Another thought -- After moving/copying the built dock to its permanent location:
1) using MoveIt, select the doc's buildings (*not* the road segments/nodes) and delete them; close MoveIt;
2) using the terraforming tool, bring the soil level of the area internal to the dock roads to as close to road level as you can; exit the tool;
3) reopen MoveIt and use CTL-Z to restore the building assets to the dock.
Probably related, when I try to use the additional props (ladders, tyres etc.) they won't move vertically. Prop and tree anarchy is on.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Just looking for examples of different styles.

Could it be implemented as a custom quay (for the main part of the dock) and then have the other adornments (tires, piers, barriers, etc) as leisure buildings? So just as you can put a marina on a quay, you could put a pier on the dock.... would make constructing docks much, much easier and also facilitate curves and cause terrain behind dock to align easily.
Thanks!
