Music mods do not need to be updated to the lastest version. All they do is add music Francisco.
Francisco 7 Jun, 2019 @ 8:27am
Will it be updated to 2.3?
XRsyst 10 Mar, 2019 @ 8:15pm
Thanks for doing this, it really helps keep the game great when you've played it a bunch.
★REM★ 21 Jun, 2018 @ 6:38am
Thank you for mantaining updated the collection despite it works without updates, i really appreciate you do it.
Minoris  [author] 2 Mar, 2018 @ 8:16pm
Hey sorry man, I didn't get your last messages. It seems I once again managed to uncheck the "Subscribe to thread" thing... :/

The content of my "ugc" isn't entirely the same as the one on your end to uploading them wouldn't help you. Since I am the mod author, they're called (for example) meost.mod instead of ugc_686666244.mod. The only thing that's different is the "path" line though, which on your end is an "archive" line instead. But here's my meost.mod file content, if it helps:

name="Mass Effect Soundtrack"
path="mod/meost"
tags={
"Sound"
"Music"
"OST"
}
picture="thumb.png"
remote_file_id="686666244"
supported_version="2.0.*"
AncientGatekeeper 25 Feb, 2018 @ 5:05pm
And I just use what you have written in them? For some weird reason it didn't work when I wrote 2.0.0. I might have written them wrong not sure tho.
AncientGatekeeper 25 Feb, 2018 @ 3:32pm
Is it possible that you can copy and upload your mods ugc's into a google drive for me?
Minoris  [author] 25 Feb, 2018 @ 10:46am
So bad news, using the same loadout you apparently do (everything on your Intergalactic Warfare 2.0 collection and all of my music mods), the game runs just fine here. No crash, no nothing.

So... I have no idea what's going on here. :/
★REM★ 25 Feb, 2018 @ 3:11am
@Obersturmbannführer Todesengel you probably already done this, but can you try to right click on Stellaris on Steam, then Properties, then choose Local Files, then press "Verify Integrity of Cache Files" and let it work? i doubt that but maybe you have a corrupted file that cause the issue?
Also maybe steam downloaded this collection badly, worth a try to unsubscribe, delete the mod files and subscribe again
Minoris  [author] 24 Feb, 2018 @ 9:52pm
I subscribed to every mod on your collection. I'll test tomorrow and see what happens, I'll keep you informed of the result!
AncientGatekeeper 24 Feb, 2018 @ 9:17pm
It still didn't work. I'll leave you a link to the mods that we play with and experience no issues. If you enable them and get the same thing I'm getting, then it must be some mod interacting with yours. Odd thing is, none of those mods touch music or anything that yours does. Stellaris: Intergalactic Warfare 2.0+
AncientGatekeeper 24 Feb, 2018 @ 8:42pm
So just change supported_version="2.0. *" to supported_version="2.0.0 *"
AncientGatekeeper 24 Feb, 2018 @ 8:40pm
Sure, I can give that a try right now and get back to you! Thanks for your time and I do enjoy your mods!
Minoris  [author] 24 Feb, 2018 @ 8:18pm
Most modders use "2.0.*" because we're lazy bastards and don't want to update every single hotfix, but in very rare cases, I've seen crashes because of it. So it might be worth a try.
For reference, if you want to test it out:

Mass Effect Sountrack: ugc_686666244.mod
Mass Effect Atmospheric: ugc_686663167.mod
Mass Effect Action: ugc_688300098.mod
Mass Effect Andromeda: ugc_900524151.mod
Moon: ugc_688749248.mod
Solaris: ugc_688072278.mod
Sunshine: ugc_692306567.mod
The Fountain: ugc_686653018.mod
Tron: ugc_690303049.mod
Minoris  [author] 24 Feb, 2018 @ 8:14pm
I just tried again in-game, played with all of my mods active and didn't get any crash. So... I have no idea what's causing this.
Something you could try (but could also be a total waste of time...) is going into your mod folder here:
...Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris\mod
And manually change the version of the mods from "2.0.*" to "2.0.0"
The files are named "ugc_???.mod". You can safely open them with notepad and change this line (most likely the last line of the file):
supported_version="2.0.*"
AncientGatekeeper 24 Feb, 2018 @ 7:24pm
Is it possible it is due to me having all three of these active at the same time? https://imgur.com/BYvE4ii For for the inconvience.
AncientGatekeeper 24 Feb, 2018 @ 7:19pm
Okay so I just crashed when launching with the soundtracks as the only active mod. This is really weird. (Note: It is just the soundtracks listed here, not the Ninhurt ones).
AncientGatekeeper 24 Feb, 2018 @ 7:17pm
Alright I'm launching with only your soundtracks enabled. I currently was playing with other mods active, but no soundtracks. The only thing I can think of is it was conflicting with a mod that isn't a soundtrack.
AncientGatekeeper 24 Feb, 2018 @ 7:10pm
I'll look into it on my end. It was really odd considering we even tried to launch with just the soundtracks.
★REM★ 24 Feb, 2018 @ 4:29pm
@Minoris
The weird issue is that happens to him and his friend. I suppose they play toghter so they have the same modpack. I know music mods cant conflict, but im really curious now to see what's causing the issue.
Minoris  [author] 24 Feb, 2018 @ 4:12pm
Also, come to think of it, that kind of conflict wouldn't crash the game either. The way the game is coded, if two files share the same name, the latest in the load order is loading and the other one is simply ignored so that's certainly not what's happening here.
Minoris  [author] 24 Feb, 2018 @ 4:09pm
The way music mods are made, it's nigh impossible for other mods to conflict. I mean taking the main Mass Effect Soundtrack mod as an example, to conflict, the other mod must have a file with either (or both) of those very specific names, and be located in the "Music" folder as well:
- meostsongs.asset
- meostsongs.txt

