Can you make an american one?

Yeah, Th eonly problem with realism in CS is when there's that one van or ambulance that holds up the ENTIRE CITY

Just released a prop version. You can place them anywhere using BloodyPenguins More Beautification mod. Enjoy! http://sp.zhabite.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=563183546

Great work! Will you publish a version that can be placed free to use it for building some assets?
Soviet Sanvich 23 Nov, 2015 @ 7:14pm
Can't see it without a ground view camera anyway.
Leo Mystic Magic  [author] 23 Nov, 2015 @ 6:27pm
eh well Im probably not going to change the look, it doesn't bother me.
Soviet Sanvich 23 Nov, 2015 @ 6:23pm
Even bush trucks can be kept clean, (or clean enough...) and this is an urban fire engine.

@soviet Sanvich
I guess it's a bit different here in Australia. Fire trucks are very heavily used in bush fires, so it's super common for them to look 'worn' like they have been in the middle of a fire

@Greenhawk

Err, dirty trucks really are the outlier. Lookup "fire truck" and point to the dirty ones.
If a truck somehow ends up covered in soot from a fire then something has gone very, very wrong.

@shroomblaze

Right, that makes sense. Wonder what else you can do to solve the contrast issue.
Tealise 22 Nov, 2015 @ 11:06pm
I personally love the worn feel, makes the trucks feel much more life like. When do you ever see a completely clean fire truck, especially on its way back from a fire haha

Well, I wanted to give this one some dirt because there was a lot of red and it was hard to distinguish the various parts of the ladders which merged together, by giving it some dirt texture you can see the edges clearly and gives the vehicle some character as well.
Soviet Sanvich 22 Nov, 2015 @ 7:06pm
Why do some of your vehicles have a slightly "worn" texture? I haven't seen anyone make assets with similar weathering.

I dont think the model is too detailed. I like the stuff in my game to look realistic not cartoony unless its done right.
y35 22 Nov, 2015 @ 6:12pm
I think the problem with this is that the model is too detailed, the reason they look cartoony is so the look 3D, this doesn't

You're on fire !!!!! :)
Alex Monamochamuch 22 Nov, 2015 @ 1:49pm
