Doesn't show up in the game for me either, even with the mod enabled in the mod menu. Unsubscribed. Mods that display as incompatible don't work in my games even though the author claims they will. I have 50+ mods with the correct version that work great.

Make sure you do not have any other galactic texture mods active.
At the beginning of the game, the map shows "fog of war". You only see the colored map after you explore it. If you want to see the full color map at the beginning of the game use other EG * mods from ButtJunkie as EG * - Colors of the Galaxy restored .

Yes, other texture mods may overwrite this one (or this others). It's fine being subscribed to multiple texture mods, but only one will appear in-game.

Hey man, I had trouble using your "Galaxy Texture" mods becuase they didn't change anything so I deactivate all of my mods and reactivate them 1by1 and I found the problem for it not changing the textures. "!! K !! - Realistic Galaxy Map" As soon as I activate the mod your textures did not apply anymore. I just wanted to let you know that, in case someone got the same problem.

I tried it with only this mod activated, and did the same for the other mod you asked about. No idea, but I'm not fussed about achievements, so if it works for you and not me I'm not bothered ;)

Maybe it's another one of your mods. I'm subscribed to this mod and your other mod that dims galaxy center and I just got achievement for getting a gift from a fallen empire.

Yep, as I pointed out in the other post, it seems 2.0 has changed it so textures disable achievements, which is bizarre.

Does this affect achievements?

@Neon - the fog of war refers to how they map is greyed out by default now (Paradox changed it a little while back).

I have another mod listed called 'Galaxy Colours Restored', so the galaxy again appears in colour.

Whats this "fog of war" thing? My map is just default :(

I like the mod! Though maybe in the mod-description you need to mention that the fog-of-war (as seen in the empire map-mode) blocks the texture. When other map-modes are selected it works correctly.

You just need to select it in the mod menu on game startup, and make sure you have no other galaxy textures selected.

One of my favorites. Thanks for keeping up with the updates.

That's the fog of war in effect. If you select one of the map modes from the beginning of the game you can see the entire galaxy with only your empire on it. Fog of war can be modded out, but practically is well-used to keep track of territory that has been explored. Maybe fog of war doesn't need to desaturate the rest of the map, just be darker?

Can i make it visible from the begin of a new game? At the start everythings is greyed out, and after all, the colors of the empires make it unable to see the galaxy.
