the latest version of Stellaris.
Nicho 2 May, 2021 @ 3:34pm
With Irony I am, yes. Not with the PDX launcher. Still need to investigate if it's 3.0.3 - I suspect so.
explodoboy  [author] 2 May, 2021 @ 3:29pm
It should be fine, as long as you're able to still load the mod.
Nicho 2 May, 2021 @ 1:35am
I'm getting a strange error; "This mod is missing a descriptor file". However when I investigate the mod contents, I can see there IS a descriptor file in there. I have no idea what's going on with this. Will investigate, but additional help will be well received (and, likely - necessary!)
explodoboy  [author] 17 Mar, 2021 @ 2:14am
finally updated the mod, since the writing isnt up to my standards anymore. hope y'all like what i did with the mod
Nicho 30 Nov, 2020 @ 2:24am
I'm glad this mod exists. I figured out how to update Localisations over the weekend and this was the first thing I was going to target. You've saved me a job! Nya-ha. Thanks very much.,

Finally, update the .mod files so that they point to path instead of archive, with the correct directory located.
And that's it, should work perfectly and stops being misread by the mod loader. If you want to go further, say changing the name or updating the game version it's for, make a true local copy instead. If you have any issues with the mod loader still, suggest also going for a true local copy.
True local copy meaning making a copy in Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/mod instead of altering the workshop file.
Seeker Erebus 11 Jun, 2020 @ 6:23pm
Was able to fix this locally. Easy enough.
First, extract the mod from the archive and delete the archive, making sure contents are in the same folder. Not sure why, but Stellaris 2.4 onward really doesn't like archived mods.
Next, move common/localisation/nnn_l_english.yml to common/localisation/replace/ This marks it to overwrite prior localisation.
Then remove README.txt. Not sure if this is necessary, but since .txt files are read by the game it easily could be. Alternative is to comment the entire thing out (place '#' at the beginning of each line)

I will take a look at it.
Chris 3 May, 2020 @ 7:57am
I have now disabled all other mods and have the same issue: would love to get this working!
Chris 3 May, 2020 @ 7:51am
Thank you for this mod: I'm inclined not to use the base version due to the quality of the writing (although I am, of course, grateful to the designer in any case!). I am struggling to get your mod to work properly though. I am new to the scene, and have the following installed from top to bottom: 1) Starnet; 2) Hemothep's dynamic difficulty; 3) Advanced Ascension; 4) Ancient Cache of Technologies; and 5) Advanced Ascension (English localisation). The launcher note that your mod only works with game version 2.3.3, although I do see your post below in relation to the same. When I start a new game, none of your text is included in the traditions. Any suggestions to fix, would be much appreciated! Thanks for all of your hard work :)
SilentKore (The Better One TM) 4 Apr, 2020 @ 12:36am
Oh okay, thanks for letting me know!
explodoboy  [author] 3 Apr, 2020 @ 8:02pm
It works with BOTH versions. I've just listed the no extra slot out of preference.
SilentKore (The Better One TM) 3 Apr, 2020 @ 5:43pm
Does this mod only work with the "no extra slot" version?
explodoboy  [author] 22 Feb, 2020 @ 9:27am
Yep. As long as it's not a full version update (ex: 2.1 to 2.2) there should be NO issues, ESPECIALLY with Localisation Patches, since they don't really modify the game themselves.
Lulu's Hawk 21 Feb, 2020 @ 9:38pm
The launcher is whining at me about a version mismatch. I presume this is a side effect of you've not kept that bit of the mod files up to date, and it should work just fine?
explodoboy  [author] 22 Oct, 2019 @ 4:45pm
No problem.

Please, PLEASE hound, insult, and berate me if you notice any grammatical/spelling mistakes anywhere in the mod or description. I am a perfectionist and thus want the mod to be as perfect as can be.
Remus_ 22 Oct, 2019 @ 9:50am
Oh god, this is amazing. Having more ascension perks was a must for me, and I went to great lengths reworking the English in this mod for my own private use and saved it as a local mod back when we were using Le Guin; I've always been a bit of a snob when it comes to 'the Queen's English', or more colloquially, a bit of a grammar Nazi. Of course, I couldn't be bothered to keep it going for every consecutive update. Frankly, I'm not even sure if I still have that file, so I'm ecstatic that someone felt the same way about the situation, and equally happy about its convenient availability at around the time I decided to re-jig my mod list for 2.4. If you don't mind my saying so, I can't wait to review your work!
explodoboy  [author] 27 Sep, 2019 @ 1:28pm
Check out my RPG Traits localisation mod, then!

It also has a couple bugfixes regarding Opinion modifiers not working as intended.

Please do, there's a decent likelihood that they're mods I already use haha
explodoboy  [author] 26 Sep, 2019 @ 4:15pm
@Maritisa

Thank you! It took a while to do it, but in the end it was worth it! I may not be very great at modding at the moment, but I do what I can to improve this community.

I might upload the other localisation tweaks/improvements I've made. Maybe...
Maritisa 26 Sep, 2019 @ 3:14am
You're doing god's work here, friend. Stellaris has many great mods which are unfortunately plagued by stumbles in their writing that do quite take away from the experience.
