Great game, holds up well against other imsims. Really flexed my creativity, and it wasn't until I realized that I wasn't going for a pacifist run that I really opened up.

Goodness, I already feel nostalgic for the early levels.

If you're playing on Strict, enemies regen their health fairly quickly, so it's a game of "you come at the king, you best not miss." Which actually isn't THAT difficult; you can do a lot of damage with a fair bit of preparation. This ain't your pappy's wave shooter, you gotta scout out your enemies, see if they've got any supporting healers, hack the healers, isolate your prey. Lock them in a transparent room of containers. May be tempted to scratch at the walls, make them know fear, but that'll activate their onboard shields, making it that much harder. No, the prison is the FINAL step in executing these lesser beings. The moment they glanced even the slightest hint that something was wrong was the last moment of their pathetic life. They bump into the box to get around it, boom. Box blows up, rest of the walls blow up, they blow up, you blow up, you load a save and take a few steps back beforehand, they blow up, you rush in with a shotgun and cap their head clean off, then cannibalize their "corpse" for that sweet, sweet fuel.

Lesser difficulties you'll have great success chucking boxes and explosive barrels at people, no tricks, edit: on strict+, I said they'd heal up by the time you can grab a second barrel, but that's only if they detect you first. I've been having a lot more success just by planning the tosses, timing them when they look away.

I also ended with well over 200 ego stashed away, so as long as you're not "wasting" it with excessive revives, you'll not need to fret too hard over currency. All in all, this is a great game worth your time and worth your mind.

Patrick please go sit down and think about what you've done. You've taken all the good puzzle ideas and made them your own games. Save some good ideas for the rest of the community. You can't keep getting away with this!

It has accessibility settings to turn on infinite stamina, or infinite health. If you loved Dark Souls' combat, you'll like Tunic. Tunic's strengths are exploring and learning.
The parrying doesn't feel GREAT, but it's not all that important.

A solid product that offers itself up as a puzzle to solve, and doesn't try to leech your pockets dry with microtransactions or get you addicted with compulsory weekly events for bonus xp and extra cosmetics or whatever. All of the towers are useful, but few are required and none completely overshadow another.
Example: you've got a Missile Launcher and an Eruptor, both of which do targeted AoE damage, which you'd think is just "wow they're exactly the same tower." The Missile Launcher gets bonuses for attacking the same target twice, while the Eruptor is focused on hitting hard and gets a bonus attack with infinite range.

Dev's also a cool dude.

"Bounty hunters can use their rapid fire shots to heat up gold bricks."
This pack has the Warcrime Trooper with 40 liters of napalm and malice.
Surprisingly, it actually works on gold bricks. Internal consistency makes every game better.

I was never expecting someone to put my unironic views on the words "manifesto" and "treatise" into such relatable words.

Not as challenging as Baba Is You's Expansion, which is good. Each of the worlds introduces a mechanic and sticks to that theme, serving as a tutorial and test for all the intricate ways that the mechanic has. By the time you reach the next world, you'll have already mastered what came before, so when they appear in the next world's puzzles, they don't distract much from that world's main mechanic.
Maybe like two out of 240 puzzles are implementation heavy. Y'know, in other puzzle games where you see the solution, you know the solution, but it still takes like fifty steps to actually do? This game doesn't do that, which is great.

Your mind will be blown like, once or twice per world, in such a way that the game presents as perfectly normal. Reminds me of SCP-2719.
