I just had 5 planes nose dive into the station and then take off of the interstate that runs along it.

Would be a very low-noise freight airport, but alas, no trucks come to get the cargo. Only from train to plane and vise-versa.

Or use the mod to adjust where vehicles come out and move cargo trains to the correct line.

I will use one-way tracks for control in the interim. Was able to move the spawn points so no longer beside the station, but can't get trains to stay in their lane coming in to unload.
It is still a great looking asset. If anyone irons out the bi-directional use, pls keep us posted.

Great asset. Paid attention to detail on truck spawning and despawning. See few conflicts compared to other Cargo Depots.
Yes the Cargo Train spawn/despawn point needs to be shifted right to be centred on building, not centred on the truck spawn points. Oh well.
Yes the tracks need to be extended to the right just past the building.
Yes the building size needs to be bigger, from 14x5 to 18x5 or 20x5. I cannot tell. The Editor would not let me increase it past 16. Oh well.

I still love the asset. If anyone can hint at how to increase its designated footprint size, that would be great.

Yes, it is too short. But if you use it either with one-way tracks, or with the double-track connected to only one side, you can side-step the pile-ups.

love the look of this, however, it seems to be too short. i fond issues with trains thata re one car monger than the station, and causes pile ups...

If you place a second track near to this Station many Trains will stop and unload there. Can you fix that?

Fiorella's Jack Stack Barbecue literally has the best damn steaks I have ever had. It's a restaurant in the old Freighthouse. If anyone were to ever visit Kansas City, check out the old Freighthouse/Union Station area, aka the Crossroads District. And try Florella's.

The track is shorter than a full train, thus the station can cause a lock-up if one train is at the station and trying to switch tracks to leave simultaneously with another train attempting to arrive.

Works nicely, aside from a minor problem that it loads/unloads cargo at the track next to the station - which is acceptable and realistic I guess.

Doesn't work for me - no freight trains arrive at the station. Put in place a vanilla cargo station and all works well :( Too bad because I like the looks of this building

It doesn't function well. The cargo trains always stop at the rail for the passing train next to the one belonging to the freight house. It may cause congestion.

Looks very nice, but doesn't work for me. Don't have any industry, only want to use it to import goods, but no trains arrive at the station. Built a vanila station further down the track and that one works just fine.

I'm experiencing issues with this lovely station - industries complain about not getting raw materials despite being close to the station. I second the oddity described below but it seems also that this station doesnt recieve any trains, there are only outgoing trains for me.

something strange is going on, it acts like a double track cargo, i have a track going next tp the cargo for passing cargo trains, but they use that one to unload?

i'm not complaining but i just wanted to let you know.

I really like the freighthouse, but there seems to be a garbage problem with it (or at least, that is what i experience). Anyone else experiencing this?

Could you make bartle hall? Would be a neat overpass/interchange ploppable to use. Liberty Memorial and Union Station respectively would be amazing too.

I can give it a go. This asset was a number of 'firsts' for me, both being my first subbuilding enabled asset, and my first to involve transport lines. I'll look at it and see what improvements can be made.

@Lightfooted - first i want to thank you for the work. It is really a great station that you've created. But I have a few issues with it.

The cargo path seems way to long and to close to each other, as the vehicles "crash" into each other

Additional if you have place a road on the back, Trucks will use the cargo station as a shorter way to the other side. Thefore the trucks pass over the train tracks. https://postimg.org/image/5thc61k0l/

As the cargo station is so small longer trucks are visible on the track side.

I don't know if shorten the cargo path with the "move it" mod will solve these optical issues.

@Capnbludd. All fixed! I removed the pedestrian entrance and the switch for good measure. You may need to buldoze and replace it for the change to take effect. As a bonus, empty trucks will no longer spawn at the subbuilding; looks a bit more realistic now.

@Capnbludd. You know what, I'm thinking this might have to do with the pedestrian entrance on the subbuilding. I say this because it was working in earlier versions with that track, but when I added the entrance there, empty trucks will use it as an exit, and maybe it's confusing the cargo AI. I'll experiment a bit with it, and post an update when I get it working again. Thanks for the feedback!

I've noticed a problem. I think the switch in the middle of the asset is preventing trains from spawning. I replaced a stub end terminal with the freighthouse and trains would arrive and then despawn. I replaced the FH with another asset with no switch in it and spawning returned to normal.
