I'd like to replace the combine sounds with the Half Life 1 pain sounds but if I bring it in as is there won't be the sound filter that the other lines have and so they'd stick out.
I've been looking all over for a mod like that!
Few criticisms I will give is that I am not a fan of their death sound being reused Combine from HL2 and the constant walkie talkie sound being oddly similar to 911 operator I find it a bit distracting.
I think it's a bit fair to mention that the captions do not match their lines but that may seem like too much, no judge there.
And that's about it, overall your work is wonderful!
I just replaced all of the pain and death line soundfiles with their counterparts from HL1, worked pretty well.
If you own HL1 you can access the appropriate sound files in steamapps>common>half life>valve>sound>hgrunt
1.0 probably
I haven't checked, I just wrote as a precaution since 1.0 released a while back and this may have broken. If not ignore this.
