I finally found out how many FPS this mod eats. With the mod I got 20fps, without it 50fps lol. This mod should include a warning about these performance issues.

@hyuntoe
i think it is :( i'd still love to have the blue pin feature that this mod has, but it just kills my FPS instantly, i use "Favourite Cims" to track my citizens
hyuntoe 11 Apr, 2022 @ 1:21pm
@CNightwing, is this deprecated?
Bunnyling |CDM| 20 Jan, 2022 @ 7:03am
yeah i think i should've skipped this comment section when i subscribed to it.

:p2blue: by far my favorite mod!!! i really love it but yeah, i disabled assets and mods one by one like the guy behind me, and found out this one was it.
hope i read the comments before!! :p2orange:

I guess as more citizens you get the more this mod struggles... cause I usually test all mods on a new map, and now it was evident that something was sucking out the power with each citizen

ANYWAY: for the guy making this mod, thank you, people so hard on the guy but i think he deserves honest props!! i love the mod but will only enable when needed.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My FPS increased from 10fps to 38fps right after I unsubbed this mod, this is terrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish I knew this before I disable mods one by one trying to find out what was the problem.
啓太~Keita™ 10 Nov, 2021 @ 4:40pm
OMG! After reading the comments that this mod is an FPS killer, I unsubscribed and then load my saved game, less lag and my FPS increased! Thanks for the comments!
Ilion 17 Feb, 2021 @ 8:33am
OMG!11! OMG!!1! I'M NOT SEEING THE FRAME KILLING.

Are you all running it with the "Show The Location Of Everyone I'm Tracking" option permanently enabled?
femtas 17 Feb, 2021 @ 6:18am
OMG THANKS FOR THIS! THE BEST MOD TO KILL YOUR FRAMES! I LOVE IT ITS THE BEST OMG OMG OMG THE FPS KILLER IS SOOO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ilion 25 Jan, 2021 @ 8:22pm
I get a NullReference exception from the "Favorite Cims" mod, so I'm giving this one a try. I've had the mod only a very short time, but *so far* it doesn't seem to be killing performance for me. On the other hand, the city I'm working on has only about 4800 residents.

Antisoda 23 Jun, 2020 @ 6:38am
Holy FPS killer, Batman! The mod should come with a huge warning.
Shadertheboi 20 Apr, 2020 @ 8:03am
Agree with RagingHug, this mod is a total FPS killer. For the longest time, I was wondering what is causing such low FPS for my city. And then, I stumbled upon this mod and read the comments.

The moment I unsubscribe this mod, my fps shot up 2-3 times.
Stay clear from this mod!

Would it be possible to keep a log diary of the activities of the CIM during the last 24 hours or the last 7 days? It would be wonderful to know what they do easily
Angry Autist 5 Mar, 2020 @ 6:18pm
I don't recommend this mod, I recommend just using "favourite cims" mod, as this mod sorta breaks games, even new games with zero population you will be at 10-15fps max
Smugger 10 Aug, 2019 @ 5:43am
WHOA! This would be great if it did not have such a hit to FPS! OMG. It would be great if it could be optimized to not do this.
Pat_ [EMST] 26 Jul, 2019 @ 2:44am

This is a really nice mod, problem is, it lowers my framerate by about 10 fps for some reason... am i the only one experiencing this?

Does it track citizens after they move to another residence within the city or mark them as "dead or moved away"?
Canonical 3 Jul, 2018 @ 3:04am
Yes it has an FPS locker as has been said for a long long time now.

PLEASE REMOVE THE FPS limiter
flaquis010285 18 Feb, 2017 @ 8:41pm
With Citizen Tracker I'm tracking every citizen in my recently founded city, even giving an "ID card" after arriving home. Plus, I created a Google Drive document with a complete citizen log.

Thanks in advance, nice mod. :steamhappy:
HardToFindAName 18 Feb, 2017 @ 4:15am
YES! I thought of this mod the first time I followed on my citizens around for a bit. Thank you so much for making this a reality already :D
Canonical 5 Feb, 2017 @ 8:47pm
Do not enable this mod, there is an FPS locker.
GeForceGG 5 Feb, 2017 @ 7:21pm
Very good mod, but for some odd reason it locks the framerate at 20FPS for me. I hope this can be fixed in the future, but for now this will stay disabled in my Mods and Assets list. :steamsad:
Tek Aevl 30 Jan, 2017 @ 12:20pm
How can one take a mod and fix it, such as this mod and reshare with the issues this one currently has as in the fps limiter.
Canonical 11 Dec, 2016 @ 10:27pm
***This mod has an FPS limiter built into it for some unknown reason. On my GTX 1080 my framerate is ALWAYS locked to 30fps when playing with this mod on. If you value your FPS, disable this.
dLantee 28 Nov, 2016 @ 1:23pm
Very good mod but it drops the fps drasticly. 55 -> 20
kananesgi 30 Sep, 2016 @ 10:13am
Cool little mod, and quite easy to use. I was looking for something like this to keep tabs on some of my citizens. Tracked an entire family from move-in day all the way to the death of the great-grandchildren. Quite interesting to see how the family moved around during that time.

Unfortunately, the mod also causes problems. There was an error at the start of a new city. Sadly, I can't remember the error now, and I can't reproduce it, so it may be a non-event now.

The more pressing problem is my policies window won't show with the mod active. With the mod turned on, the policies window simply shows up as a close button (little "X" button) at the bottom right of the UI. If I exit to main menu and turn CitizenTracker off, then the policies window opens fine.
Dumbassahedratron 7 Sep, 2016 @ 3:02pm
This mod always makes the game much slower, reducing it to 30 fps or lower, any fix for this?
