hey @Snow_Cat, i was wondering if could ask a question, hoping you may know as have experience in this area. Have you managed to change a 'train track networks' UI category before?

it's for my water park / water slides, which are a train track functionally. i've created a new tab under transport 'LandscapingWaterStructures' and am trying to move the networks in there but its not working unfortunately. the buildings/train stations (aka water slide entrance stations and pool stations) moved in there fine, but networks wont move no matter what i try in ModTools.

i wonder if train tracks aren't possible to move? figured you may have some experience with this perhaps? thanks in advance (not sure if you're still active, hope you are :))

I'm getting some hit and miss results with this. More failures than successes. The majority of new assets I create and reassign just aren't showing up where I tell them to go, despite it being registered correctly in Asset Creator with this mod, - looks good there - but in game is a different story. More often than not asset has lost all UI category definitions and I have to use Find It to retrieve the new asset. I guess if this mod hasn't been updated since 2015, then expecting it to work for all recent DLC categories is akin to expecting miracles. Though it did work for me when assigning/converting new Park-to-Campus assets the other day. Just won't do as I ask when creating Industries Factories assets. Certainly the new assets don't show up where I reassign them.

@❃Nebula❃ Yes. Used it earlier today and so far no issues. I do have a lag in the editor but do not believe it's from this mod at this time.

Could I use this to create a park-like structure and then save it as an actual functioning commercial and/or industrial building?

For me, deactivating and reactivating solved the problem. Now it works like a charme again. Unsubscribing /subscribing will probably do the same trick. So as Snow_Cat pointed out, his mods do actually still work with the latest update (Natural Disasters)

Deselect/highlight another control. Check that the value shown is the desired value.

Unfortunately this all of my mods fail to load on some people's machines, even when activated. Sometimes depending other mods, othertimes not. Being unable to reproduce the problem on my own machine, and having the code readily accessible to others- I've been putting off further work/improvements w/ the expectation that eventually someone else will release their fixed/improved fork/version to the public.

I can confirm that this mod still works and works well as intended. Just a reminder; all mods need to be activated under “mods” within “Content Manager”.

Rate it up so that it doesn't get forgotten! :steamhappy:

Seems not to work because it doesn't add a dropdown box to the asset property editor and therefore can't change anything. :steamsad:

hi, i noticed that when there are new categories (like with the latest update, there is a new parks tab --> beautification parksnplaces are devided now to beautification parks and beautification places), this mod automatically uses them. so you "only" provide something, that is already implemented in the game, rght? your mods only make it "visible", so to say.

but some assets have an empty space at that point (not even "defaut"... this object for example: http://sp.zhabite.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=654169673) , which leads the game creating a completely new tab.

can you somehow implement that? i would like to use this as an option, so i could categorize some of my parks and unique buildings into a seperate tab... speaking of uniques: the uniques which are using this ampty space seem to automatically be transferred to the landmark-tab, that already exists in the game.

Say, this seems to have stopped working with the last patch... is it just me or the patch do you think? I can make changes, but the asset does not work as set.

Is it possible to have a mod that edits the assets audio?

Example: keep parks sounds on an asset when in transport tabs.

The arrow is meant to indicate that it has a list-box popout. I currently have it working as intended w/ ModTools and Quartz (Sapphire) installed (but unconfigured).

I've tried switching between the default languages, resolutions (incl aspect ratios).

IF any of the afflicted could tell me what UI mods/options they have installed I can probably solve this next time I have a free day.

I was not able to change UI Category.
It is in condition not to be able to click it without an arrow being displayed.

Doesn't wrok for me either. The UI category appears on the panel, but the drop down box won't drop down

This doesnt seem to work for me. I'm trying to put all of my downloaded 'real life' buildings into the landmarks tab of the monuments window, but the UI Category option does not show up for any of the buildings I want to modify.

Does this conflict with any mods? Or is it just out-of-date for recent versions fo the game?

Not this; try Bbuilding AI Changer and make it into a park instead; (or create a mod that removes the "AlreadyExists" toolerror from CheckBuildPosition in the MonumentAI.

You will want to use the ItemClass changer to do that, but beware that the game has stricter rules for "private" zoned-building-types and will refuse to load an asset it doesn't like.

I tried to use this to reassigned an asset from the parks category to unique. Well, it sort of worked...but it ended up adding a "Level 2 Unique Buildings" tab to my parks category. Interesting!
