[WOTC] ADVENT Armor: Pathfinder

Description
(If you want a mod that sets up NightNinja54's Advent Armors for LWOTC play, go here.)

This is another mod in the series of armor mods that goes with NightNinja54's ADVENT Armor: Reverse-Engineering mod, also relying on Claus' Pathfinder Cosmetics mod and Pathfinders mod.

Default configurations are slightly different from the other Advent Armor mods, to fit in better with LWOTC. To elaborate:
  • The default value for the Deception ability is only 20% detection radius reduction, rather than the usual 50%, making it slightly weaker than Covert or Ghostwalker. This was a necessary nerf as detection radius bonuses are additive, not multiplicative, and I didn't want to allow a stealth Shinobi to be able to get even stealthier than a vanilla Reaper. It can still be stacked with the aforementioned abilities as well as a traditional SMG to reduce a soldier's detection radius down to almost nothing. Obviously, feel free to change this back for consistency if you want, especially if you're not playing with classes that can learn their own detection radius reduction abilities.

  • An XComLW_InfiltrationSettings.ini is included to add an infiltration bonus to the Advent Pathfinder Armor. The default value makes this armor take only 3/4ths of the time to infiltrate than a Kevlar Armor does.

  • An XComLW_Overhaul.ini is included to set up the Advent Pathfinder Armor for single builds, separate costs and requirements in LWOTC. It will also disable the squad upgrade schematic, but only for LWOTC players.

With default values left as they are, the Advent Pathfinder Armor grants 1 health, 1 armor, and 1 mobility. In LWOTC, they each cost 10 Supplies, 2 Alien Alloys, 1 Elerium Dust and 1 Pathfinder Corpse to build. The Reverse-Engineering research and the Pathfinder Autopsy are both required to build them. They're a good option if supplies and/or alloys are too scarce to justify Predator Armors.

Mod requirements:
  • [WOTC] ADVENT Armor: Reverse-Engineering is a hard requirement to make everything work properly.
  • [WoTC] Pathfinder Cosmetics is a hard requirement in order for the armor to actually show up and look right. I did not integrate the cosmetics, as this would have led to unnecessary bloat if you're using both this mod and the Pathfinder Hunter armor mod (both mods use the same arms and legs, just different torsos). The matching helmet (featured in the mod preview image) is also from this mod.
  • [WoTC] Pathfinders is required to get the necessary corpse and autopsy. You COULD change them to something else, but that would be silly so just don't do that and get this mod. Interesting enemies to fight and other fun loot to get.
  • Not a hard requirement, but I recommend grabbing [WOTC] ADVENT Armor: Trooper. Pathfinder Armor borrows an icon from it for the Deception ability. And really, the Advent Armor series is best when used all together. I'll make some LWOTC settings for the other armors soon, don't you worry about that.
  • LWOTC is not required for this mod to function, but I balanced it with LWOTC in mind.
  • Not a hard requirement, but my Pathfinder Hunter Armor mod is meant to be used along with this mod.
(Please note that all of my personal testing has been with LWOTC.)

Known issues:
  • Clipping, lots and lots of clipping. The Pathfinders' armors weren't intended to include weapons stored on the back, so the backpack will clip with things like swords and combat knives (Iridar's Rocket Launchers seem to sit on there pretty nice though). Also, arms may be clipping through the cape, with certain soldier attitudes more than others.
If you run into other bugs, bring them to my attention and I'll try my best to fix them.

Conflicts:
None that I know of.

Future plans:
  • This mod is basically done, minus any potential bug fixing. Unless nelVlesis surprises me with more 2D assets to include or something.

Credits:
  • NightNinja54 for coding the original Advent Armor mods and the Reverse Engineering mod, which made the making of this mod super easy. Also for helping me straighten out the XComContent.ini.
  • Claus for making the very nice Pathfinder and Pathfinder cosmetics mods that inspired this one.
  • nelVlesis for making the new inventory images and ability icons.
(If I need to credit anyone else, let me know and I will do so ASAP.)

Breaks the cosmetics. As in, the different coloured version disappears even with Unrestricted Customization REDUX, only makes the blue coloured lights appear. Red and Orange are gone.

Is it possible for it to use the Unrestricted Customization mod REDUX instead of the old one?

They are not individually built like the rest of your armors. Not sure why oh well to late now.

@123nick
Cosmetic options from the old pathfinder mod appear as options for normal armor as well, unless you fix it like described in the discussions section here.

Will this mod (and the hunter mod) be updated to use the newer Pathfinder Cosmetics 2022 mod? i noticed with the 2022 mod i could equip them without having actual pathfinder armor, which i think isnt intended behavior since IIRC using the older Pathfinder Cosmetics mod didnt show them as a normal cosmetic option, afaik they only showed up when equipping the actual armor item. its in the Superceded Mods List by iridar aswell, which is why i bring it up.

@Frizzeldian12 It should already work. Try it and see, let me know if anything weird happens. (You can ignore the missing dependency flag in this case.)

Can you have this work with the new pathfinder cosmetic cooked mod??
