this map does not have AI nodes. I dont even think It has a correct nav mesh. This map was not designed for bots.

I also tried to spawn a dupe in the pool and my fps also dropped. I tried to spawn the walker in different maps with water. Spawning a dupe in water on other maps like gm_construct or ttt_waterworld also dropped my fps significantly. So this is rather a problem with the engine.
I guess the game has to calculate all the water physics from the single parts of the dupes.
There will be a optimization update next week. Hopefully this will improve the FPS.

That update was based on feedback from the community. For example there were wishes for bigger pools, a more uniform look, more dated props etc. I tried to implement these things, but It is impossible to please anyone. There were also some other minor changes and bug fixes (enabled HDR again).
I am quite happy with the changes. The map looks now like it was made in 2016 and not in 2012. My goal is not to inconvenience players, but to make the map better. That is why I have spent extra hours from my free time in this map.
For me at least I still have stable FPS over 100. Next week on the 29th May there will be a new Garrys Mod Update. I'll release the last update (optimization) at the same time. A server restart will be necessary anyway.
In my opinion it is easier to update the map while it is still new. This map is not in many collections and will cause less inconvenience for everybody then later.

I have just made it so everyone has to wait until next server restart to play the map. Featuring lower fps rate due to unecessary updates.

Try updating the map and restart gmod and relaunch. Maybe that will fix the problems.
