Should I use non capitals?
Does your name, that you put into the .bat, have a capital letter?
If the template is placed without any change or rename then the template image apppears correctly
Simply changing the name makes the small species image to not showing.

I do know Tiled is used for dungeons, and the ship is technically a dungeon. I do not know if you can use Tiled to help with ships as I do not use it.
I'll let you know, that if you increase the block image 800%, it lines up with the ship's image. So I don't know what works for you, you may wish to draw the block key, scale it up 8 times then draw your ship around it. OR draw your ship, block in some block colours and shrink it to make a guide. I've mucked around with both.
Again I am sure there are other's with more experience with custom ships :P
As far as weps go, my knowledge is fairly limited. I can see that at the bottom of the combobroadsword.animation file there is:

Might want to play around with that. Tbh I would ask Ribs or Nebulox for advice, they know their stuff. Alternatively, download some custom weps that have custom sounds, and crack open the files and see how it is done.
In regards to your invis wep, check your log and see what it says.
There is a cat hat (that can be purchased at the merchant) that has an effect applied to it. Files for it are in items/armors, stats/effects and particles.

I made up other status effects and didn't ever end up using that one.🤔
Also, I never had such an error myself in all my testing so far.
Removed the items that are found in the starter treasure, and replaced it with the line
{"pool" : "starterTreasure"},
This allows for other mods to tweak the vanilla starter treasure, and have it apply to the custom race.
I am sorry for aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall of the race mods that have my error in them >_>

That the first line of body colour having a double up of ffffff is causing an issue,

I have pasted that line into a random species file of mine... and yeah... that's the crash :P
