I know this mod has been around for awhile and I've used it before. Since I built my new system steam workshop has effed all my mods. Is there any chance at all of you posting this and the improved customization mods somewhere for a manual download? TY
XL-WaTeRbUfFaLo 18 Sep, 2022 @ 12:18pm
there are definitely some vanilla beliefs missing, such as "God of The Open Sky" which gives +1 culture to pastures. I don't have it in game as an option and I don't see it in the images either. I'd love see this updated to include options for culture and faith from tile improvements like pastures, mines, quarries, and plantations.
brometheus 24 Apr, 2022 @ 10:58pm
this removes Earth Mother from the pantheons, such a shame...I know you say this mod leaves the vanilla beliefs, but I can't seem to find it (and it hasn't been selected before)
Poop King 16 Apr, 2022 @ 6:08pm
But where is the 'pious aristocrity' belief thats shown in one of the screenshots?
Tatanka 12 Oct, 2021 @ 6:43am
sweet im tired of taking the same setup over and over :P

I love that you're still active on Steam and haven't just abandoned this mod.
BlouBlou  [author] 22 Oct, 2019 @ 5:45pm
@Valiullin

As said in the mod description, it doesnt remove original belief at all :

-Add approx. 90 beliefs, These beliefs are mostly an expand from existing beliefs for a wider choice for all beliefs type. (check screenshot)

-All vanilla belief were renamed for grouping purpose and to blend with the added beliefs. Now when you browse them while creating a religion, you have a more organised view.

Valiullin 17 Oct, 2019 @ 3:09pm
I would love it if only it didn't remove the original beliefs. Too bad.

@Plutia

Thanks to you, you really grasped the intention behind the mod. The situation you described is exactly what this mod is made for, more choices in response to bad situation (like an unwanted starting location).

Instead of restarting your game for a better spot, you played along.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a positive comment, im really glad you enjoyed!

This is the best! I played as Vietnam and got spawned in a jungle. I think to myself "will this mod work? will i get a lot of culture?" Time passed and at the end of my game, my religion ruled over the world and i had +1000 culture per turn. Thank you great creator :higu_mion:
Axelroid Burners 12 Jan, 2019 @ 7:19pm
Is there a version that does not modify the original beliefs ?
nicovallejos 11 Nov, 2018 @ 6:35am
Adding more of the beliefs in the Religion section takes inspiriation from this mod.

While doing that, I'm afraid I have to be careful what I have added but I'm not sure what could the limitations can be have in Civ V's engine...

@BlouBlou You've done considerable work on Civ 5. Just downloaded several of your mods.:steamhappy:
Wyldwayfarer 3 Oct, 2016 @ 8:43am
@BlouBlou Ah I see; these pantheons cannot be removed since they're based around the base game pantheon.
Thankyou. I'll just have to rush a pantheon and grab them first :P
BlouBlou  [author] 22 Sep, 2016 @ 10:12pm
@Wyldwayfarer

Hi glad you like the mod, but pantheon that give faith from terrain are present in the vanilla , unmodded game.

Desert Folklore +1 Faith from Desert Tiles is in the base game for example.
Wyldwayfarer 17 Sep, 2016 @ 2:45pm
Love the mod, but how would I go about removing the pantheons that give faith for terrain?
I find them too OP.
BlouBlou  [author] 26 Aug, 2016 @ 6:34pm
@markvitank

You are right, thats why i was able to add 90 new ones. This is kinda intended for 2 reasons.

1) The number of pre built function and attribute that you can modify in the belief system when you mod is unfortunatly very limited.

2) To keep the vanilla balance of the beleief system, i chose to extend existing beliefs and multiply them by covering all ressource type.

Thanks for your comment and im glad you like the mod =)
Markvitank 25 Aug, 2016 @ 8:49pm
Great mod, the new beiefs are a little repetative though.
Sharky 17 Aug, 2016 @ 4:46pm
Can religions be enhanced more than once now?
BlouBlou  [author] 8 Jul, 2016 @ 6:43pm
@Drazule

Thats another game parameter and this mod dont affect it. It is not based on the number of belief but on the size of the map.

There are other mods out there that increase the number of available religion per map size that you can combine with this one if you want.
SabyZ 7 Jul, 2016 @ 12:04pm
So here's a question: Will the game allow for more religions to be founded because there are now enough beliefs to support more than 8 religions?
BlouBlou  [author] 29 Mar, 2016 @ 1:15pm
@Djes-dude

Next step was to try the Troubleshooting section written in the mod description but you saved some time, since you got one of the rarest problem.

In rare cases you would have to Veify the integrity of your game file in the steam library. Reinstalling has the same effect but is more drastic.

