It says The mod does not support the current version (1.8.2) of the game. The mod supports version 1.6.*

Ok I pushed it to the workshop... first time, so prob did something wrong. Try subbing to it and see if it works!

Glad to hear it's working. I don't have an ultrawide, and as you can imagine trying to mod something like this for a monitor you don't have is.. not good! hehe... so 2560x1440 is what it is for now. That submenu is kinda lame, I agree...

Anyways, we'll give it a couple more days for you all to report any glaring bugs and if it all seems ok I'll turn it into a proper mod so that Steam can do all the updating and such.

Thanks a lot, Tia! Looking good so far... haven't notice anything yet, I'll keep playing with it later this weekend. I've checked the diffs on the .gui files and I'm just wondering why animation_time has been set to zero (in some case)? Didn't know the mod changed those values. Thanks again, really appreciate it.

PS: Do you have an ultrawide? A proper 3440x1440 UI (ie. all top buttons visible and not hidden behind yet another submenu) would be even more awesome!

Unzip it (it includes both files, a mod and a zip) into your Documents\Paradox\Stellaris\mod folder, and make sure this old one is disabled! I named it differently so you should be able to tell.

Basically I just combined the old settings from this broken mod and the updates from Dr. Maple's 1080 work into a new working version of them both. Tested everything and it looks ok, but one caveat... I only recently got my 1440p monitor and i havent played a lot of Stellaris since! So there may be some screens that should be bigger but I'm not used to seeing them that way anyways! You guys will have to let me know.

I'll make any changes as required, and if Tyrus has really ditched this one then maybe I can try to publish this as a new mod to keep it updated easier.

I've started working on an update for this, it's pretty tedious though. Will post it here once I (hopefully) get it done... be a couple days at least.

Just FYI, Dr. Maple (1080p version co-author) told me : "The 1440p version is dead as Tyrus has been MIA for about 3 weeks. I can't even update the description for this mod as I can't get ahold of him."

Agreed with those saying this should be available by DEFAULT in the base game. 1440+ is becoming very standard especially for gamers.

Yeah, someone else needs to pick this project up, or Paradox needs to fix this already. Really silly 1440p isn't supported properly in game. 3 x-pacs but can't scale ui properly yet? Shitty.

Yup, can also confirm that this mod (the only one in my collection) crashes when the game loads, before reaching the main menu screen. Keeping this in my subscribe list for now, but deactivated, until further notice. I hope it's updated soon! :HeroesFist:

As of the 1.8 update this mod crashes the game on startup, a serious shame as it's extremely useful quality of life mod for those of us with higher resolutions :(

Be aware that after testing this mod with 1.8 (all dlc on) the game crash.
I have made many test and i can say at 90% accuracy that this mod crash Stellaris 1.8

@Soup - Mostly. Bradbury adds a few new things to the UI for the multiplayer overhaul, so you will probably have a few glitches here and there, but it does "work".

This is great for 3440x1440 ! I was wondering if you could expand out the menu buttons at the top ( these ones http://imgur.com/tLyKaau instead instead of having the dropdown since there's plenty of room on uwide.

Hey, nice mod but research window is not the correct size, in technology_view.gui change y-value on line 185 to 1159 and y-value on line 204 to 1287. (The tech list is shorter than the window and bottom fade is too high up.)

Works with 1.6.1 but research list stops at 1080p size leaving blank space at bottom.
(deleted 1080p mod files before activating 1440p mod)
