Show Me The XP

Description
"Ooh, a covert op with a promotion! I'll send-- wait, how close are you to getting promoted?"

If you've ever had that thought, or just like knowing how much experience your soldiers have, this mod is for you.

The game has a pseudo-XP system in which most soldiers rank up by killing things, but there are a LOT of things that count toward the number of kills a soldier has:
  • Kills
  • Kill assists
  • "Bonus" kills from things that increase XP gain (e.g. resistance orders)
  • "Non-tactical" kills during covert actions

This mod replaces the Kills count in the Armory soldier info, which only includes the first thing in the above list, with a XP count that includes all of them. If the soldier's class ranks up by killing things (i.e. not a Psi Operative) and the soldier isn't at max rank, it also shows the total number of kills required for the next rank.

Compatibility With Other Mods
Overrides UISoldierHeader and will conflict with any other mod that does the same.

Credits
Inspired by Accurate Soldier XP for vanilla by Erratic. No code was reused.

Thanks to Firaxis for adding the GetTotalNumKills function in WOTC so I don't have to do any math.

Any way/other mod to show xp not only on soldier screen but also on detailed soldier list, when selecting troops for missions/covert actions?

@BukaTV
But "Show Me The Personnel" is a mod for the base game, not WotC

And you can use this mod with "(WOTC) UI Mod for Defense/Mobility/Psi" very easily, that mod's page details the simple .ini change you need to make

Just use the mod "ShowMeThePersonnel" by the same author instead. Its got better results and who cares about XP its about the KILLLLZ!

This mod conflicts with another mod called "(WOTC) UI Mod for Defense/Mobility/Psi" as both use UISoldierHeader. The other mod is found here:

https://sp.zhabite.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1281427768&searchtext=%28WOTC%29+UI+Mod+for+Defense%2FMobility%2FPsi

Just FYI, the Alt mod launcher detected this conflict.

Thank you Dragon32 that did the trick. It didn't work the first time for some reason. I guess I forgot to save it, but sure enough after changing the file a second time it worked like a charm.

Some great Mod Troubleshooting advice
That recommends the excellent Alternate Mod Launcher [github.com] Everyone who uses mods should be using it
As well as AML's own wiki and FAQs, this guide gives some more detailed advice on using the Alternate Mod Launcher: Troubleshooting: Mods not working properly / at all

I'm not seeing this appear in my game. I don't seem to have any conflicts or anything. Am I missing something?

Might help some people using the Vanilla launcher,

Adding "RequiresXPACK=true" to the .XComMod file removes the incompatibility warning when running the mod with WOTC.

Which in my case "Enabled the mod" so to speak.

I found it best to add it after the Title line but before Description.
(RequiresXPACK=true does exist in the config but seems to need moving for it to work)

Example

[mod]
publishedFileId=12346789
Title=Example
RequiresXPACK=true
Description:Example

:D

Probably the 2K Launcher being rubbish. Use a good one:
