thank you, Thumbs up
Also, yes, I do plan to update this for AD. It looks like a black hole to me at night! =P
Just looked at the updated version and it looks much better now. Thanks! :)
Also want to say great job on the LOD
I already had a new version for a few days, but for some reason I couldn't update it sooner. This is what happened: http://i.imgur.com/WgVLM3Q.jpg
@richpoyner Did you build the vanilla stadium? Usually that marks all assets based off that as already used. Another workaround you can try is to temporarily disable a few unique building assets.

this is something multiple people are reporting since several weeks ago; i'm sure many more dont know why game suddenly stops launching. and with expandins number of assets this is not going to go away.
you should defenitely keep the current assets without changes; but on the side maybe release "light" version.
Thanks for the feedback!
to explain what i mean with limits. i've found out that game hits ceiling of assets/props somewhere around 1100-1200 assets/props nowadays. regardless of the hardware (mine is 3930K with 16GB RAM). at the same time, the asset directory seems to be limited to probably about 4.5GB total size. both these used to be 20% or so higher.
that suggests, average asset should not be more than about 4-5MB in size.
as a result of that to be able to keep most of the growable and vehicle assets i've had to pretty much unsub from anything above 10MB in size.
when going over the limit, game just wont launch.
and i'd really like to have sporting buildings... and devs to sort out the limits.
The best I can do is using compressed textures and limit my polycount as much as possible. If you use Mesh Tool mod you'd see that all my assets are on the 'green' so they won't significantly impact on your game's performance. On the flip side, other 'small' assets actually resulted in poor performance because of ridiculous amount of triangles, thus some clean up was in order.
Also, I tend to build large assets (duh!) that take up space which would be very likely used for plenty more buildings instead. If you think about it, it should be about the same processing power. It's up to you.
