By far one of the best tools (if not THE best tool) when it comes to learning hiragana and katakana. The structure for learning character groups is paced very well. You get introduced to one batch of characters, learn each one, test your reading and then a timed test where you have to write them out. This is easily the best feature as it puts you under pressure and (in my case) pushes you to do better if you don't get 100% the first time.
One more thing to mention is that once you're done with a batch of characters, they will appear later on. Making you practice them as well as the new ones you're learning.

Also really great to come back to if you need a refresh.

I like that there's a game to play while you listen to the soundtrack.

Persona 3 Reload is the first ATLUS game I've played, and it made me get the whole series (on steam).
(In my case) A fresh take on the JRPG style with some new mechanics, while also keeping it familiar to other JRPGs I've played. The schedule system is totally new to me and I was somewhat confused as to what I should do and when I should do it. Thankfully, you can see what percentage of people did what at that given time so you get a better idea of what to do.

The combat in P3R, and other Persona games, is really good. You get different personas which provide you different stats (in terms of Strength, Agility and so on) as well as give you different weaknesses, kind of like Pokemon. You can also spend time with different people with different personalities/bonds which strengthen that type of persona. I find this to be such a great mechanic as it makes me conscious as to how I spend my time, and with who.

However there is one thing I don't really like which is the downtime between events. This is the only time I find myself fast-forwarding through dialogue and sometimes skipping them altogether. Other than that, I really enjoy the ENG voice-acting, especially as the main character is voiced by Aleks Le.

As stated in the beginning, the soundtrack is absolutely amazing. The game is set in early 2000s, and the soundtrack reflects this really well. A mix of 2000s jazz, rap, metal and electronic music which is incorporated into almost each and every track. For someone who studies music this really inspiring and provides a breath of fresh air sonically.

Probably the best gateway-game into ATLUS games. Metaphor: ReFantazio takes some of the best/better elements from Shin Megami Tensei and Persona and puts them into this fantasy setting and they do it so well. Stylish and distinct characters, great turn based combat, and in Metaphor's case, a more digestible schedule system.

Keep in mind that ATLUS has kind of their own style of JRPGs, so it will be different to what most people put into the term.

The only thing that I'm not that big of a fan of is the ENG voice acting. I do appreciate everyone's work, I just think the UK accents are a bit too over-done. Soundtrack isn't my favorite either, but it isn't bad.

If you've been wanting to try a Persona game, or anything Persona/SMT-like, Metaphor is probably your best starting point.

At the time of writing I barely have any hours as I originally played it on PS5.
FF7 Rebirth is such a great upgrade form what the remake was.

Pretty cool game and will likely be a nice tool for more interactive language learning. I cannot speak on how accurate the languages are as I am a beginner in most of them, but I've seen some discussions about some words not being perfect in some languages (like German).
Other than that, very stylish and cozy game as well. Will definitely include in my language learning routine!

There is one thing I would really like to see and that is sentence breakdowns. NPCs talk to you, but as a complete beginner in Japanese and Korean I find the sentences to be blurry and its difficult to separate words sometimes. It will of course get better with time as I learn the languages but I feel it's worth mentioning.

The recent update probably fixed a big issue I had previously, so now the game runs a lot better on my end. Still, I am running it on low-medium, but overall stability and performance is better. (though I miss when I could play on med-high).

I wasn't expecting much when I bought this. It was mostly to try then refund but this game is actually really fun. A great fps dungeon crawler with some decent rpg elements. However there are some bugs, I've encountered two so far with one requiring me to restart the game which was unfortunate and one where I didn't get any form of UI from an interaction. These will hopefully and likely be fixed over time as it is in Early Access.
The game play loop is entertaining, as long as you don't die. I would only hope for some very slight balancing fixes, I find there to be some guns to feel just a tiny bit under-powered, and some drop-rates could be improved but not my much at all.
Looking at the roadmap, multiplayer would be really fun, but the stages would need to be scaled up a bit as it might feel too tight in some rooms.
