Description
With the release of 3.8 and new sector management mechanics, the players now have the ability to customize their sectors as they seem fit!... Or so we thought.

While the update itself is a step in the right direction, the max sector limit still stays at around 4 jumps, you can customize your sector borders, but you're probably still end up with a sea of worthless sectors if not careful, and this mod aims to fix this! Primarily, speaking in roleplaying terms

Now, I know similar mods exist, but they are either outdated or change the max jump limit a tiny bit, here however, the jump limit has been increased to a whopping 100! Effectively making sectors fully customizable

The game works fine and great, but there are still a couple of issues that need to be addressed

tldr; vanilla sectors - small, this mod sectors - big

READ THIS FIRST
The starting capital sector will automatically get expanded with each star base you create, while not a bad idea on paper, your empire can get pretty large. The game doesn't malfunction technically, but it does so visually, the sector will start going nuts past a certain point. The solution? Pause the game, remove a couple of systems from the problematic sector and create a new one. While it can be tedious, the accurate and balanced sector borders that YOU design how YOU want are worth it in the end!

Sometimes, during a total war the game will crash upon losing a star system, be aware of that! To circumvent most of the issues in your game, you can actually prevent sectors from expanding by editing them and unticking the "auto-expand sector" option. As for the total wars, if the game crashes when an AI empire loses stations, try to reload your save and declare a regular war instead. I'm truly sorry for this inconvenience

tldr; graphic glitch? make new sector. Game crash? Disable "Auto-expansion"

Have fun! :)

@焱淼 I made a mod for it

It would be great if we could dynamically unlock star domains.
Sub-light engine upgrade, slight increase in star domain range;
Hyperdrive engine upgrade, slight increase in star domain range;
Only when (wormholes, gateways, psionic tunnels) are unlocked, allowing the expansion of the stellar domain through the portals.

要是能动态解锁星域范围就好啊。
亚光速引擎升级,微量增加星域范围;
超空间引擎升级,少量增加星域范围;
直到(虫洞、网关、灵能隧道)被解锁,允许通过传送门延伸星域范围。

@Mortarch Of Blood In theory, the mod should be compatible with most available mods, since it only changes two values that are barely accounted by other mods. It should be safe launching it with Real Space :)

Sorry for the 2nd question - will this work with mods like Real Space? Not sure if they're just a graphical mod or have reworked the galaxy...

@Logograms Should be, there are no major sector changes in the new version so it shouldn't cause any issues

Is it confirmed that this is still working post-Machine Age? (If so, you should probably update the version flag so it stops showing the error icon.)

Don't know if it's been mentioned, but with really large galaxies it can actually cause a crash when the sector gets too big. Beyond a point, turning off auto-sector becomes mandatory.

@Loan Shark Yeah, it should be all fine to launch, since 3.9 didn't introduce any changes to sector mechanics

Does this still work for 3.9?
