this game is amazing but theres something missing , i would really like to see the streat lights going off while there is a blackout in the city , like simcity 4 , so please moders if you can get this dream come true this game would be complete :) so for more details on what you have to do , u should let the streats light power source connected to the city power , so when theres a blackout in some part of the city you'll see every thing dark how cool is that !
That said, while it may be more or less pointless at this time, this mod had a great run. It was in part thanks to this talented mod creator (along with a few others like rmbackslash) that we finally got an official day/night cycle in the first place. Thank you once again for all your hard work, and look forward to seeing anything new you make if you choose to do so!
I'm playing at 2560x1440 so the street lights don't function that well like you explain in the description.
Cheers
That said, I truly appreciate all the work done on this mod and its potential is immesnse. I just hope this issue gets resolved soon so people can enjoy it properly. Thank you!
In other words, unless my camera is very zoomed-in, and pointed almost completely down square at the ground, none or the lights show up. This goes for vehicles as well as lights from the street itself. So it looks fine whenever I'm looking straight down at a very low altitude, but as soon as I tilt up or zoom out some, all the lights from this mod do no show up whatsoever.

Can we change the timeline?
Speculation aside, this is nothing short of incredible. I really look forward to seeing what else can be done with this. Thank you!!
Now, about the mod: It's great (like we all knew it would be), but I really hope optimisation is possible in the future.
I'm running at 1080p, high settings, 30 fps usually.
When I load up the map, it drops down to approx. 15 fps for a few seconds, then reverts to normal. When the night kicks in, I have to go all the way zoomed in to the ground to keep it at 30 fps. Zooming out means a drastical drop in frames. Zooming al the way out results in 1, maybe 2 fps.
I understand this is a huge mod, and a heavyweight as well, so I'm not complaining. I do however really hope there is a way to optimize.
This makes every hour = 3.75 game days, or 1.5 game hours per real life minute. If we start at game midnight, the first "morning rush hour" will be ~4 mins into gameplay which is *much* better. Traffic and walking speed etc might need updates, but CO devs said it isn't too difficult to change the timescale. This will undoubtedly be the BEST mod out there.
Every Cim has it's own routine. A traffic multiplier would have to create fake cars which do not represent a cim.
I think a better solution would be to introduce some kind of clock which represents one weekday and has a cycle of maybe 24 times the avarage commute time. Then you need to assign every cim a time when its work starts through a gaussian distribution. In the end you would need to sync that clock with moving sun mod.
In addition to that it would be nice to have weekends where most cims are heading for parks and commercial buildings, but that would probably mess with game mechanics.
Could it be that mods like German Roads, Some Roads and Traffic Manager are reason?
And the "night" of the automatic cycle of Moving Sun is "cut", so barely existing.
make it less laggy and I will love i!
