@pjc1975 Yes they should be compatible with any release so far. Cant personally test them because i don't have the Sunset Harbor.

The assets don't use any external code.
Peter 8 Apr, 2020 @ 1:30am
are these assets you made up to date with the newest dlc that was just recently released?
ActionJaxon2015 27 Mar, 2020 @ 9:21am
I have noticed for awhile that the utility assets (both water and sewage assets) ,ax out at half of what they're rated for. Is there a solution to this problem?
ActionJaxon2015 30 Sep, 2019 @ 9:00am
I have noticed an issue with this asset where it only treats around half or two thirds less than what it is rated for. I have noticed this issue long before ParkLife update. However, I will say that even with this issue, the asset still does work in after ParkLife, Industries, and even in the University update.
MarkJohnson 3 Oct, 2018 @ 4:47pm
I played around a little and the asset seems to have too high of capacity. I'm not sure what the limit is, but I made it have more capacity and had the exact same issue. I lowered capacity by about a two-third and all is well.

But it just seems overload. I tested with base game with no DLC nor workshop with the same results.
MarkJohnson 2 Oct, 2018 @ 11:26pm
@bullettMAGNETT

I would think the behavior of the Parklife patch would affect the game either with it or without it. I mean, every DLC is all included in the game, you just have to pay to unlock it. Plus you get free game mechanics with it. I'l assume the AI patches would be part of the base game now.

Nothing Parklife is activated.

I never tested pre-parklife. I was assisting Mr. Critter with his game.

It acts like the game is capping it maybe? or the game is scaling it.

Have you tried lower it's capacity to see if it is fine at a lower capacity? Hopefully it's that easy to fix anyway. lol
Mr Critterfur 2 Oct, 2018 @ 9:53pm
I know my issues were pre park life.
Spectra  [author] 2 Oct, 2018 @ 9:38pm
@Mr Critterfur : the issue keeps coming back lol still trying to figure it out >_<

@-DI- rmjohnson144 : Hey guys, i dont have parklife so i cant test it with that. Was the building working fine before parklife?
Mr Critterfur 2 Oct, 2018 @ 9:11pm
I'm still running into the issue where the far corners of my city aren't draining sewage, despite my city claiming it has the capacity for 200% more sewage than I make.
MarkJohnson 2 Oct, 2018 @ 4:48pm
This assedt seems to be only providing about half the output is say. I need 4,080,000 sewage draining capacity or I have trouble with only two. I'm at about ~1,800,000 sewage production.

Maybe Parklife changed something. Plz fix at your convenience.

@bullettMAGNET In other news, if you want to colab on any mods let me know. I've been getting into this modding. It feels a bit constraining though. When I was a teenager with free time to make game mods I was making mods for games like Diablo II and Baldur's Gate. Back then there weren't modding tools one had to hack the game and reprogram stuff, it was a totally different process. I'm trying to teach myself this newfangled 3D Studio Max software so I can make custom structures for this game too.
monsterhart 31 Aug, 2018 @ 2:59pm
@bullettMAGNET Ooo... Integrated. Makes it a little trickier but still doable. First you need to buy a new motherboard, the Dell Studio 1749 will fit in your case. Then upgrade your processor to an i5 (Intel Core i5-540M 2.53GHz/3M will work for sure), upgrade to 8GB DDR3 RAM, and add a SSD for your main OS drive and an HDD for storage (or two ssd if you don't use much space) and your comp will be decent. Actually that might run hotter than it was prepared for so you'll need some new heat sinks too, GPU Heatsink G406T, CPU Heatsink D636T, and some thermal pads to bridge the connection. I'm sure you can find these things on Amazon. The official service guide is sufficient to get you through the process if you read it thoroughly: https://downloads.dell.com/manuals/all-products/esuprt_laptop/esuprt_studio_laptop/studio-1745_service%20manual_en-us.pdf
Spectra  [author] 30 Aug, 2018 @ 9:10pm
@monsterhart lol Believe me, not this old dinosaur... dell studio 1745 :P
monsterhart 30 Aug, 2018 @ 3:20pm
@bullettMAGNET laptops are upgradeable :) Tell me the model and I can send you a link for which vc to buy and a guide on how to replace it.
Spectra  [author] 28 Aug, 2018 @ 8:07pm
@monsterhart No prob mate, for sure i'll let you know when i release the thing. Yeah the prob is my 9 yould potato is a laptop so... in laptop years thats like having a 18 year old desktop :P

