I measured this one in-game... it's only 350m tall https://imgur.com/UldlQY3

we really need a proper 1:1 version of this! :medkit: this one isn't even close
Kurtovicz 16 Feb, 2017 @ 4:09pm
Yeah I think this one isn't really scalled; The tower itself is 420 meters tall (Tip) and the top floor is at 349 meters, but in the game it seems like 50 meters shorter so I'd say make the scale 1.1 or 1.2 to match up to its real size. Other than that, that's a good mod!

Well I tried my best to make it look accurate, could be that it's the shanghai tower that's not to scale :p
Swiffer 26 Dec, 2016 @ 11:15pm
in the game jin mao seems to be like 300m shorter rather than 200. I was looking at a couple of my pictures i took earlier this year when i went to shanghai
<3Alex  [author] 26 Dec, 2016 @ 5:33pm
Well the Shanghai is 200m taller irl...
Swiffer 26 Dec, 2016 @ 5:18pm
i feel like this building is too short it seems to be less than half the height of the shanghai tower 1:1

金茂大厦吗,不错的MOD 谢谢分享
<3Alex  [author] 27 May, 2016 @ 8:06am
Glad you like it and glad it still works :|

I like 1:1 Buildings more.
This building is one of the best ive ever seen
Nice Work :)

In that case I recommend just making your own asset how I described it before. You can change the scale of an existing building and make a new one so just put in 1.6.
Scruminator 16 Mar, 2016 @ 9:46pm
It's still smaller than what it once was before snowfall :(
Scruminator 2 Mar, 2016 @ 9:10am
@Elias I never was subscribed to the smaller one anyways :/
Dalu 2 Mar, 2016 @ 2:30am
@Elias
Thank you <3
Elias 2 Mar, 2016 @ 2:06am
@brandon.j.tseng

both have exactly the same name, which might cause this error. i bet you get the big one after unsubscribing to the smaller version.
Scruminator 1 Mar, 2016 @ 8:42pm
Why doesn't the building appear in my assets even though I subscribed to it? All I get is the really tiny (not 1:1 scale) Jin mao.... kinda dissappointing
Elias 1 Mar, 2016 @ 11:38am
i don't know what the limit is, but surprisingly i had 2 or 3 buildings, that had even higher lod-tris and lod-weight (tris/size) than the old min jao. weird system they implemented.
<3Alex  [author] 1 Mar, 2016 @ 11:34am
I will make a better LOD if the future if someone tells me what this new vertex limit is on the LOD......
Elias 1 Mar, 2016 @ 9:54am
@dalu
in the asset manager: click on "new" and then (after the asset manager has loaded, which can take some time) on "buildings". if you chose a building, there will be a screen where you can change the size (default value is always 1). so for example a building that is 6x6 will become 12x12, when you chose 2 as the value.
you will quickly get used to the asset manager, though the first impression is a little bit confusing.
Dalu 1 Mar, 2016 @ 8:12am
Where is the scale to make the building bigger? Thanks a lot
Elias 1 Mar, 2016 @ 6:23am
it works... though i must say that now you were a little bit hard on the LOD (someone always has something to complain about ;) )

no really: thanx for not giving up this great asset. i think, many here appreciate it.
<3Alex  [author] 29 Feb, 2016 @ 10:31am
Um actually it looks like the update finally went through, is it working now?
Dalu 29 Feb, 2016 @ 9:42am
Thank you Alex, i'm trieing it yet! Grettings from switzerland :D
Scruminator 29 Feb, 2016 @ 5:24am
Do you know when this asset can be fixed? My shanghai skyline is missing it now :( My lonely Shanghai Tower and Shanghai Financial Center cries for its cousin. :'(

I did notice the issue with it was the vertices thing but it was shorter than the shanghai tower asset and it still works :/ argggg
<3Alex  [author] 28 Feb, 2016 @ 3:59pm
Fixed the other version, this one won't let me update the file... if you have the dlc try to just open the other building as a new asset and set the scale to 1.6. Place benches lights etc. Save for own use. Takes two minutes. Enjoy...
Dalu 28 Feb, 2016 @ 10:59am
yes there are to many vertices! Very nice building love it! <3
N v K 19 Feb, 2016 @ 4:44am
Update pls: too many vertices
Captain-No 17 Feb, 2016 @ 12:13pm

pfff.. thanks for answer... your model is pretty great.. thanks!
<3Alex  [author] 10 Dec, 2015 @ 11:50am
Yeah. The devs have said that they tested it and it was just really hard to navigate the city at 1:1. You pretty much never, ever see the street. My other submission is about 66% scale which will LOOK more accurate compared to other buildings, but it will look small compared to roads and trees that are 1:1.
FeanorKND 10 Dec, 2015 @ 3:11am
"Base apartment buildings/skyscrapers in C:S are NOT to scale"
Seriously?????? Buildings are smaller than 1:1 at C:S???????? :O
finnvidr 2 Oct, 2015 @ 1:56pm
Thank you so much! The other version was really good, it just looked too puny next to the other parts of the Shanghai Supertall Trifecta (Shanghai Tower, Shanghai World Financial Center, and Jin Mao)
Torbjorge 1 Oct, 2015 @ 8:21am
thx man =3
VoDka 30 Sep, 2015 @ 5:49pm
Thx been waiting for a while! Im gonna do an ad about it
<3Alex  [author] 30 Sep, 2015 @ 2:07pm
I'll think about it™
Static 30 Sep, 2015 @ 2:05pm
This is beautiful! Have you thought about doing the Oriental Pearl TV tower? It's pretty much the only massive building from Shanghai that no one has made into the game yet.
