Heyo! Great templates, my mod is coming out so good! But, I had a question I can’t find the answer to anywhere. There are ten options for replacement colors and it’s very easy to alter those, but is it possible to add MORE options? I’m making a Neopets mod, and 10 colors just isn’t enough to me lol

Hazzah! Run the bat again and use lowercase letters. You can have your descriptions be capitalised, but not item/file names.

I am having troubles with the species portrait when starting new game. (The small ones from "interface/title"

If the template is placed without any change or rename then the template image apppears correctly
Simply changing the name makes the small species image to not showing.

Please may you help?

So I bugged Ribs about the wep sounds.

I do know Tiled is used for dungeons, and the ship is technically a dungeon. I do not know if you can use Tiled to help with ships as I do not use it.

I'll let you know, that if you increase the block image 800%, it lines up with the ship's image. So I don't know what works for you, you may wish to draw the block key, scale it up 8 times then draw your ship around it. OR draw your ship, block in some block colours and shrink it to make a guide. I've mucked around with both.

Again I am sure there are other's with more experience with custom ships :P

As far as weps go, my knowledge is fairly limited. I can see that at the bottom of the combobroadsword.animation file there is:

}
Might want to play around with that. Tbh I would ask Ribs or Nebulox for advice, they know their stuff. Alternatively, download some custom weps that have custom sounds, and crack open the files and see how it is done.

In regards to your invis wep, check your log and see what it says.

also, do you know of any tools that make making the custom ship easier? would Tiled work? I'm just a bit confused because I'm not sure how to change the ship layout and the coloured blockmap to match up since they'e different resolutions.

I'm no good with code, so this is probably something really easy to fix: how do I change the sound effect of the broadsword when you swing it? where would I place the "sounds" {} thingy? also changing lines 13 and 19 from broadsword.animation to energybroadsword.animation and meleeweapon.lua to energymeleeweapon.lua changes the swish colour to what i wanted but the weapon becomes invisible in my hand.

There is a cat hat (that can be purchased at the merchant) that has an effect applied to it. Files for it are in items/armors, stats/effects and particles.

Is "skadvtesteffect1" in use anywhere by default? I made a custom race with this template, and someone left me a message on its workshop page, saying:
[20:07:06.191] [Error] Exception caught in client main-loop
(StatusEffectDatabaseException) No such unique stat effect 'xenomiteanomalyeffect1'

I made up other status effects and didn't ever end up using that one.🤔
Also, I never had such an error myself in all my testing so far.

Fixed the treasurepools.patch file

Removed the items that are found in the starter treasure, and replaced it with the line

{"pool" : "starterTreasure"},

This allows for other mods to tweak the vanilla starter treasure, and have it apply to the custom race.

I am sorry for aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall of the race mods that have my error in them >_>

I see the line

That the first line of body colour having a double up of ffffff is causing an issue,

I've tried using this mod, but it crashed upon opening starbound. I checked the logs, and it said there's something wrong with the .species file. All I did was edit the name, character creation category names, the amount of hair textures, and the colours used for the race. I have no idea what's wrong.
