Dangerous Decompression

Beskrivelse
The purpose of this mod is to implement explosive decompression. The mod does not actually damage blocks in the event of decompression. Instead, it pushes every entity within the decompressed area towards an exit point. By modifying the settings, you can modify how dangerous the effects of the force are. The greater the force, the greater the impact damage.

By default, the mod is set up to not deal damage in most cases.

The mod has support for the Water Mod. When an airtight room suddenly becomes depressurized underwater, forces that scale with the exterior fluid pressure will push inwards instead of outwards.

This mod is dropping sim speeds we have profiled this mod and it showed 50k ms on the instance server owners use at your own risk. Removed it and have had no issues with sim speed. We have powerful hardware.

It would be really cool if decompression sounds could be added to the game somehow

Is this mod working as intended or are there issues?

has anyone else run into an issue where opening a door in space only sends you flying once after placing? i was able to recreate it several times by removing and replacing the door?

thanks!

@Mophise Do you pressureize the room by pumping in air from the outside (by having a vent on the outside set to depressurize)? Because as far as I know, it's normal Space Engineers behavior that it creates a bubble of lower pressure around the grid. Usually, this doesn't mean much, but combined with this mod, you suddenly realize that this bubble exists. AFAIK, you can do it the other way around too: On a planet where you JUST barely can't breath, a vent set to pressurize out in the open creates a small bubble aaround the grid where you can actually breathe. If I'm not wrong about this, that's vanilla behavior.

And one more discovery: if there's no weather, a reload of the game without removing the vents fixes it, too

After some testing, it seems that pressurising a room on a planet makes the area around the room that's considered to be part of the grid looses air pressure, so you end up with a low pressure bubble around the room. To fix it, you have to remove all the vents then reload the game.
