This mod is now broken and leave your fleet and spaceport unable to attack. Turn this on if you hate space battles. Otherwise use this alternative: https://sp.zhabite.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2028840023

finally i no longer have to deal with 900 fleet power fleets spawning near my outposts for no reason other than my empire is powerful

Works with current version no problems.

ETA on an update? Trade is such an annoying mechanic because of those darn pirates.

Tried to find an automatic efficient route creator mod but since this whole piracy is so stupid, I'd rather disable it.
Sono 2 września 2019 o 10:51
Yeah... The way piracy is implemented is terrible.
Just an annoyance, specially late game maps with no gates.

Thanks for this.

Thank you for this mod! I expected that the entire piracy game mechanic would be one that wasn't just RNG and bingo! you've got pirates. Pirates in space need to work FROM somewhere and thus have a base of some sort be it in space or on a planet. Hunting down pirates should be a constant 'need to protect the spacelanes' but one of hunting and removing pirate organizations when they arise. If they are going after 'trade' then add in an entire trade-convoy mechanic instead of just putting trade numbers on bases and resources. Yes this would require entire new classes of ships for freighters and such, but if you are going to have piracy then put in the ships they prey on and then let players set up a real convoy mechanic. Do it all or don't do it, RNG doesn't work for me.

感谢,P社原版的设定实在是太蠢了,1000星就吃CPU1000的额外计算量

The mod doesn't seem to be working for me. Could it be that another mod overwrites this one?

Your doing God's work. Thanks!

i never understood why the police can handle crime in general, but it's up to you to manage specific bouts of piracy. Thank you for building the mod.
Heimskr 12 stycznia 2019 o 10:53
Thanks! It's so annoying to have like 10 patrol fleets exploring the same general area of space, and still get pirates that spawn in the SAME SYSTEM my patrol is in, even though my patrol is like 6x stronger than them.

Try that mod, made a huge differance in my performance. Testing this mod out now because I don't care for the piracy mechanic to begin with.

oh btw is it possible to make a mod that remove trade routes entirely ? this garbage cause major lag in my games since release
scott4dges 21 grudnia 2018 o 17:04
@szszss No worries :steamhappy: I'm just glad the mod didn't disappear completely!

@scott4dges Terrible sorry. The fact is that, when I updated this mod on December 14th, I uploaded a new mod rather than updating the existing one by mistake. I re-updated this mod when I realized that the updating was failed, and this time it worked. But I didn't remove the "new mod" (which has same content like this) because I didn't know there it was. Two days ago I noticed it and removed the "new mod" immediately, hoped that no one would notice my fault. But I was wrong again! :)

Just wondering, was there an update to this mod? I had it in my load order, but then for some reason it became unsubscribed. I only noticed because I got ganked by a huge pirate fleet! I looked at my trade routes and piracy was through the roof! HAHA Anyways, re-subscribing now. Great mod!

The solution isn't elegant, but I love that you did this. It made my save file playable again, thank you so much!
Spirit 14 grudnia 2018 o 20:18
i hate it that literally ALL of my major trade routes are full of pirate scum ...
thanks for fixing this out
Trion3 14 grudnia 2018 o 17:47
wouldnt be a idea to have a mod where you could have multiple waypoints on patrol routes, so that you could have 1-2 small fleets, just going aroud and, you would just add more WP as you expand

My patrol button doesn't work, so I'm downloading this.

I think it's possible, but I don't really approve of it. It sounds like the behavior of pirates in Stellaris 2.0, when the pirates forced player to claim every unowned systems around the border. This feature is useless for expansionism players since they certainly claim every unowned systems. It, however, is painful for players who prefer a small and fine empire. They have to suffer the raiding of pirates who come from the unowned systems around their empires.

Personally, I miss the time before Stellaris 2.0, when the piracy was insignificant event in early game, and players could focus on conquering the Galaxy and massacring xeno :VSnake:. There are already many things players have to do in 2.2, such as planetary management which is more complicated than ever. So I want to free players from managing patrols. Let them forget piracy and focus on conquering again :)

Nice idea, getting bored about piracy within my own controlled space.

One thing, would it be possible to actually have piracy outside your own claimed space?
It is more understandable and would limit piracy outside your own borders, as official sector security should be enough to manage them inside your borders. How about? Is it possible?
