The content of my "ugc" isn't entirely the same as the one on your end to uploading them wouldn't help you. Since I am the mod author, they're called (for example) meost.mod instead of ugc_686666244.mod. The only thing that's different is the "path" line though, which on your end is an "archive" line instead. But here's my meost.mod file content, if it helps:
name="Mass Effect Soundtrack"
path="mod/meost"
tags={
"Sound"
"Music"
"OST"
}
picture="thumb.png"
remote_file_id="686666244"
supported_version="2.0.*"
So... I have no idea what's going on here. :/
Also maybe steam downloaded this collection badly, worth a try to unsubscribe, delete the mod files and subscribe again
For reference, if you want to test it out:
Mass Effect Sountrack: ugc_686666244.mod
Mass Effect Atmospheric: ugc_686663167.mod
Mass Effect Action: ugc_688300098.mod
Mass Effect Andromeda: ugc_900524151.mod
Moon: ugc_688749248.mod
Solaris: ugc_688072278.mod
Sunshine: ugc_692306567.mod
The Fountain: ugc_686653018.mod
Tron: ugc_690303049.mod
Something you could try (but could also be a total waste of time...) is going into your mod folder here:
...Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris\mod
And manually change the version of the mods from "2.0.*" to "2.0.0"
The files are named "ugc_???.mod". You can safely open them with notepad and change this line (most likely the last line of the file):
supported_version="2.0.*"
The weird issue is that happens to him and his friend. I suppose they play toghter so they have the same modpack. I know music mods cant conflict, but im really curious now to see what's causing the issue.
- meostsongs.asset
- meostsongs.txt
So it's not impossible, but very highly unlikely to happen.
Yes, all the soundtracks in this collection active.
Using also Dark UI (but i dont think the UI can conflict) and English localization (but again, dont think localization can bug it?)
Did you try restarting Steam, or even unsubbing/resubbing?
Did you have all the soundtracks in this collection active? It wasn't a CTD, it wouldn't even load for me and my friend. Once we ticked all the soundtracks to inactive the game launched no problem.
@Obersturmbannführer Todesengel
Tested on my side, no CDT, no issues in 2.0 (with Apocalypse DLC)
Can launch and play as usual
Did it crash straight at launch, or randomly?
Also, what mod in particular was it?
Thanks man! I've just updated the whole thing to 1.3.1, so no more hideous warning. ;) Enjoy!

Hey there, great mods, i add them all in my game ^^
I would add "Music of the sphere" from Mike Oldfield the whole album is just amazing and fit very well for space games ( he was thinking about astral bodies "talking" with theirs own vibration by creating this album )
Cool. I might just do it as well if you don't, I guess it's as much a hassle to me as it is to you.
I've thought about it. The fact there are already 3 music mods for Eve kinda put me off, but the authors don't seem too keen on keeping them updated. IneptVirus' mod was updated recently though, so there's still hope. But if they all keep their mods constantly outdated, I may step in at some point.
@Nimja
That's not a bad idea at all. I never make promises, but there's a good chance for me to deliver in the near future. Stay tuned, I suppose. :)
Thanks
ninhurt's Interstellar music mod was updated and should now be compatible with pretty much everything on the workshop. :) Enjoy!
There already an Interstellar music mod on the workshop, but right now that one replaces Stellaris' own soundtrack completely and may have compatibility issues with other music mods... I'll wait and see if the modder updates it. If not, I may step in at some point. Wait and see.
@Eisvisage
That might be a good idea as well. I love the show, but don't really remember its music, aside from the original main theme. I'll look into it. As usual, no promises though !