So it's not impossible, but very highly unlikely to happen.
★REM★ 24 Feb, 2018 @ 4:04pm
@Obersturmbannführer Todesengel

Yes, all the soundtracks in this collection active.
Using also Dark UI (but i dont think the UI can conflict) and English localization (but again, dont think localization can bug it?)
Minoris  [author] 24 Feb, 2018 @ 3:28pm
Everything's fine on my end as well.
Did you try restarting Steam, or even unsubbing/resubbing?
AncientGatekeeper 24 Feb, 2018 @ 9:49am
Weird @Rem,

Did you have all the soundtracks in this collection active? It wasn't a CTD, it wouldn't even load for me and my friend. Once we ticked all the soundtracks to inactive the game launched no problem.
★REM★ 24 Feb, 2018 @ 8:20am
@Minoris
@Obersturmbannführer Todesengel

Tested on my side, no CDT, no issues in 2.0 (with Apocalypse DLC)
Can launch and play as usual
AncientGatekeeper 23 Feb, 2018 @ 9:33pm
Hey there! Thanks for replying in a timely manner. It would crash right at launch. I had all the mods in this soundtrack collection enabled. After we disabled the soundtracks the game launched fine. I can try again tomorrow and go one by one to find out which one could be causing an issue.
Minoris  [author] 23 Feb, 2018 @ 8:28pm
@Todesengel
Did it crash straight at launch, or randomly?
Also, what mod in particular was it?
AncientGatekeeper 23 Feb, 2018 @ 7:52pm
Just letting you know that something was going on with the soundtrack mod in 2.0. It was crashing the game, but when we turned them off it worked fine.
★REM★ 23 Feb, 2018 @ 7:32am
Yay, new update, thank you i was waiting so much for this :)
AncientGatekeeper 22 Feb, 2018 @ 4:50pm
Thanks for your awesome work Minoris!
Minoris  [author] 22 Feb, 2018 @ 4:46pm
I just updated everything for 2.0.* so there shouldn't be any red warning tag anymore. :)
AncientGatekeeper 6 Feb, 2018 @ 12:23pm
The packs are listed out of date for the current build. Just a heads up.
Korpse 17 Dec, 2017 @ 9:44am
Been using your music packs for awhile now but just wanted to say i really appreciate them.
ocelot64 2 Nov, 2016 @ 10:16pm
Thank you for providing these awesome music mods. I love the ME soundtracks.
★REM★ 28 Oct, 2016 @ 5:01pm
Yay no more red warnings :) thank you for the update, really appreciated
Minoris  [author] 28 Oct, 2016 @ 4:58pm
@Where_am_i
Thanks man! I've just updated the whole thing to 1.3.1, so no more hideous warning. ;) Enjoy!
★REM★ 27 Oct, 2016 @ 6:40am

@minoris
Hey there, great mods, i add them all in my game ^^
I would add "Music of the sphere" from Mike Oldfield the whole album is just amazing and fit very well for space games ( he was thinking about astral bodies "talking" with theirs own vibration by creating this album )
mogens pløkketoft 20 Jun, 2016 @ 10:56am
@Minoris
Cool. I might just do it as well if you don't, I guess it's as much a hassle to me as it is to you.
Minoris  [author] 17 Jun, 2016 @ 7:01pm
@Nullbyte
I've thought about it. The fact there are already 3 music mods for Eve kinda put me off, but the authors don't seem too keen on keeping them updated. IneptVirus' mod was updated recently though, so there's still hope. But if they all keep their mods constantly outdated, I may step in at some point.

@Nimja
That's not a bad idea at all. I never make promises, but there's a good chance for me to deliver in the near future. Stay tuned, I suppose. :)
Nimja 16 Jun, 2016 @ 6:27pm
Nimja 16 Jun, 2016 @ 6:25pm
How about Oblivion Original Motion Picture Soundtrack? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sYD_U1CChew
mogens pløkketoft 15 Jun, 2016 @ 2:17am
Oh how great it would be to have the EVE soundtrack in a properly maintained version.
Eisvisage 25 May, 2016 @ 6:16am
@Minoris Just listen into the intro music of SG1, SGA and maybe SGU, and then look into some of the other background music as well :)
Timur 25 May, 2016 @ 4:49am
@Minoris
Thanks
Minoris  [author] 24 May, 2016 @ 11:00pm
@SHAZAM!
ninhurt's Interstellar music mod was updated and should now be compatible with pretty much everything on the workshop. :) Enjoy!
Minoris  [author] 24 May, 2016 @ 11:44am
@SHAZAM!
There already an Interstellar music mod on the workshop, but right now that one replaces Stellaris' own soundtrack completely and may have compatibility issues with other music mods... I'll wait and see if the modder updates it. If not, I may step in at some point. Wait and see.

@Eisvisage
That might be a good idea as well. I love the show, but don't really remember its music, aside from the original main theme. I'll look into it. As usual, no promises though !
Eisvisage 24 May, 2016 @ 8:51am
It would be awesome to have some Stargate music in Stellaris :)
