Additional Weapon Pack

Description
Additional Weapon Pack

This mod was inspired by Richard's Weapon Pack and basically ports some models from Vanilla Xcom mods into WOTC.

The five weapons are the Automatic Shotgun, Assault Carbine, LMG, SAW and Marksman Rifle. So one for each weapon class, each weapon is basically a side grade so will not be massively better or worse but will work slightly differently and look different.

The Automatic Shotgun packs a drum magazine for increased ammunition and at the expense of base damage is slightly more accurate at range and will deal heavier critical damage.

The LMG is a light support weapon specialized for high volume fire and complements the heavier Cannon. The LMG cannot dish out the raw damage of the Cannon but is a touch more accurate and has a larger clip size.

The SAW has been added after requests for a more hefty LMG. The SAW is exactly the same as the LMG except instead of the accuracy bonus it deals an extra point of damage with the spread being 3-6 at the conventional tier for example compared to the LMG's 3-5 and the Cannon's 4-6.

As a lighter alternative to the Sniper Rifle the Marksman Rifle deals less damage and isn't as effective at extreme range but can be fired after moving though at the expense of squadsight.

And lastly the Assault Carbine benefits from increased accuracy at close to mid range compared to the Assault Rifle but at mid to long range accuracy drops off quickly.

One drawback is that the models are the same for all three tiers of weaponry so as you upgrade to magnetic weapons or beam weapons you will gain T2 and T3 versions of the weapons.

Acknowledgements

Firstly all credit for the models must go to Spart117MC. The models for this weapon pack were pilfered from his original kitbash mods. With the addition of the SAW credit for that model must go to Mr Kablamm0fish for the original port from EU.

I would also like to thank Shiremct who assisted with coding advice, feedback and testing. Secondly I borrowed the code for the snapshot ability from Richard so a thank you due there and last but not least I would also like to acknowledge bstar who also helped with testing.

Bugs

Hopefully none but let me know if there is anything. Feedback always welcome as well.

Updated to no longer remove default attachments on other weapons.

Is there any way to add more upgrade slots to these guns? I couldn't find any line referencing the slots in the config and mods that add more slots for vanilla weapons do nothing with this pacck, obviously

@MrBananaClipps Yes. I am going to update this into a big pack weapon overhaul system to use with my class pack... Other modders can add compatibility as they see fit when its done

Does anyone plan on updating this? :(

hey James, the SAW bypasses volume settings and fires at max volume. Loud as a mfer. Any way to fix that? Also, is there any way to rename the weapons? I DL'd Spart117's weapons too and the names are almost identical.

Any chance that this could be updated to work with Long War of the Chosen?

This is amazing. There was a vacuum between the psuedo-realistic aesthetic of vanilla xcom and the ultra realistic mods that this mod occupies excellently.

Late to the party, but I am noticing Tactical Legacy Pack (and even regular weapons) being overriden by these new weapons. Anyone got a fix for that?

Is there a way to change or remove the upgrade costs?

James, I love the visuals for this mod, and everything works perfectly, but I wanted to modify the mobility bonus like in Spart's Carbine ini files that allow for mobility bonus editing. Could you update this mod to allow mobility bonus editing our just post the variable or line we could use in the ini that might work or trigger that value?
