Error found in logs related to this mod:

could i maybe suggest you change the hylotl dialogue so its less pretentious and disgusted towards floran objects? i quite like them and his constant prattling on about florans being horrible is getting annoying while i scan things...

I'm using latest Frackin' Universe with NovaKid Black Core, Black Ship and Solara Sword. There is only one error in this mod and it's not even game breaking, you can just unpack and remove the "cantreach" section, here is the error;

Jack: Yes, as stated in the description, this predates the Novakid update that added Nova-specific dialogue.

I've played a bit with Novakid crew vanilla, they seem to have their own full dialogue, i see no placeholder text

I gotta be honest... I've tried the game with this mod, and then the 'official' novakid dialog... I drastically prefer their dialog with this mod installed.

@Deathbringer For the time being the only way to recruit them is through the admin command: /spawnnpc novakid crewmember [x] (the [x] being insert number from 1-6) or by recruiting them as tenants and eventually crewmembers. The first option being if you don't feel like setting up a saloon-themed colony and just wanna hurry up and get the novakid crew

Gonna unsub to test out 1.1 Novakid dialogue, but I'll keep fav'd and uprated. Might switch back if prefer this dialogue to the new one!

Does this interfere with the New Starbound 1.1 update? I'll be playing around and test it out if it does or not, since I have gotten this before the Update.

i agree with bal the noise for them talking should be changed also the hurt sound for them should be more like a uman grunt but like bal said with a heavenly aura

@Nomad Bal: It's based on the Novakid hurt sound, which is the only Novakid sound that comes in the vanilla game. But it's less harsh than the hurt noise, if you can believe it! (To my ears, anyway.)

The chatter sound sounds like a floran that is drowning, so annoying! D:
Maybe a "hmm?" with a burning/heavenly sound would fit better

If you want to get a novakid crew member without cheating,get a bartender by furniture from Frogg Furnishing and do their quests.

and if the files aren't new at the very least they are CERTAINLY being updated and with so much focus on them I highly doubt that they're going to remain 'inactive' (if that's what they are) for much longer.

As for what Keldos said, if you give the Nightly Diffs a look, found here: http://helmet.kafuka.org/sbmods/diffs/ You'll find that the recent .txt files list all sorts of new novakid files. Novakid dungeons, novakid villages with novakid saloons, objects dubberd "Frontier" [object type here] for Novakids, .etc .etc

As you can see, on miniature in inventory window, some pixels of novakid's body are out of armor.

@*Yuki*: I might do a before-and-after screenshot later, but for now, the text in the example image would have been something generic like "Captain!" or "Let's get going!" without the mod. There are other things, like replacing the default chatter sounds (the "hm?" noise when they speak) with a more Novakid-ish effect, and commenting on nearby objects using Novakid item descriptions.

As for graphics: Since this is just a change to their text, I'm not sure what you mean, unfortunately! But it sounds like something beyond the scope of this mod.

Also - can you make small graphical fix for their bodies? For now, body parts sometimes looks like they are out of wearables in inventory

it even makes sense for them to make a town in the middle of nowhere they would be walking and get bored then just put up a house like a player douse then the next gas bag comes by and sees the house and moves in next door because if that guy moved here it must be a nice place

In theory, all you need to make this work is a big enough mission area with Saloon furniishing. But hey, I don't care, this is needed somewhere :3

@Officer Hot-Pants, Agreed. I'me hopeful someone's workinh on proper villages and dungeons for them aswell, so we can really get the novakid party going. I can accept that they dont document their history, but too not even have towns is somewhat absurd...

It's really rather sad that the most distinct race in the game gets the least attention from the developers. Fortunate thing that we have modders to address that shortcoming.