I wish laptops were actually upgradable T_T
monsterhart 28 Aug, 2018 @ 3:32pm
@bulletMAGNETT Thanks for considering it and being chill! That sucks about the comp. My 2008 Mac Pro still runs the newest games 😛 I did have to upgrade the video card a couple years ago to a 2013 one though. It costed $150 or so. I’ve increased the RAM a few times too but that’s not too expensive (26GB now costed $100 or so in total). The GTX 780 I got is probably a lot cheaper now too, you could probably upgrade one of your comps to it and that should run the game.
Spectra  [author] 24 Aug, 2018 @ 7:41pm
@monsterhart Yeah, at the time i wanted to make the building be a river building, but i don't think it would be much of a problem making an alternate version to be placed into terrain.

ATM i don't have a computer capbable of running almost any game, just very old ones like 2012 and older...10 yold potato >_<

Will take that into my notes for future consideration tough ^_^

thanks for the feedback :)
monsterhart 24 Aug, 2018 @ 12:12pm
Aww requires river? I thought it would evaporate the sewage into thin air from the title. You could make it do that if you wanted. Quad has a couple mods that destroy sewage into thin air and act like a water tower to output the clean water back (Quad's Water Purifier, and Quad's Sanctuary which is also an entertainment building). So you could take one of those (the first might be easier unless you want it to have park stats too) and replace the model with yours, 0 out the water production, and adjust the other stats to reflect the original.
Mr Critterfur 9 Dec, 2017 @ 4:08pm
Ok :D Thank you for your patience. I know I'm being annoying.
Spectra  [author] 9 Dec, 2017 @ 4:07pm
Click on the purple button on the description that says support :)
Mr Critterfur 9 Dec, 2017 @ 3:59pm
Ok. One last stupid question. Where is that/How do I get there?
Spectra  [author] 9 Dec, 2017 @ 3:56pm
head over to the discord channel it'll be easier to help there.
Mr Critterfur 9 Dec, 2017 @ 3:46pm
Sorry, I'm super new to the game and steam in general.
Mr Critterfur 9 Dec, 2017 @ 3:46pm
How do I do that?

I have tried placing more evaporators, and laying more pipes to make drainage more rapid and efficient, so there;s not a back up somewhere, and I have even tried placing more pumps thinking maybe my drainage is outpacing my pumping, I still get a back up in the far corners of my city.

But how do I share a map? Also, I reverted back to an old save after testing. I would have to rebuild the system to recrete it I think.
Spectra  [author] 9 Dec, 2017 @ 3:09pm
send me some pictures mate or share your map file or something
Mr Critterfur 9 Dec, 2017 @ 3:01pm
I now have two. And I'm still getting sewage backing up. I give up. Sorry for being annoying.
Spectra  [author] 9 Dec, 2017 @ 2:59pm
@MrCritterfur yes they do take sometimes a bit longer, that seems to happen with many buildings that are not vanillay. My assets dont mess with code so there is absolutely no reason for stuff at code level to break. Should share some pictures about the problem. The i sceenshot i linked you is a city map i downloaded and replaced their sewage by the Spectra Evaporator, placed 2 and that satisfied the needs of the whole 220,000k population on that map. And changes usually take a couple of game days to propagate in general.
Mr Critterfur 9 Dec, 2017 @ 2:53pm
I'm still getting sewage backed up in my city though. Maybe it's because I have mine placed on the furthest side of the city? Because the sewage issue is on the opposite side.
Mr Critterfur 9 Dec, 2017 @ 2:49pm
Ok, I think I figured it out. I think they take an exceptionally long time to power on :D

Sorry for being so annoying.
Mr Critterfur 9 Dec, 2017 @ 2:44pm
Maybe it just takes a really long time to power on? I don't know. It seems like they just don't kick on right away once you get everything connected right.
Mr Critterfur 9 Dec, 2017 @ 2:41pm
Ugh, now it's working. I don't know why, but last night it would not work unless I connected it with a water pipe and not a heat pipe.
Mr Critterfur 9 Dec, 2017 @ 2:31pm
When I placed it, it did not run until I swapped out the heat pipes with regular pipes, and it did not drain sewage. So something must be wrong with my game.

