So... you enlist tourists? That's a concept...
JEELEN 6 dec, 2018 @ 12:25
I'll take your word for it... Nah, just kidding. JFD makes a ton of civs and they are usually quite good. ;)

It has served me well to stay clear of Civ mods that have brief mentions of bugs in the Comments sections. They will likely break your game (learned the hard way). But it's only fair to turn it around: I've played with this mod forever and with all kinds of set-ups (Community Balance Patch, etc). Never had a problem. Recommend.

Isn't the music for peace the love theme from The Godfather? I swear it's the same as on my LP soundtrack

City states dont surrender... Got the highest warmonger penalty ever and was attacked by 6 civs at the same time. At the same time I was able to establish the "royal vineyard" decision without the "found italian nation" one...
Yeetistani 20 feb, 2016 @ 10:13
How do you make the city states surrender? I declared war, brought the city state down to 0 health, kept damaging it, and had a bunch of units in it's borders. I waited with capturing it because I wanted the city state to surrender to avoid the warmonger penalty, but the only thing I achieved with waiting was that the citizens started starving.

How do you get the pop ups like the Shroud of Turin pop up?
nrsa 29 nov, 2015 @ 15:05
Say, is there anyway you could upload this mod, before this update. Also, when I try to download it by the dropbox, the page loads up as an error. Why?
Láthspell 10 nov, 2015 @ 12:53
Meh, I tried watching an AI game with this and other of your civs on Large Europe (the map in another mod/map pack of yours) but VE II just doesn't settle, he just moves the warrior until someone comes for them, the other civs work great together but Victor idles in the map.
Venusaisha 20 okt, 2015 @ 19:40
This would be better with ironclad from The Kingdom of Italy (Mussolini) (BNW). Ans tranfer piazza(town square) to The Kingdom of Italy (Mussolini) (BNW). thou with number of bugs again i think i'll avoid till fix or ect.

PLZ MAKE IT APPEAR IN MODS
Fenragon 10 sep, 2015 @ 14:18
Okay, update: after stacking up 10 golden ages, I now need 100 tourism to build... *drumrolls* a skald! If this is intended, then I guess I'm lucky... If not, I have no idea what is goin on.
Fenragon 10 sep, 2015 @ 14:13
So I'm currently playing our dear friend VE2, and I have captured the city state of Bogota.
I'm building a courthouse now and every turn I can build a free great artist. The tourism cost counter even says 0/0... I currently have like 60 turns of golden age, any ideas what went wrong? :P
ianandsue5 13 aug, 2015 @ 9:32
How do you play this Mod as Italy?
friend robocat 25 jun, 2015 @ 10:52
Is it just me, or does the AI playing Victor similar to the one playing Augustus Caesar? I had literally no idea he was a backstabbing cityspamming warmonger like the latter till this game I'm having. Guess it runs in the blood?
friend robocat 25 jun, 2015 @ 10:50
Can add that it seems to be a bug. Will JFD and crew fix this (and all other modciv bugs) someday as well?
Max 18 jun, 2015 @ 22:28
I'm playing as another modded civ and I am able to choose the "Expedition of the Thousand" promotion. I don't think this is intended behavior....?
Venusaisha 5 jun, 2015 @ 16:27
sounds fishy, i'll avoid this one.
Dvariak 22 maj, 2015 @ 6:24
anyone else having the issue of cpu civs randomly gaining alpinis super early in the game?
Foxxedhound 11 apr, 2015 @ 10:58
I have a question, can you make WWII Era China? Or/And a few more Italys? That is if there is anymore.
Nachash 28 feb, 2015 @ 11:28
Thanks!
Celestial 17 feb, 2015 @ 9:08
Hey, JFD, big fan of your work! I have a couple of questions about no doubt one of my favorite mods, our good ol' friend Victor Emmanuel. Like Biggest Boss noted, he appears to have the ability to count enemy civs with only one city as a city-state, and as such I have been able to capture an enemy capital very early on in two different games. However, once one citystate/civ has submitted to me, I find myself unable to use the ability with any other citystate. I was wondering if it's a one-time deal, or I'm getting very unlucky with the probability of surrender.
Tutter10 5 feb, 2015 @ 10:17
Thank you! I much prefer modern countries rather than the old ones. Have you considered a Greece led by George I. Also what about a revised Austria, as it is hosting the 60th ESC this year in May.
Mega-Square 19 jan, 2015 @ 0:36
Another great civ (as per usual). I've noticed a pretty serious bug though, a foreign capital just surrendered to me and I wasn't even close to capturing it. Only one so far, but if other civs just give up cities then this mod will be massively overpowered
6 jan, 2015 @ 15:07
Real nice, keep it up!!!
ReportAmumu 4 jan, 2015 @ 5:42
i'm italian and I have just a word for you: BRAVO
Nembo 3 jan, 2015 @ 9:35
it is a good mod, but like italian, i am veryoffended for the music that you added to this mod, the music of The Godfather, a film about mafia... are the italians all mafia members??? if you want to change the music tell me, i can give you some suitable musics
corosalva 31 dec, 2014 @ 2:42
Come si usa su mac?
Techne 30 dec, 2014 @ 21:01
Scratch that, it just happened again with a secondary capital (not their original, but the one that became the capital after I took their first one). So, it's not a one off.
Techne 30 dec, 2014 @ 20:59
Playing it out now, and it's a fun mod so far. I like the City State takeover mechanic, but I seem to have taken over someone's capital with it! Just like with a city state, their garrisoned unit stayed in the city even after it became mine (until the ai moved it). So far it just happened once, the capital in question being the Amazons (a mod added civ, if that makes a difference).
Sloth King 30 dec, 2014 @ 16:57
Looks good!
Xanny Davis Jr. 30 dec, 2014 @ 11:41
Could you try making a mod that includes Yugoslavia?
ProphetSteve 30 dec, 2014 @ 11:09
Please make a mod that adds events and decisions that expand to all Civilizations, and ones which are unique to certain civilizations.
ptx2000 30 dec, 2014 @ 3:56
Great Idea for a Mod:Citadel:
basil664 29 dec, 2014 @ 23:05
All the events and disicions look like the idea came straight out of Europa Universalis... any correctness in this statement?
Kaiser Wilhelm II 29 dec, 2014 @ 17:51
this mod is brilliant
damcam97 29 dec, 2014 @ 12:28
Sure. I'm only a Piedmont citizen so i wanted to be accurate.
Stereo Isomer 29 dec, 2014 @ 11:56
You chose Guiseppe Verdi for the music, you sir are a badass. Thanks for the mod!
JFD  [skapare] 29 dec, 2014 @ 10:33
@damcam97 Gameplay > realism
damcam97 29 dec, 2014 @ 6:35
I'd like to point out that the alpini unit can't be turned into a garibaldino unit because it's a mistake, in history it would be like a regression as the period of garibaldi comes before the 1 1st world war .
Anyway the mod is beautiful, well done.
mantigoul 28 dec, 2014 @ 11:02
Do we have enough other Italian civs for me to reunify the peninsula? :) Can I team up with a civ Garibaldi? Oh sweet Jeebus, I would love an Italian unification setup/scenario thing...Thanks for this civ!
Zeke915 27 dec, 2014 @ 16:57
What is the city list for this please? (Hope Florence is one :))

thank you for the great mod !
Azor Ahai 26 dec, 2014 @ 16:41
@dan012 - Not a big deal anyway, considering its been in games like Crusader Kings or Europa Universalis for years but its still an interesting concept to see in a Civ game.
