SwissCH@ the only thing wrong with this fort is the quality of the texture and the edges of the top are very sharp but thats still better then most assets on the workshop

haha really? i wish i had 3d skills back then to create a fort like tropico 5 has. You should get your eyes checked mate but thanks for the compliment anyway

this is just the fort from Tropico 5

Anyone know what to do about the "needs a road" icon? The building is working fine without a road as intended but the icon still shows up.

Needs a road but can't connect a road to it. Gahh!

Wonderful, I was hoping I'd find something like this. Time to add a little history to my budding city. :)

@Mizu than just use the Gosh Darn cannons on the fort, thats why there there? XD, I mean why not, maybe the Crime is because of the Cannons, I did not see any Burglars with Muskets, the Pirates Return! XD

is this a Unique building?
MrMiyagi 30 Aug, 2015 @ 5:38am
I hope you will make more of these! Hey guys, easy solution: The reason why there is crime is because it attracts tourists. Even when a park or unique building has a police station right next to it, if the tourist numbers are too high it will attract unsolveable crime levels. All you have to do is open this lovely creation by Swiss in the asset editor, set the tourists levels to very low (or 0 if it allows)

Model is great and I'd like to keep it in my city, but the size, for me, is really too small. Would it be possible to have a bigger variation ? X1.5 should be fine I suppose. Great work anyway, thanks. :)

@Swiss: I agree with @mizu: I placed this in middle of a square with no roads connected to it. Only pedestrian paths connected to it from the square. The crime is exploding now! I don't want to connect a road, but I think that connecting a road will resolve the crime issue. Is there any way to work around it so that we don't connect a road and yet do not have crime?
Just to let you know, the same thing happened when I placed Paradox Plaza with no road connected and just a pedestrian path. Crime went crazy, but after connecting a road, crime dropped.

Always high crime rate....

well its basicly made off a real fort. Star Forts can come in quite some variations. This is a pretty old one which was build early 18. century. but if you don't like it you don't have to download.

It looks promising, but the shape is all wrong, it doesn't look like a starfort; you should reposition the bastions so that they allign with the main walls in 45º angle, and most important, the walls need to be tilted towards the inside, otherwise the main feature of the starfort against artillery is gone: it can't reflect or bounce off cannonballs. I know this is not a strategy game, but these are the reasons why your starfort looks a bit off. Other than that, I think it's promising

all buildings have a lod this one however doesnot have a cutom one but a generated one but it works fine. the model itself has around 10'000 polys. for its size its not poly heavy i would say

how many tris, and does it have a LOD?
