@falph thank you for support and kind words ^^ Glad you enjoy it!

Love this mod, thanks for your hard work!
alankraskow  [author] 5 Jun @ 12:31am
Another massive update.
European phenotype by Lin Nacume completely reworked.
108 portraits in total now have more accurate skin color.
On top of that more than half of them have been completely replaced.
I left only those that I thought looked nice and had unique features.

Enjoy ^^
alankraskow  [author] 3 Jun @ 11:37am
Unfortunately more of Lin Nacume portraits require full rework, as they appear too distinct from the rest. This will take some time, because there are around 190 portraits in total and I'm not sure how many of them need full rework, and how many need just skin tone rework. But letting everyone know, so that you don't get put off by the faulty ones.

Another big update today ^^

Deadrick New Human Male - Replacement
Deadrick New Human Female - Replacement
Deadrick Attachments - Refitting

Added 50 new faces in total for New Humans, replacing the last portraits from Deadrick's mod. Now they all are more fitting the vanilla art style.

Also reworked and refitted few of the Deadrick's amazing cyberpunk attachments, which I added to Human Revolution group, making them even more distinctly Cyberpunk themed.
alankraskow  [author] 24 May @ 2:38am
@Futstub yest this is completely safe to add mid game :)
Futstub 24 May @ 1:46am
Is this safe to add mid run? I jist started a human playthrough yesterday... D:
alankraskow  [author] 23 May @ 5:27pm
This one was a bit exhausting, but I made it lol.
Finished today Deadrick Human Legacy Male - Replacement.
Now all the Human Legacy portraits are made in style very similar to vanilla art.
Human Legacy portraits alone contain now 200 unique faces, divided into 5 phenotypes and 2 genders.
alankraskow  [author] 22 May @ 8:11pm
Finished Deadrick Human Legacy Female - Replacement
Now all the females from Human Legacy are made in a style much closer to the original vanilla art.

Thanks to the generosity of another modder, I’ve just added the Human Hive Expansion by NMC. Similar to the Human Revolution, these are included as a separate human branch within the humanoid category. They won’t spawn randomly in the galaxy, meaning they’re only available if you specifically create an empire using them. This approach helps prevent an overabundance of human empires and gives you the opportunity to create distinct, thematic splinter factions.
alankraskow  [author] 22 May @ 11:45am
@ANumeric thank you ^^
I'm really happy so many people enjoy it.
I can assure that it will be more polished over time.
I'm aiming to make it as close to the vanilla portraits as possible.
ANumeric 22 May @ 11:34am
You are doing great work, amount of human portraits was ridiculously small. Now finally there is some variety, thanks a lot :steamhappy:
alankraskow  [author] 22 May @ 10:59am
It was recently brought to my attention that the original name of this mod could potentially interfere with mod load order. To prevent any issues, I’ve changed the name. Sorry for the inconvenience.

QUICK UPDATE PT2
This update might take awhile, because I have around 200 portraits to rework, but I'm committed to it and want to get it done, because my OCD won't let me sleep at nights if I don't do it lol

I will add that they will be gradually added to the mod, but in a way that shouldn't break existing saves, as I'm keeping original structure of the script and file names.
alankraskow  [author] 22 May @ 7:11am
QUICK UPDATE:
After grappling with it for awhile now, I decided to rework Deadrick's and Lil Nacume portraits. Some of them not only have different art style and textures, but also don't fit properly the vanilla meshes. And as much as I love their work and wanted to keep them in, I feel they just stick out too much and I know I can make them look more vanilla.
They will be completely reworked and in most cases won't even resemble the old versions, but I feel this is necessary to improve the quality of the mod. The original authors will be still credited, but more as an inspiration, as their assets will be completely replaced.
alankraskow  [author] 22 May @ 6:05am
@tilarium good to know, cuz I thought it was for all the portraits.
But yeah, that would require a removal of Human Revolution or integration of them as part of Human Legacy, which I simply don't want to do.
So if anyone wants to use this for achievements gameplay, the easiest solution would be just to remove the common folder, as you mentioned.
I want to avoid uploading different versions of same mod, as I have more plans for different mods in the future and it would become overwhelming to keep up with everything.
I rather keep it simple.
tilarium 22 May @ 5:48am
@alan Not to be the "acktually" guy but this is almost achievement compatible. The checksum is only changed when a "common" folder is present, which I THINK is just the addition of the Human Revolution portraits. All of the other additions that add new clothes and looks to the default Humans are fine for achievements. @Clea and anyone else interested You can do this yourself by opening the workshop folder for the mod and removing the common folder. You won't have the HRS Humans though. But the best thing any of us can do is go the Stellaris forums on the Paradox website and keep making new posts and supporting older posts requesting they remove the checksum requirement for achievements and let us get them no matter what.
alankraskow  [author] 22 May @ 4:56am
@Clea this mod does not add any new category. They are all humanoids species, which is basic vanilla category. Unfortunately as far as I know portrait mods aren't achievement compatible. Why? No idea, but I've seen people complaining about it a lot. So to answer your question, very sorry, but this mod won't be achievement compatible.
Clea 22 May @ 3:33am
Would you be interested in creating an achievement-compatible version of the mod? The current version disables achievements because it introduces a new category of portraits
alankraskow  [author] 21 May @ 2:14pm
@Zeizei Pumpum thank you ^^
This is still work in progress, so a lot of stuff is not on the level I want it to be.
Zeizei Pumpum 21 May @ 2:12pm
So interesting concepts
alankraskow  [author] 21 May @ 4:51am
After receiving some more feedback, I decided to restore Vanilla portraits into the mod.
Also fixed the issue with scripted empires rulers.
Now they appear originally as in the vanilla game :)
alankraskow  [author] 19 May @ 7:03pm
I fixed some major issues and the new Human Legacy - Clothes Expansion is already out! :)
alankraskow  [author] 18 May @ 10:28pm
Unfortunately clothing expansion will be delayed, as I encountered some major issues with texture files, which seem to be broken in many cases for female characters. Even though they appear perfectly normal in GIMP and worked before in game, now they look like they don't fully render in game. My apologies to everyone waiting, but I really want to make this right, so trying to find a solution to solve this issue.
alankraskow  [author] 18 May @ 3:44pm
@SeanTheSugoi thank you for pointing that out, should be fixed now. But if you notice anything else, please let me know :)
SeanTheSugoi 18 May @ 2:35pm
Specifically, for the Human Revolution portraits
SeanTheSugoi 18 May @ 2:35pm
Looks like there's an issue with the male scientist portraits being shirtless once they're commanding their ships.
alankraskow  [author] 18 May @ 12:09pm
@Saben the hair for the scripted empires should be fixed now :)
alankraskow  [author] 18 May @ 11:35am
@Saben thanks for explaining the issue. That one I think I can change easily. I will make a note and try to fix it asap.
Saben 18 May @ 11:28am
I realy like this mod, and like the options available. I just want to confirm what Rohzdear brought up, the newest update change something and both UN and commonwealth leaders have afros (and they are premade empires so can't edit, just make new copies). The options are all still there and you can edit with both new and old options. I think it might be the order of the hairs that changed? Hairstyle 1-8 are now afros, 9-15 short corkskrews and so on.
alankraskow  [author] 17 May @ 3:12pm
@Rohzdear sorry, I misunderstood your comment at first. So this mod is a complete rework of human portraits, which means the old ones are replaced by the new ones.

I decided to not include the original textures in, because they have just 5 faces with different eye colours to choose. And I wanted to focus on more diversity with this mod.

But if you edit these two empires, select their leaders with clothes, hair and faces you like, but keep the original name of the empire and save it, you can force the game to use your saved edits instead, by clicking that small icon next to the empire in empire selection.

