Can you use this with Prop Control instead of Prop Snapping?

Lucibal, assuming you're talking about the wall sections, are you sure you're not viewing them from the reverse side? I've been using these assets for a few months now with no problems.
Lucibal 8. apr. 2021 kl. 9:45
could you update assets (they appear half invisible, mostly without top part)

Here is an idea to avoid having to draw roads *under* the dock you are building (and which I presume is the cause of the flooded roads others are asking about) -- place a row (or even 2 rows) of the Doc Free(standing) asset alongside the *outside* of the doc's roads, and snap the sidewalls to those assets. This will hide the raised ground under the doc's surface roads, both as it is being built and after copying or moving it to its permanent location.

Another thought -- After moving/copying the built dock to its permanent location:
1) using MoveIt, select the doc's buildings (*not* the road segments/nodes) and delete them; close MoveIt;
2) using the terraforming tool, bring the soil level of the area internal to the dock roads to as close to road level as you can; exit the tool;
3) reopen MoveIt and use CTL-Z to restore the building assets to the dock.

For those with the flooded road issue, you can just make the dock wider to conceal the rough edges where you want roads.
Corinthian 8. okt. 2020 kl. 22:09
I know it's related to another mod but I'm stuck... when I try to apply decals to the dock they conform to the terrain below. Can anyone suggest why that might be?

Probably related, when I try to use the additional props (ladders, tyres etc.) they won't move vertically. Prop and tree anarchy is on.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Finally I watched the video tutorial. Really clever...
Troubadixx 22. mar. 2020 kl. 23:29
@ronyx69 These are still the best docks on the workshop. Thanks again. Did you ever think of converting the main retaining walls of your docks into a network?
DRen72 17. mar. 2020 kl. 13:20
Does anybody know of a saved game on the workshop where these are already built?
Just looking for examples of different styles.

For everyone complaining about the flooded road issue, I made mine using the retaining wall included in Stately Homes: Chatsworth House and it worked really well. I don't think you can get the retaining wall asset without downloading the whole house and you might need the Find It mod or something else like that to see it separate from the house. There are probably other retaining walls that would work just as well, but I already had Stately Homes downloaded. It gets rid of the flooding notification and also solves some of the unrealistic water movement that you get if you put it in an area with a current. it solves this because you can put the retaining wall around the docs and then increase the elevation of the terrain under the docs so that it blocks the water. Otherwise the water just flows through the dock. Fixes two minor problems with assets that are otherwise fantastic.

Gorgeous looking asset. Has anyone figured out how to place the docks in water without getting the flooded road icons all over though? Removing the roads causes visible mounds of earth to pop up around the docks, which ruins the nice look.

The textures didn't work / load properly. After a lot of searching I found out if I disable the Garbage AI + mod it worked..
caraea 17. feb. 2019 kl. 9:26
Do you use recomod for building industrial buildings?

The submerged roads are complaining about.. well, being submerged. How do you get around that? I have dozens of blue symbols blinking everywhere.

Ronyx69  [ophavsmand] 30. okt. 2017 kl. 12:49
@Slye_Fox Maybe someday, but quays just have to be insanely thick because of how the terraforming works, so it looks stupid.
Slye_Fox 30. okt. 2017 kl. 12:45
Any chance of making a quay wall using these textures?
Jones 27 28. okt. 2017 kl. 21:04
11 / 10 - truly very nice nice assets here - hope someone here got a clue why some of the lod is acting funny - then it is gonna be perfect
Ronyx69  [ophavsmand] 14. okt. 2017 kl. 5:02
@Overlord Yeah just don't place the roads lmao, or place them and then delete them.
Overlord 14. okt. 2017 kl. 4:24
Hey Ronyx. Is it possible to use your docks without the road as it is in your video tutorial? I understand the first part where you put everything together thanks to roads and the grid which road gives you but that "moving part" when it is finished and moved into the water. I dont like the roads in the docks :D I would like to use it without them but I dont know if it possible.
Troubadixx 5. okt. 2017 kl. 23:02
Ronyx, Thanks for your quick answer. I was wondering if the asset was easier to handle if there were two additional main dock parts of 8 squares length to build longer distances at once. Don´t get me wrong....your asset is stunning...
Ronyx69  [ophavsmand] 5. okt. 2017 kl. 3:15
@martin.pazdzior Vanilla theme but changed water, lut is some random local one i have, not for release.
Troubadixx 5. okt. 2017 kl. 2:07
Ronyx...great asset...as always. And thank you for the tutorial video. It helps a lot. Could you just tell me which theme and LUT you use in the screenshots shown above? Thanks man...

love the snappable modularity
leftbehind 27. sep. 2017 kl. 11:22
Looks great, but a bit of a PITA to use.

Could it be implemented as a custom quay (for the main part of the dock) and then have the other adornments (tires, piers, barriers, etc) as leisure buildings? So just as you can put a marina on a quay, you could put a pier on the dock.... would make constructing docks much, much easier and also facilitate curves and cause terrain behind dock to align easily.
Reicito 26. sep. 2017 kl. 13:55
