Try that mod, made a huge differance in my performance. Testing this mod out now because I don't care for the piracy mechanic to begin with.

Personally, I miss the time before Stellaris 2.0, when the piracy was insignificant event in early game, and players could focus on conquering the Galaxy and massacring xeno
One thing, would it be possible to actually have piracy outside your own claimed space?
It is more understandable and would limit piracy outside your own borders, as official sector security should be enough to manage them inside your borders. How about? Is it possible?
