Sotha Sil's Mageblade

Description
Adds a powerful, and somewhat balanced mage's weapon. Sotha Sil's Mageblade is an ancient weapon that was used by Sotha Sil prior to achieving apotheosis with the Heart of Lorkhan.

----------------------------
| Detailed Description |
----------------------------

***************************Sotha Sil's Mageblade*******************************

Intended to be used by Mage builds, the dagger sacrifices the ability to dual cast for significantly increased spell power while providing the user with increased defenses. A much needed boost for mage builds.

Increases spell power by 50%.

Casts a 30 magnitude ward at 74 Restoration and below, the ward increases to 60 magnitude at 75 Restoration and higher.

It can be tempered with a Refined Moonstone and is affected by Elven Smithing, however the dagger does not attack.

Visually, it is a reskinned Iron Dagger.

***************************Sotha Sil's Spellblade********************************

A version of the Mageblade which does not cast the ward but can be used to attack. It is statistically the same as a glass dagger, but is lighter and cannot be enchanted.

It can be tempered with a Refined Moonstone and is affected by Elven Smithing.

--------------------
| How to Obtain |
--------------------

Sotha Sil's Mageblade can be found within a display case in the Archmage's Quarters at the College of Winterhold.

Sotha Sil's Spellblade can be obtained by combining a Refined Moonstone and the Sotha Sil's Mageblade at a forge. It is listed under Elven Smithing but does not require it to transform. You can transform it back into the Mageblade the same way.

It reminds me of the wepons you have to buy for Cecil in Final Fantasy 4 before you go into the cave with the dark elf..Pretty darn neat!

Since it is a stacking multiplier which modifies the end magnitude of spells after Augmented Flames etc. I think the 50% is in a good spot. It gives you 50% more power at normal spell cost vs. dual casting's 120% more power at double spell cost with stagger. The dagger is a ton more efficient plus a free ward spell, but dual casting produces more dps.

I didn't want the dagger to make dual casting obsolete, but make it an alternative. Provided you don't get cheap with enchants and make your spells cost nothing, the dagger is a good option for pure mages or hybrids that want more spell power without the massive cost.

However, if more people feel like it needs more power I might change it.

I think this is awesome, Well done the old one resembled some sort of aylied weaponary I think, this one looks like a piece of loot scavenged from the clockwork city XD I knwo its meant to be pregoddom but even if you do gain more power he'd still have been obsessed with that stuff. But I think since your sacrficing the dual casting for this dagger and since it "should" be a locked case in the archmages quarters (just my opinion) i think the sepll boosting power should be updated to a 65%- 70% boost. Making it more of a reward for doing one of what i liek to call bethseda's "Lazy" questlines. (Lazy questlines are the ones obviously having been cut because they otherwise couldn't have met their deadline if they hadn't) However even if you dont decide to upgrade it I still think its awesome! Well done!

I think it looks good, less like a weapon but more than a ceremonic/supporting tool for spellcasting.

Was inevitable someone would like the old one, but the new version is definitely more interesting than a dagger with a design on the blade that didn't look like what was intended. I also remembered to do a specular map this time, shame skyrim doesn't get all the detail of the spec map to show though.