And it didn't even cause a flood.
Spectra  [author] 9 Dec, 2017 @ 11:39am
@Mr Critterfur ; The Spectral Evaporator [Meta] is working fine in game, it is compatible with heatpipes and any other kind of pipe( there is actually no reason for it to be incompatible) It outputs 0 Pollued water but the output is massive, enough to cause a flood if places incorrectly near a shore.

So in other words,

-The assets is working fine.
-The OUTPUT is MASSIVE, around 18m3 of water/s or 17.6 tons of water/s
-So be adviced of a temporary flood if placed incorrectly near a shore.
-100% clean water.

Here is a screeshot.

Good luck and happy gaming!!
Spectra  [author] 9 Dec, 2017 @ 10:34am
@MrCritterfur hi i really dont know what is causing a problem, i will check the asset and retest it in game and let you know. In theory the building should be working fine. we'll see :P
Mr Critterfur 9 Dec, 2017 @ 2:43am
Wait, this doesn't fix sewage? Because I placed it, and now I get nothing but sewage all over my city.
Mr Critterfur 9 Dec, 2017 @ 2:40am
Nevermind, I figured it out. It's not compatible with the Snowfall DLC. So if you use heat pipes, it won't work. You have to make a water only pipe to this device.
Mr Critterfur 9 Dec, 2017 @ 2:38am
I can't seem to make this work. I place it on water, give it power, connect it to the pipes, and it just won't turn on.

Am I missing something? I'd like to be able to convert to this from what I'm using now, because I have a whole section of my city dedicated to sewage, and need something beefier.
Droidhacker 13 Nov, 2016 @ 3:05pm
I'll take one next time I hop on, I am at the limit of what I can do on my pc as I am up to 400k cims, I will be getting a new pc and hopefully takin the bad boy up to a million
Spectra  [author] 12 Nov, 2016 @ 7:31pm
@Droidhacker that sounds super, send me pic when you finish it :D
Droidhacker 12 Nov, 2016 @ 6:06pm
No problem, your spectra assets are literally the only ones I use, I am using the spectra sewage things to fill up reservoirs in my futuristic city. On a map that was a bone dry desert I flooded some valleys with dams and the spectra filters to build a canal city on mesas 300+ feet (100 meters in game) above the desert floor, I even have a beach! "This day at the beach is brought to you by Spectra Industries" haha
Spectra  [author] 11 Nov, 2016 @ 1:41pm
@Droidhacker hey man, yes the other day i tested this asset on different maps and indeed there is a problem witht the building, it appears to float when not leveling correctly when not making it flatten the terrain. I will fix it :) thanks for letting me know! :D
Droidhacker 11 Nov, 2016 @ 11:53am
A problem with this is that it levels the land under the main building making it look really wonky when placed on a coastline. Other than that it looks really really cool. I hope you fix it because I LOVE your other assets!
Jrlc66 2 Nov, 2016 @ 7:56pm
thank nice upgrade :steamhappy: :steamhappy:
mhin_1716 31 Oct, 2016 @ 2:55pm
Welcome back i love your creations! I will download this one as well Thanks:steamhappy:
Spectra  [author] 29 Oct, 2016 @ 9:14pm
@BrowncoatTrekky, its a water cleaning building :) not a power plant :P . So it drops lots of water into the stream :D and thank you for the welcome :D.
BrowncoatTrekky 28 Oct, 2016 @ 9:51pm
Welcome back to the community. You have been missed. Unsure based on description, but does your asset operate like this one?
Spectra  [author] 28 Oct, 2016 @ 7:18pm
yeah, havent had much time to finish stuff i left in the oven.
RED /(Weber)\ 28 Oct, 2016 @ 6:00pm
It's been so long since you made stuff!
