@jimbibby, This game mod was last updated for 2.8, so I'm not sure why you would ask that. It's been one of the most update durable mods of all time.

You can now find an updated and integrated version of the story in the independently-maintained 'Forgotten Empires' compilation by Inny78 !

So you took the other mod offline (that had a fixed relic image) yet still have not updated this to fix that issue or update it at all in over 3 years?
@LegitGamer1017 yes this still works, but the relics image is still using the outdated format and thus has a big white square around it.

quick fix for gfx assets:
go to interface/ziaskehorn.gfx
replace every mention of gfx/FX/buttonstate.lua with gfx/FX/buttonstate.shader

if you save directly into the steam workshop files, it will get rewritten again, so make a new patch mod of your own.

Yeah same issue with relic pictures as the Nyblax and Collectors pack. They changed a way certain elements are displayed in 3.6 and I wish I could fix it myself.

This works OK in 3.6.1 except the picture of the relic seems corrupted.

The mod should still work, but is not a priority item to get updated, sorry. There'll be more story content in the future, with an update to this story included.

@Sjru -- It's on the back-burner for now, until Origins Extended's updated is done, but will probably be updated afterwards (just a version change to calm the launcher down). I'm not planning on adding more content or really fixing bugs for the mod at this point, but am definitely working on an updated version as part of a larger stories pack.

A larger digsites storypack sounds cool. This digsite isn't bad or anything, I guess my expectations were just a bit high because of the 5 star rating, the nearly 15k subscribers, and the sleek cover image and then the general's dying caught me completely off guard too.

And respect for taking the message I wrote in anger so well. Sorry if I was a little passive aggressive.

A warning that the relic kills your generals when the active effect wears off would've been welcome. I suppose it is thematically appropriate, but I was still rather bitter when it happened. I was also disappointed by how short the story was and how little it explained the origin of the Fires.

Just a warning for those updating to a new version - there's an issue with the new Stellaris mod manager (it might have been also with the old one too) where it doesn't load mods properly the first time after it has been updated. To get around this, have a lot of backup saves and be sure to restart the game at least once (as in load it up twice in a row, quitting to desktop). I had to go about some serious save hacking to restore the Ziaskehorn archeological site as well as other mods. Might be OS-specific.

That's my answer to @Quentopolis comment "game doesn't think it has been updated sometimes". It's a general issue I hope will be solved by Paradox in the near future so I don't have to meticulously check all the modifiers from various mods and so on are still there every time I load up the game.

@Do'tasarr o Khajiit  - Not necessarily no, though it does have a relatively low chance of spawning each time you survey a molten world, but because they are quite common, it tends to pop-up rather early, therefore, closely to your starting location.

Thank you for the work you do on this mod. Note that this seems to be a problem with Stellaris launcher. I had deleted all mod files from C:\Users\User\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris\mod, then relaunched Steam and now it shows your mod as up to date. I'm not sure why Paradox does not include some kind of mod version verification functionality...

@Eksorium - Yes it has! Everything should run smoothly, let me know otherwise. Apparently the game doesn't think it has been updated sometimes (shows the red version warning), I've been looking into a fix.

@rawester2 - Try restarting the game and making sure the mod is enabled in the launcher. Restarting Steam (fully, not just closing the window) and unsubscribing + resubscribing may also work, if the problem persists try restarting your computer. From my tests the mod still installs correctly, might be a steam/network issue. Let me know if the problem persists! :)

For some reason, this mod refuses to install even when there is no mod installed. I have all the DLC, so I have no idea why this mod will not install.
