Hope the sunsets can beat this one! (Although I do like the sunsets from the Polynesia theme...)

XD Very happy. No one will be as happy as Trump. We'll have a lot of very happy people. It'll be great! You'll see, happy!
Meteor Daddy 16 May, 2016 @ 4:08pm
Nice. Donald Trump will be happy to hear that!
mrfdot 15 May, 2016 @ 6:52pm
Thanks!
MrMiyagi  [author] 15 May, 2016 @ 6:14pm
I'm making an entirely new theme to replace this one. Any themes made during a certain time period are just simply borked... no way to get them working right. Should be ocming out pretty soon ObamaIsLife :)
mrfdot 15 May, 2016 @ 6:11pm
I thought I had that problem and it was just me.
Meteor Daddy 12 Apr, 2016 @ 8:31am
Ok. I will :)
MrMiyagi  [author] 12 Apr, 2016 @ 4:01am
O.o Oh wait, I had that happen once, Vexcarius. Do you have any of the mods that change the clouds / fog or original daylight? Try fiddling with those under their options menu. I saw that this and another custom theme have a black horizon when one of the options is engaged. Give that a try?
Meteor Daddy 8 Apr, 2016 @ 5:27am
Thanks bro. I'm incomplete without these themes. :steamhappy: My sky are dark even if it's 12:00 noon
MrMiyagi  [author] 7 Apr, 2016 @ 5:59am
Yup that is being looked into, my friend. Also there are awful things happening with road textures, too. Here's the forum thread we're discussing this on https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/new-water-normals-issue-dev-respond-needed.915277/#post-20856645
agusingnavy 31 Mar, 2016 @ 11:23pm
@MrMiyagi, what's wrong with the map themes, some textures looks like a chessboard. I'm starting to build in your new Marco Island and this is how it looks with your map theme http://imgur.com/a/jP5Iq . Or the tiling is being reset to default or the normals are wrong. And same thing with all the themes I've tried. You know that I've hated the map theme since the beginning. Imagine how I feel now.
Meteor Daddy 27 Mar, 2016 @ 7:27pm
I'm getting dark skies T.T
MrMiyagi  [author] 27 Mar, 2016 @ 9:28am
Hiya, You can try an experiment. Open it iup and say yes, you want a default theme (it will be regular tropical). Then hit save, but instead save the file names with a different name (like "Jasmineville Backup". Then go back out, when you go to open "Jasmineville backup", before you click "ok" to load that game, there should be a dropdown menu to change the theme from "none" to Polynesia. I think it will be possible. Then open with Polynesia. I hope that might work! Let me know :)
Jasmine 26 Mar, 2016 @ 5:58pm
Hi MrMiyagi. Thanks for trying! I am still getting the error. To be precise it reads "Warning: The custom map theme used by this map or save is missing. A default map theme will be used instead. Do you wish to proceed?". I've been hitting no to it, but then it doesn't load, so I play a different city.

I am thinking that since the theme is different in any way from when I created it, my save is going to say that. Perhaps I didn't notice for a while and it would need several roll backs. Instead of asking you that, I tried creating a new map and it worked fine for it. Because of that, I'd say re-do the changes you rolled back. I will then try saying Yes to that message and hopefully it will load your theme. If it does not and makes me use the default like the message implies, I'll just start a new map. The theme is too beautiful not to play =P
MrMiyagi  [author] 26 Mar, 2016 @ 3:18am
Jasmine, if you haven't saved over your current game, can you let me know if it works again?
MrMiyagi  [author] 26 Mar, 2016 @ 3:12am
Ah, it must have not liked what I did. I'll roll it back
Jasmine 26 Mar, 2016 @ 12:45am
I think it's broken now, I get a message saying Files are missing and it will revert to a default theme when I try to select it when loading my map
MrMiyagi  [author] 23 Mar, 2016 @ 3:59pm
Updated today, hope you like the changes, and let me know how it looks so I can refine it if needed
MrMiyagi  [author] 8 Mar, 2016 @ 11:09am
Yup, I was able to do so. You have to disable to Terrain Themes mod and the terrain theme package. You can select this as a map theme before starting up your city again. right on the load screen (drop down menu)
Meteor Daddy 8 Mar, 2016 @ 10:28am
I haven't explored the new theme system of CS... Can I apply this theme on my existing maps?
MrMiyagi  [author] 8 Mar, 2016 @ 10:24am
Meow! :D I'm going to update it now, actually, to take out the weird rocks and maybe the grass. They look weird when in first person mode
Meteor Daddy 8 Mar, 2016 @ 10:06am
Purrfect!
MrMiyagi  [author] 4 Mar, 2016 @ 1:47pm
Thank you so much! :) I'm so glad you mentioned how you're liking it. I haven't really been able to play it much since I'm so absorbed building on Monaco. If I'm able to learn more about texturing and when CO further develops the map theme editor (which will eventually happen), I think I will be able to make more customizations than I currently am able to. The cool thing is that any new changes will go out to you directly and improve your city! Thanks again and have fun!

