The Haunted helmet would be great! Also great work :D
grovinch 7 Dec, 2017 @ 1:45pm
Very Good mod. Its a shame that all of the Halo's armor mods are dead tho.
DocSheepdog 30 Sep, 2017 @ 10:32pm
I have to say, of all the mods I've used. This one is one of the absolute best! Never crashes, never fails, and never disappears with patches. Also, the helmets look amazing! Thanks for creating this!!!

I have a wotc update ready, im just waiting for steam to let me get a publishing ID for a new mod file. All cosmetic mods are now officially ready to be re-released for Wotc at this time, thank you guys for your support and patience.
Lauren Lore  [author] 29 Aug, 2017 @ 4:43pm
@Sephistrife19
Thank you! thats exactly the question i needed answered the most, ill slowly being porting and uploading new version of all the mods as they are now for wotc and leave these files alone. I will link the descriptions to the wotc version and vice-vera when they are ready
FSK | Seph 29 Aug, 2017 @ 4:29pm
@Nigel As I understand it, you can do it one way or the other. It's up to you. You should be aware, however, that if you update this to work for WOTC, it won't work for the base game. WOTC and the base game use different shaders, and that seems to be the biggest change. If you want people to use this without having to pay for and install the expansion, you'll need to upload a seperate version.
Daryl Dixon 29 Aug, 2017 @ 4:17pm
Thanks Nigel!
Lauren Lore  [author] 29 Aug, 2017 @ 2:31pm
Thank you for your guys support, ill be looking into the proper ways to update the mods without causing too much confusion. As it stands i am unsure of whether or not i need to upload the mods as new workshop files or as just updates. It will probably be a day or two while i poke around WOTC to figure out whats going on.

Thank you guys for you continued support and patience and Spartan A291 for gifting wotc
Hydronicus 29 Aug, 2017 @ 12:29pm
Seems we will all have to chip in for Nigel's copy that way we wont have to wait haha
FSK | Seph 29 Aug, 2017 @ 10:13am
@Nigel Disappointing. I really liked this mod.
Lauren Lore  [author] 29 Aug, 2017 @ 8:47am
Im aware of that the mod is broken for wotc and i will upload a seperate version for wotc once i can afford to purchase wotc. Sadly at this time however i cannot afford wotc and there will be a fair wait.
frankiemojica01 29 Aug, 2017 @ 12:54am
needs update for WOTC
TeaVeins 27 Aug, 2017 @ 2:25am
Erm, as a total newbie to the game who just picked it up, how would I change the colour of this armor?
Lauren Lore  [author] 17 Jul, 2017 @ 6:36pm
@Artek [General]
Lack of polygons are because i did not make the helmets, they are direct ports from Halo Reach which is a rather old game now and made for consoles so the poly counts have to be lower.

Glad you enjoy the first mod i made for XCom2 though! I would update the helmets with some more advanced texturing techniques ive learned from modding this game specifically and making them look nicer in this specific engine but ive lost my interest in XCom2 as of the current moment.
Artek [General] 15 Jul, 2017 @ 5:20pm
Thank you for this mod! I've never played Halo, but i really like their art-style, especially armor and helmets.
However: i have to admit that the overall quality of these helmets is noticeably lower than the rest of the game (and even some other mods).
Rough edges, lack of polygons, etc.

Otherwise these helmets go very good with tier 1 and tier 2 armor sets, its tier 3 where i have to abandon them for consistency of fashion.
Lauren Lore  [author] 9 Jun, 2017 @ 8:42am
@Kenji
Exactly what i was trying to get at
Kenji 5 Jun, 2017 @ 2:58am
Thanks for the idea, here's what I did to reduce the entries down to no color variants:

in the workshop/content/(XCOM2 number)/635150344/Config
- Make backup for any of the following files
- Delete most of the lines containing colors in XComContent.ini, keep whichever variant desired and keep the .ini file open

