I wonder if it's possible to make it Match Day compatible? I really want to simulate the actual Olympic Games with actual 50000 people coming at the same time to watch the event

Unfortunately that's a known issue. I'm looking for other ways to make it work properly (possibly using sub-buildings), but I don't have an ETA. You can try to fix the problem with quays around these areas. Use Quay Anarchy mod to build on the land.

I'm having trouble with the terrain around the building. I will transform it to perfection, but then re-loading the save will cause the game to revert to the terrain that is created when you first plop the building (a giant raised square). It will snap back and forth between the giant square (quite ugly) and the custom terrraform. Does anybody know of a way around this? Or is it just the nature of the sub-building enabler mod? I'd really love to solve this issue as this is one of my favorite assets and I want to keep it. Thx

this thing is gorgeous. An update to release it from the larger-footprints necessity would be awesome. :medkit:

you can download 3d models from google warehouse and use them in the game? can you school me on how?

@Mattaust: We may be working on this building.
geecko  [author] 9 Aug, 2016 @ 2:34pm
Hey, Mattaust, thanks for the offer! This building should be updated for Sub-Buildings and RICO mods in the future (as soon as I get a better computer and get the relevant modding documentation). I plan to do the same for my other buildings.
Mattaust 9 Aug, 2016 @ 4:32am
Hey, I was just adding you, I want to help you integrate Random events, for Rush Hour Mod. this allows citizens to flock to the stadium which will be a great feature. Please add me.

it would be possible update this beautiful asset to use the "Sub Buildings Enabler" instead "Large Footprints"?
Thank you!

Mattaust 28 Sep, 2015 @ 9:40pm
Hey you reckon you could do an ANZ Stadium with an olympic or Rugby League configuration? And thanks for these, great effort.
geecko  [author] 28 Sep, 2015 @ 2:12pm
@wilpar2001 There were a few players having trouble finding an asset before AD. What you can try is to temporarily disable a few unique buildings - if you're not currently using them in your game - and see if it's still there (Level VI).

Also, yes, I do plan to update this for AD. It looks like a black hole to me at night! =P
wilpar2001 28 Sep, 2015 @ 12:23pm
Hey, in After Dark i cant find it anymore, does it need an update? If so, could you please update it? i love the olympic stadium
geecko  [author] 31 Jul, 2015 @ 11:53am
@richpoyner The only thing I can think of is that the asset is 'hidden' behind an 'already built' hammer-like icon, which happens if you placed custom buildings based off vanilla stadium (including this asset). Just in case, try to enable all assets via the content manager.
RiichieJames 31 Jul, 2015 @ 11:18am
This is still not showing up in my game :( I'm not the most tech savy so not sure wht to do
geecko  [author] 22 Jul, 2015 @ 12:36pm
@richpoyner You can't remove vanilla buildings, but try to build this stadium first and then re-enable your assets.
RiichieJames 22 Jul, 2015 @ 10:53am
I've disabled some buidings, do i need to remove the vanilla stadium to get this one? :) thanks for your help
geecko  [author] 22 Jul, 2015 @ 3:09am
@Shroomblaze I see now, thanks again! =)
Leo Mystic Magic 22 Jul, 2015 @ 3:04am
I know why that happens, you have to first remove the .crp from the folder so that only the subscription version shows up. Otherwise you get multiple files showing up and its hard to update somtimes.

Just looked at the updated version and it looks much better now. Thanks! :)

Also want to say great job on the LOD
geecko  [author] 22 Jul, 2015 @ 2:56am
@Shroomblaze I've just updated the asset, now 2 MB lighter! Thanks for your feedback!
I already had a new version for a few days, but for some reason I couldn't update it sooner. This is what happened: http://i.imgur.com/WgVLM3Q.jpg

@richpoyner Did you build the vanilla stadium? Usually that marks all assets based off that as already used. Another workaround you can try is to temporarily disable a few unique building assets.
Leo Mystic Magic 21 Jul, 2015 @ 5:55pm
Here's a screenshot of an example with saturation turned down. Looks more realistic imo and turn to real world color..

The Green Field and Running track are over saturated. Would look much better if you turned down saturation by like -30. Just a suggestion.

cant find this anywhere in level 6?
mrfdot 17 Jul, 2015 @ 6:36pm
I honestly don't use alot of assets because simply I don't need alot. Unless it's a big city with ALOT of character, I really tend to not use alot. And when I do my projects I just download the assets I need. Once it's finished, I usually uninstall the assets or put them in a collection of mine for later use, then unsubscribe to them.
templeofdoom 17 Jul, 2015 @ 1:45pm
@mickey - I just experienced the "hard limit" the game imposes on assets too. I only had around 648 total though - clearly not around the 1100 you had. I have a pretty decent rig too - i5 3.2ghz, r9-290x tri-x, 8gb ram. My game basically took minutes to get through the splash screens and during such had a "clicking" repeated noise. THe game would load, but none of my mods would engage and it seemed a lot of the assets I had subbed to disappeared. After removing quite a few assets I figured it was the case. Really sucks but that's why I've been putting importantance for modders to make smallest sized files as possible. I'd love to try and sub to everyones stuff and actually use it in game, but with people having large file sizes you just can't - even the ones you want to.
mickey 17 Jul, 2015 @ 4:40am
@whatif_85, instead of planned/coded limit, it seems to be limit that "happens". i havent checked forums in about a week but doubt there has been comments from devs what exactly is the cause and if they can or want to address it.

this is something multiple people are reporting since several weeks ago; i'm sure many more dont know why game suddenly stops launching. and with expandins number of assets this is not going to go away.

you should defenitely keep the current assets without changes; but on the side maybe release "light" version.
geecko  [author] 17 Jul, 2015 @ 4:33am
@mickey Really? I wasn't aware of such built-in limits. My game takes insanely long to load and I 'only' have 3.24 GB of assets so far, but it does load eventually. I'll see if I can compress textures even further, but of course such assets may look weird if textures are too compressed.

Thanks for the feedback!
mickey 17 Jul, 2015 @ 4:22am
@whatif_85, thanks for comments. i agree on not only size, but on poly count being an issue.

to explain what i mean with limits. i've found out that game hits ceiling of assets/props somewhere around 1100-1200 assets/props nowadays. regardless of the hardware (mine is 3930K with 16GB RAM). at the same time, the asset directory seems to be limited to probably about 4.5GB total size. both these used to be 20% or so higher.

that suggests, average asset should not be more than about 4-5MB in size.

as a result of that to be able to keep most of the growable and vehicle assets i've had to pretty much unsub from anything above 10MB in size.

when going over the limit, game just wont launch.

and i'd really like to have sporting buildings... and devs to sort out the limits.
geecko  [author] 17 Jul, 2015 @ 4:09am
@mickey I understand your concern, as I have a low-end laptop myself, and I had to unsubscribe from many assets as well.

The best I can do is using compressed textures and limit my polycount as much as possible. If you use Mesh Tool mod you'd see that all my assets are on the 'green' so they won't significantly impact on your game's performance. On the flip side, other 'small' assets actually resulted in poor performance because of ridiculous amount of triangles, thus some clean up was in order.

Also, I tend to build large assets (duh!) that take up space which would be very likely used for plenty more buildings instead. If you think about it, it should be about the same processing power. It's up to you.
mickey 17 Jul, 2015 @ 3:27am
any chance of having smaller version; also significantly smaller in file size. game has limits on how many assets can be used; and how much space they take in total. while large assets are beautiful, they are most unpractical.
