The illumintaion map is a texture and the windows share one, so sadly this wont work so easily. But it is on the update list.

Nice house, just to be more realistic, dont turn all lights on all windows on, would look cooler, since some citizens might be asleep, not home etc....

Very cool mod! Happy somebody finally made it. By the way, how do I know what level techs I've unlocked?

Karl Koliver the default building is of comparable height.

Ok  Thanks

Lovely, but I would reccoment making it Level 4. I like my Level 5's to be taller buildings, which C:S has way too few off as it is.

It will appear in your high density residential zones once you have met alle the requirements for a tech 5 housing.

It has no variance yet, a thing to do, would permit to add some more colours too, ill have a look into it. Thanks for the update info, i changed the thumbnail to make sure that the update works, filesize changed too according to steam so i think it worked.
Harmonica 18 Mar, 2015 @ 11:16am
Looks great! Does it have any variance with props that show up with it? Or if not, would it be possible for you to release some versions with slightly different arrangements of the small props?

By the way, you do know that in order to update your asset, you need to replace the file manually that shows up in the 'Content' virtual folder, right? (when you click to change the item thumbnail before uploading).

To start out i'd recommend blenderguru.com . If you make i through one of his tutorials you should be good on the modeling/texturing part. Making textures is either making photographs and fitting them, or some artistic talent painting them. Id recommend photoshop for that but i had to use gimp as ps has issues with my ivy-bridge monitor setup, in addition there is a great gimp plugin for normal-map creation. The entire thing is doable with free software and free tuts :), good times.

I like it .. how do you do it (assuming I am familiar with Blender and image editors)? and do you know what is involved in making a whole theme/set of buildings to replace the default? I'd love to do a set with chinese architecture and many modern buildings
