Before ticking the "clear area" and "drop contents" checkboxes, I suggest to only scan the building and be sure you got the blueprint.
Plus when doing so for an important building, like your byos ship, I also suggest to tick the "save blueprint to starbound.log" checkbox and extract the blueprint from your log following this mod page instructions, so that the blueprint will be more accessible for future use in the custom blueprint section for all your characters
It works in my game, maybe you are trying to scan some modded block or object?
It throws errors, has issues with cointainer contents, sometimes it leaves glass blocks and has heavy performance issues with big scan/blueprints, but it just works :P
but now back to my problem it still doesnt work on vanilla client why the fk ever it does work with xsb client

i cant believe i spent so long looking for whatever this is from, thanks to the comment of @Nephirus90 i miracilously figured this could be it...
mostly cheap shelters that can be thrown up in a few seconds, rather than taking a while to create something from scratch every time I think i know how it should work.
-If you use the "building scanner" or the "area consumer", each container will drop an empty replica of itself on the ground, instead of vanishing.
-If you use the "area clearer", each container dropped will be empty.
The good news is that whether you use a "building scanner" or a "building duplicator", the items inside the containers are properly recorded in the blueprints.
The bad news is that if you use an "area consumer" or an "area clearer", the contents of your containers will be permanently lost.
The "scanner console" has the same problems as its related tools.
Maybe I am missing a conflict with other mods? My modlist: https://pastebin.com/nRx9CKkr
game like these I usually rush ending and not build much but now that I wanted to build
it just feel soo slow and I do not have head for builder if the game not The Sims so this help really much
and...don't forget to interact with the copies printer by pressing E
I thought the mod broken for like 10 minute of watching its scanning effect
the data is stored as text files in your assets folder.
I'm trying to figure out how to us it to make rapidly deployed bunkers or even whole bases. i've figured hoe to move the base to the left of the printer, just not up/down yt
pilcheistein, can you help me figure out how to do so?
While i absolutely love this mod, i'd love a version that is much more survival compliant (IE i have to input X amount of blocks and stuff into the blueprint block thing or pay a set amount of pixels that increases/decrease in cost with the size of the ship, though certain things like these instance doors should maybe be not allowed to be blueprintable)
