In Nexus there's a mod that called "Dual Sheath Redux" that lets one place his staff on the back but it requires other mods to make it work. Another more simple mod that lets you do that is "Fighting Mage Staff" also on Nexus it also lets you use your staff as a melee weapon (at least the garden variety doesnt work on some special staves) by using in your left hand it shoots magic as normal but if same staff is place in your right hand it becomes a two handed weapon that you can melee/block with.

how do i hold the staff behind me and all
Rand0mNumbers  [auteur] 10 sep 2014 om 22:28
It's in that cellar area past the gauntlet and goat (second level of the midden). There have been issues with the NPCs spawning, so if they don't show up try the uninstall-cleansave-reinstall method.
Some Guy 10 sep 2014 om 15:35
cant find it in midden dark
Some Guy 10 sep 2014 om 14:35
where is it
Rand0mNumbers  [auteur] 23 jun 2014 om 12:40
It's a drop. Check the area. There have been issues of items falling through the world in general, so you may need to use the console to get them if they aren't around anymore.

Molag Bal 24 mrt 2014 om 13:43

Molag Bal 23 mrt 2014 om 16:20

Dynamo of Volition 11 apr 2013 om 21:11
Hey, is it possible that you could maybe make a Parthalan unenchanted armor mod??? I think that would be really cool...
Jwblaze 8 apr 2013 om 17:18
i will hit someone with a stick
Dynamo of Volition 4 apr 2013 om 15:09
Nice touch anyway!
Rand0mNumbers  [auteur] 3 apr 2013 om 19:56
Nope, not in DA2. Just something I added because I thought it'd be funny.
Dynamo of Volition 3 apr 2013 om 18:56
I knew that... Sort of... Ahem, well, I still ove this mod. Oh and I found out what the lightning does to a dead creature ;) lol was that featured in DA2?
Rand0mNumbers  [auteur] 3 apr 2013 om 15:59
I was joking around. Skyrim doesn't support merging melee with a staff and I don't know how to make it work like in DA2.
Dynamo of Volition 3 apr 2013 om 14:58
Lol cool. And I'm not saying beat ppl with a stick, I am saying- ugh... nevermind.
Rand0mNumbers  [auteur] 2 apr 2013 om 20:57
Skyrim does not support using staves as melee weapons. If you use it to beat on something, it is a blade of some sort or a hammer. If it is a stick, it shoots magic. Because who in their right mind would hit someone with a stick?

For the lightning: maybe.
Dynamo of Volition 2 apr 2013 om 17:36
Oh, and above in the description, it says you can stomp ppl's faces in and impale them, that only works for sword, huh? :/
Dynamo of Volition 2 apr 2013 om 17:31
Sorry, lol, I reread the description and it says you can't craft. Sry for the misunderstanding, I also reread my previous comment and see how that might have been confusing. I have 2 questions. Uno, could you maybe make the lightning a bit more powerful? And second, do you think you could somehow make the staff and the sword all in one, so you coul use both in the same weapon, one handed of course. :P
Rand0mNumbers  [auteur] 1 apr 2013 om 17:08
So, add a crafting recipe for the staff?
Dynamo of Volition 1 apr 2013 om 16:31
So, you csn just make the staff if you so choose, and not the sword?
LostViking228 27 mrt 2013 om 12:50
I think the lightning in the trailer was just a lighting spell.. but when you use it in the game it's only fire.
Rand0mNumbers  [auteur] 26 mrt 2013 om 13:54
It's both in the trailer. I just picked one, but I'll keep that in mind.
LostViking228 26 mrt 2013 om 12:46
This is truley amazing but the staff isn't right.. It's not lightning it's fire.. if you could ya know.. fix that.. would be more amazing.
Rand0mNumbers  [auteur] 31 jan 2013 om 13:46
Aye. This version isn't updated anymore. I've fixed a few issues in the weapons pack that includes the Staff.
Danilee 31 jan 2013 om 5:26
I just got them but the sword version is a battle axe.
Rand0mNumbers  [auteur] 30 jan 2013 om 19:25
I have no idea. This has no .ini settings. If there are some, I didn't put them there. Could be another mod.
AuntySocialQueen 30 jan 2013 om 11:53
Why does it say 'Initializing ini settings' evey time I load a save?
Danilee 8 jan 2013 om 1:41
I'd really like to have it on my back. This mod puts vanilla staffs on the back. Maybe it could help you. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/17746
Rand0mNumbers  [auteur] 23 dec 2012 om 14:24
Location is in the description. "The Midden Dark (coc winterholdcollegemidden02)" Both the staff and the sword are placed there (unless another npc absconded wih them).
DragonStar93 23 dec 2012 om 13:13
anyone mind tell me where the staff is?
Trollzy 5 sep 2012 om 15:32
"Make more powerful but not overpowered version and u get five star and fave :D" I AGREE!!! :D
Doge Vandire 4 aug 2012 om 13:57
Make more powerful but not overpowered version and u get five star and fave :D
Potato 14 jul 2012 om 15:44
Nice mod. Personally would have made it a little stronger than steel-level as if you want to use it for the appearance, it gets way too weak later in the game. Nice quality though.
maxos 28 jun 2012 om 6:17
Make a one handed version
TinySandwich2 20 jun 2012 om 14:35
make Saarateth or whatever it is i cant remember
Admiral Awesome 16 jun 2012 om 3:46
very cool, u should make orsinos staff too :D
Satan 13 jun 2012 om 18:02
search up champion mage armor on the nexus, i know someone made the armor to go with this
LeftLlama 11 jun 2012 om 17:18
It's the Brionac! :D
Estaldin92 11 jun 2012 om 16:12
you should make a one handed version of the sword :)
Rand0mNumbers  [auteur] 10 jun 2012 om 11:06
I wouldn't have seen and acknowledged it either had I not made this. I usually play in first person with swords and spells. I never really bothered with staves and as such never took notice of whether they had an attachment point or not.
IamOrion 10 jun 2012 om 8:51
Ah, well...that would explain it. Shows how much I use a staff.
Rand0mNumbers  [auteur] 9 jun 2012 om 13:22
All staves disappear. They don't go to an attachment point. They just appear out of nowhere. It is rather annoying...
IamOrion 9 jun 2012 om 10:34
I dont know why but the staff doesn't unequip onto my back, it just isnt there when I put it away using "R" but when I hit "R" to draw it the weapon is in my hands.
Rand0mNumbers  [auteur] 8 jun 2012 om 17:54
The branches are where those polys go. I didn't want them to look like bent blocks.
HabituallyErrant 8 jun 2012 om 7:09
Surely that many polys on the gem is unnecessary. It's basically a sphere, so you could could it down to about 250 and use smoothing groups easily.
Rand0mNumbers  [auteur] 7 jun 2012 om 15:33
A simple swap to onehanded is easy, but it doesn't look right from any angle. The animations don't make sense and running around with a staff on your hip pointing forward at a 30 degree angle is just weird.

There are options to change equip/unequip sounds, but not animations. I'm looking for the Anim Type dropdown menu entry sources (probably the animations .bsa) to see if I can swap things around.
Amorphbutt 7 jun 2012 om 15:01
could you make the staff of parthathon sword onehanded?

AzorakZorai 7 jun 2012 om 12:53
@lrddrgn I'd personally recommend the Dragon Age 2 Mage Champion Armor (assuming it hasn't already been made, of course).