Do the same for XComGame.int (open with txt editor of any sort) located at the Localization folder, only keeping the ones not deleted from the above file. (Otherwise the name shows up as Helmet / Helmet # with no name but still takes up a slot)

This dramatically reduced the number of helmets and I get to finally enjoy my plethora of troops using Reach helmets.
Lauren Lore  [author] 2 Jun, 2017 @ 2:54am
@Kenji
To remove the other visor colors you have to edit one of the files, i could be wrong, but im pretty sure if you remove the entries in the localization file, the items wont show up anymore. or the names will be blank.. one of those. Alternatively theres another file with all the +item entries you can remove what you dont want.

Its a long shot to say this but i might make a condensed version of this with the original silver only visor
Kenji 31 May, 2017 @ 8:29am
I know the mod author has answered this before, but doesn't hurt to request again:

Can the author make a lite-version of this mod where there are none of the colored variants of the helmets? Or maybe a set of instructions on how to remove duplicates of the helmets and only preserving the ones that we'd like.

It'd be much appreciated.
Collin 13 Apr, 2017 @ 9:19pm
Is it possible to get a version of this mod that doens't have the additional colored visors? It's cool to have the option but I'll probably only ever use the default visor so there's a lot of props that I might never use taking up space in the menus.
metsfan4ever1997 16 Mar, 2017 @ 9:35am
Im definetly gonna do a RvB saves the world xD
nightwolfxbox 14 Mar, 2017 @ 2:59pm
Hey, I have a bit of a request. Would it be at all possible for me to get access to one of your helmet's model? I'm really into 3d printing and I'd love to make one for my collection.
mad_cat 1 Mar, 2017 @ 1:24am
As you can tell, I've never played Halo. OK, I played the first one.

@mad_cat
Wrong Halo Game. Their stuff is from Halo4/5
mad_cat 23 Feb, 2017 @ 3:11am
Any chance to get helmets from RvB of Carolina and Locus? Or are those custom ones?
Vik Kosenko 12 Feb, 2017 @ 8:21pm
@My Epic System Same, Now i can Xcom it up and feel badass doin it. Oh teh nostalgia!
Sweet C 10 Jan, 2017 @ 12:29am
I think this mod has made me decide to pick the game up. Thanks, lol!
My Epic System 12 Nov, 2016 @ 10:50am
Dude, Halo Reach was my first foray into the Halo series, to see it given some love... *sniffle* brings a tear to my eye...
🎖xXStretcHXx🎖 7 Nov, 2016 @ 3:23pm
Another awesome mod!

Is there a way to make the MP visors transparent? it would go well with the Reach Marines mod since they wore transparent versions.
woo4 20 Oct, 2016 @ 6:37am
thanks, this mod is awsome

This mod is...

Smashing.
FSK | Seph 4 Jul, 2016 @ 6:53am
@Nigel, I was mistaken. The DLC didn't break this mod. It broke the weapons mod.
VertigoJockey 4 Jul, 2016 @ 1:52am
There was a weird hiccup with the new DLC that flipped a lot of mods over. The solution is to verify the game cache, disable all mods, restart the game then reenable everything.
Panopticon 4 Jul, 2016 @ 12:46am
But isn't this a cosmetic mod? The Alien Hunters DLC didn't break this.
Lauren Lore  [author] 3 Jul, 2016 @ 4:00pm
What exactly is broken about it so i can have somewhere to start when i work on it
FSK | Seph 2 Jul, 2016 @ 12:21pm
Just as an FYI, the latest DLC seems to have broken everything on this mod (as well as others). Had a shit ton of mods and dey all gone, now.
L.K.D 22 Jun, 2016 @ 4:16am
good
Panopticon 7 Jun, 2016 @ 10:29pm
@Cookie_Abaddon

That's a great idea.
By creating elite models, people can cosmetically change their human soldiers into elites.

But, making elites an entirely new class or a new ADVENT alien will take some more work.
