Ah, these are beautifully designed, but as much as you promote them to fit in with any building, I'd *love* to have the option to theme them for a beach-y area specifically.

Thanks jobro :) We definitely needed some tropical feeling to our choices for suburbs. Happy building! :chirp:

@MrMiyagi - Wow man! You've got some nerve making some kickass assets, I'm surprised why they're hardly been rated at all? I mean, I literally subscribed all of them except for the house with the dead body lol! The look of your work is so refressing and so beautiful; truly Paradiso. :D

Keep it up and don't stop creating such fresh and creative works of art. ; )

There's a really cool way to have the ultimate control in what building goes where. What I do with all my buildings now is use the very good "Find It" mod. You go to its search option, click on commercial tourism, click one of these top level buildings, and then plop it onto the right sized zoned lot (you can plop over top of an existing building). If it's a top level building, then nothing will replace it. In this way, you get to choose where each building will go instead of random spawning. In the end it acts like RICO, but you don't have all the extra work involved with RICO and you don't have to have special separate RICO buildings :).

Note that I'm only asking about the commercial tourism assets! Thanks again!

Any tips on getting these to grow? I set up a theme to get these to spawn, but I had to add level 1 buildings to the theme, and those buildings are already 'maxed out' when they grow, and they won't upgrade to your level 2 buildings, as the game is telling me something like specialized buildings are always max level (or something to that effect). Is there any chance of lowering the level on these to "1" so that they'll spawn, or is there something else I can do to get them to actually grow in my city? Thanks for any tips.

Hi Polskers, it's by someone else but it's here in this other collection I made. It's called Pacific Bungalows, about half way down the page. I'm not great at organization (okay, I'm awful lol). http://sp.zhabite.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=688382045

Awesome work, Mr. Miyagi! Loving it! But, I seem to remember that you had a collection of tropical coastal looking houses/huts/something or other, but now I can't seem to find them? Were they taken down? I sure hope not! Any help?

In this screenshot you can see one of the tropical houses closest, and then over to the left you see a two story very traditional American looking house. So what you see here is what happens in my city just without assigning it any theme. The drawback of using a ton of my houses is that they are gardened pretty heavily. If I do more, I think I will have to have some that are much less heavily planted so our game still runs efficiently. For now, I use them in a mix. Hope that explains some, and if you want to make your own, please feel free to use my houses and their gardening to make them all your own!! :)

Yes, your theme will work perfectly with the base game if you have one of each size (1x1, 2x2, 3x3, etc) and for each one of those sizes a house at every level (1-5 for houses)... which as you see amounts to a LOT of extra houses... then you can use the base game's theme manager. What happens with a lot of the themes out there is that they don't offer levels 4 and 5, so once they get past that point, no more (insert theme name) houses. Some do now, but it's a ton of work for them.
It's been a long time since I made one for the vanilla game but I think this is how it goes: You find this option in the Content Manager, then click Themes, and then assign each building you want. Again, it doesn't stop higher level buildings from replacing your choices if they are missign any top levels. So... I imagine they might improve that in the future.

Those do look great! I was hoping for a theme or w/e so I could build entire districts to look like tropical themed. Do you know if you can make a theme in game to apply to districts or do you need a mod for that?

Hey there Derppy Cat, well there isn't going to be a complete set. I'm not sure I will be doing that much. However, that's not a problem at all! They are planned to look great amongst the other vanilla buildings, like in this example. http://sp.zhabite.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=600768440 WHenever you make a different city (like European for example), just do a search in content manager for "Paradise", and then you can deactivate all these tropical items temporarily.

can you make a set style with these?