So the empires are fully customizable.
alankraskow  [author] 17 May @ 2:38pm
@Dath should be, as there were no changes to portraits.
Dath 17 May @ 2:29pm
Compatible with 3.14 at all or just 4.0+?
Rohzdear 17 May @ 1:56pm
I really like all of the new additions, although I'm a bit ambivalent after trying it because I noticed that the new hairstyles overwrite the default appearance of the United Nations of Earth and Commonwealth of Man rulers.
Is there any way to prevent this from happening?
alankraskow  [author] 17 May @ 9:47am
My pleasure ^^
Señor Kefka 17 May @ 9:45am
Ye, shipset is removed, thanks for the fast work :)
alankraskow  [author] 17 May @ 9:23am
@Señor Kefka thanks for pointing that out ^^

I had it fixed already, but was meant to update the mod with clothes expansion. Unfortunately that expansion took longer than I intended and forgot to update it without it.

Anyways, shipset should be removed now.
Please resubscribe and let me know.
Señor Kefka 17 May @ 9:13am
Good day, i noticed that your mod adds a cyberpunk shipset but is on the biological ships, when you chose it , you arent allowed to create ships at all , build them nor use the ship designer to create a type and i know your mod is the one doing it since i only happens when this mod is enabled
alankraskow  [author] 15 May @ 2:06pm
@Kerovanka not sure I understand lol
Kerovanka 15 May @ 1:58pm
spit,just get head back?
alankraskow  [author] 15 May @ 6:09am
@Kerovanka Unfortunately, they have different head shapes and eye positions, which means they'd need either a separate species or phenotype, along with a completely new animation mesh. That also includes reworking all the hairstyles and beards to fit properly.

Is it possible? Technically, yes—but the amount of work required is so extensive that I personally decided not to go through with it. I had considered using those smaller human portraits just for my Eldritch Predators, and make the Legacy ones a separate human species, but in the end, the effort just wasn’t worth it.
Kerovanka 15 May @ 5:41am
Is it possible to add their heads to Human Legacy bodies? - yes.
is it difficult to do?
alankraskow  [author] 13 May @ 11:57am
@tilarium that part with pop clothes, gender and random portraits I have fixed already. Was trying to hide certain clothes from Empire Creation menu, but unfortunately it turns out it's hardcoded in a way that it's impossible to do it.

But as long as slave clothes won't spawn randomly on leaders or ruler in game, then I can live with that. And that is sorted already too.

I started to working today on the other mod I posted, which adds Human Demonic portraits, so maybe the clothing update for Human legacy won't be up today. We'll see how I get on with it.
tilarium 13 May @ 10:40am
@Alan I wouldn't worry to much about clothes not working right right now. I remember reading that 4.0 has a problem with pops wearing the wrong clothes.
alankraskow  [author] 13 May @ 7:00am
@tilarium nice one!

I'm currently working on new clothes for Human Legacy. New expansion should be ready today if I manage to properly script it lol.

For whatever reason clothes which were meant to be limited to pop groups became available for Rulers. Got to figure out how to limit that, and make few new clothes for the missing classes and pop_groups.
tilarium 13 May @ 1:15am
@Alan and you've solved my problem for me. Once a few more mods get updated I'm going to start a Human game based on the What If.. Justinian was able to resurrect the Roman Empire. I'm going to either use a Hegemon origin and alter the save to have these guys added in as one of the other empires in it or use a sub-species origin and use them as the sub-species!
alankraskow  [author] 12 May @ 8:56pm
@Kerovanka unfortunately I don't understand Russian, so I had to use Google Translate lol
Not sure what exactly do you mean...

Are you asking about New Human portraits? Is it possible to add their heads to Human Legacy bodies and animate them?
Or maybe something completely different?
Kerovanka 12 May @ 7:24pm
alankraskow  [author] 12 May @ 4:09am
@tilarium well in theory I could figure out a way to make them exclusive for certain type of ethics or authorities, which I'm going to try to do now for the new clothing expansions I have in plan. But I figured out that if I keep them separate they might be used as mutants for example, a splintered species, which is how I like to set them in my games.