@MrMiyagi - for what it's worth, whatever frustration you're having with this theme... it's by far the best tropical theme IMHO. I use it for any beach/tropical map....sooooo, keep on it. Your hard work isn't un-noticed or unappreciated. Thank you! :)
MrMiyagi  [author] 20 Feb, 2016 @ 6:31am
Hey that does look better! I'm a bit frustrated with all this, Im going to send you a PM in the hopes you might want to have the original file of this and work on it. Really glad you went ahead and made your own new Caledonia! :) Just remmeber to save with a different name for the map file
Marmalade 19 Feb, 2016 @ 11:10am
Looks like you're getting somewhere man! :D

It seems like the sun does rise quickly sometime past 6, which I would assume starts at 6:15. I'd say figure out a way to prolong it to where it transitions a bit more smoothly. Because if I remember right, on the New Caledonia theme with Time Warp, it started getting brighter out around 7 am, with that beautiful sunrise being at 6 am (or 5:59 am, but don't need to be exact. ;P)
Plus without messing with Time Warp, it does seem pretty bright out. But overall it does seem to be improving quite well, and hopefully others can see it too. :D

And that Caledonia 2.1 thing.... I just had to do it. lol I also do appreciate how it was slightly lighter in the sunrise, but I also think that in the Caledonia 2.0 photo the darkness added to the beauty of it.
Marmalade 19 Feb, 2016 @ 10:54am
And sure man, take your time on this :D
Marmalade 19 Feb, 2016 @ 10:47am
Alright I'll check her out. I'll leave any info and photos when I give it a go.
MrMiyagi  [author] 19 Feb, 2016 @ 10:40am
Okay Keith, I just updated the sun-related issues, so if you could let me know if it is improved ingame, that'd be awesome. I also moved the sun closer to the equator. I think that might actually make the day shorter (not what I want) if it actually simulates real latitudes, but given that I have to flip heightmaps upside down so north is at the bottom of the image (lol), then who knows? :D That will have to be all for now, I'm so tired :D
MrMiyagi  [author] 19 Feb, 2016 @ 10:15am
OKay, I can fix the sun right away. because thankfully the Network extensions mod is working now, so I can open up my cities to check it out. It is a serious pain in the butt when it comes to the color of farm fields and other colors as well, cause I have to log out and log in any time I want to check how it looks when I change one of the values lol. So, if you can bear with the kookiness for a while, that would be greatly appreciated.
Marmalade 19 Feb, 2016 @ 8:37am
You're welcome man!
MrMiyagi  [author] 19 Feb, 2016 @ 4:42am
Ah thank you for showing me!! This is someting we can't see easily at all. The day/night slider is as responsive as an elephant trying to use the computer mouse. So easy to miss this. Thanks, will get to fixing that.
Marmalade 18 Feb, 2016 @ 11:27pm
Also there's this: http://sp.zhabite.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=627495364

You'd probably be able to see that in the Theme Creator, but just wanted to get that posted just in case. :P
Marmalade 18 Feb, 2016 @ 11:22pm
Got a screenshot for ya Miyagi: http://sp.zhabite.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=627492813

Also I'd like to mention that around 7 in game, the sun starts fading into existence.