Im glad it works now and im flattered that you went through a full reinstallation just to get this mod to work :)

Good day!
Lys 29 Mar, 2016 @ 1:15am
huh...turns out that reinstaling the game worked...
Lys 29 Mar, 2016 @ 12:56am
nope still does not work, the weird thing is that it has worked. the only thing I can think of that has changed is the latest update. I will reinstal the game and try in one more time thow.
BlouBlou  [author] 28 Mar, 2016 @ 9:36pm
@Djes-dude

1) Test a fresh, single player, new game with only this mod enabled
2) Make sure you start your game from the Mod menu and NOT from the single player menu
Lys 28 Mar, 2016 @ 3:32pm
This mod no longer works for me or my friends for some reason...it shows up on the list and we check it but nothing changes ingame. :(
BlouBlou  [author] 23 Mar, 2016 @ 8:08pm
@Echnaton

Yes this cache problem isnt related to specific mods and can happen to any file on steamworkshop vs civ5. Now you have a fix :)

Glad it worked!
Echnaton 23 Mar, 2016 @ 5:27pm
Because of this some old mods loaded too, I thought they weren't working anymore or I deleted them. Very nice!
Echnaton 23 Mar, 2016 @ 1:29pm
That's a word! Thanks.
BlouBlou  [author] 23 Mar, 2016 @ 1:27pm
@Echnaton

cool! hope it fixes it for you! its frustrating that this civ 5 mods steam problem is still there after all theses years
Echnaton 23 Mar, 2016 @ 1:25pm
Yeah, thought about it too. In windows 7 it's just C:\Users\Username\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5, that was a little bit confusing.
BlouBlou  [author] 23 Mar, 2016 @ 1:23pm
@Echnaton

:) what do you mean you failed?

this directory may change depending on your windows version, this step means, find the civ 5 mod folder, in My documents
Echnaton 23 Mar, 2016 @ 1:14pm
Tried it but I already failed at finding "Documents and Settings" :D
BlouBlou  [author] 23 Mar, 2016 @ 1:13pm
@Echnaton

as said in mod description, its a common cache problem, follow the steps written in the troubleshooting section to fix it.
Echnaton 23 Mar, 2016 @ 1:11pm
Since the update the mod isn't listed in the mod list anymore. I already reainstalled it multiple times.
BlouBlou  [author] 16 Mar, 2016 @ 8:29pm
@Ultimatejim

Glad to hear you found a workaround! It was indeed lucky :)
KingLemonVT/TTV 16 Mar, 2016 @ 6:55pm
Well, I fiddled with it and realized that when it updated, it didn't register the update, so I uninstalled the mod, left civs, reinstalled the mod, re-opened civs and loaded my saved game, which led to crashing. I figured it was because the differing versions ruined my save game, but then I loaded a save from before the update and it ended up working and I was able to continue. The game glitched the first time after the update and saving it while glitched caused it to crash, but simply reloading a save pre-glitch/pre-update ended up allowing me to continue playing. It wasn't a total failure on my part, but thankfully there were no other changes aside from a bug fix, otherwise I doubt it would have continued working properly.
BlouBlou  [author] 15 Mar, 2016 @ 9:19pm
@Ultimatejim

This is a common mistake while using mods. You must always finish your game before updating them because most of the time your savegame will be bound to the versions it was started with, compatible or not, it will require this version.

Unfortunatly, unless you had a copy of the previous mod, you will be forced to start a new game.

Sorry for the trouble, i also learned the hard way myself back in the days that i started using mods. There should be a warning message when you click the Update button in the Mod menu.
KingLemonVT/TTV 15 Mar, 2016 @ 8:34pm
Since the update, no beliefs are listed in my saved game. Is the update not save game compatible, even if it's just a bug fix?
If it's not, how can I revert my version to make it compatible so I can finish my game before updating again?
BlouBlou  [author] 12 Mar, 2016 @ 9:13pm
UPDATE V.26

- Fixed a bug where 'Aluminum' was excluded from the Blessed Minings beliefs
DroppedmM 21 Feb, 2016 @ 1:27pm
Nevermind i am dumb and just now realized i didnt have a specialist on that tile. That fixed it :)
DroppedmM 21 Feb, 2016 @ 1:25pm
For whatever reason, when i use some of the added pantheons in this pack (the offering: [Resource] ones) they show up, but dont give any bonuses. would be awesome if you could tell my what i did wrong, or if you could tell me what to do for it to work.
Thanks
Dr. Oz The Great And Powerful 18 Feb, 2016 @ 6:04pm
Can I get around this by downloading directly?
BlouBlou  [author] 18 Feb, 2016 @ 1:32pm
@[TFM] bh5496

All mods block steam acheivement. Acheivements are disabled in modded games.
Dr. Oz The Great And Powerful 18 Feb, 2016 @ 11:00am
Can anyone tell me if this mod blocks steam achievements?
Regnorock 23 Jan, 2016 @ 12:15pm
...ar and I want to know when founding a religion will cause my games to come to a standstill
Regnorock 23 Jan, 2016 @ 12:14pm
As I have recently added this mod to my massive 43 player hotseat games and with a more active religions mod, is it possible to have this mod not replace all of the founder and reformation beliefs so that more religions can be founded? I have been enjoying it thus f
