Portraits are now FIXED !!
Namelist still needs some more love.

Hi wancar, take it easy, don't stress. If you get an error, go to:

C:\Users\your name\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris\crashes\stellaris_......._......\logs\

There's an error & system text document in there.

GOOD & LESS GOOD NEWS!! Thx to @Kashy for the assist!!

Tested with no other mod.

Good:
- Main Menu accessible without crash!
- Namelist present @ Name List menu.
- My old Amazon empire shows the base SpaceAmazon portrait for the species on top of the traits.

Less good:
- Portrait list for picking Initial Ruler: Not present @ Appearance menu

I see it as a success after 2 days.
Now all I need is to make the portraits behave properly.
I'm exhausted and don't wanna touch more delicate stuff while half-asleep.
I'm gonna play a little and then get some sleep.

I've been making changes here and there. How can I see logs like you?
What I've seen:

- The *military_station_small* parameter is in the same place as in functional portrait mods.
- There were 10 misnamed portraits but I already fixed that bf your comment (thx again for your time and willingness to help).
- Graphical culture is indeed present, but there wasa an extra } that I had missed (bloody lil things, amirite?) Now SpaceAmazon_classes looks like so:

Hi, I did another test with your mod alone, but unfortunately there is still an error:

[20:10:53][persistent.cpp:46]: Error: "Unexpected token: military_station_small, near line: 56
" in file: "common/name_lists/SpaceAmazon_name_lists.txt" near line: 56

[20:10:56][species_class.cpp:282]: Species class "SpaceAmazon" is missing graphical culture (ex. graphical_culture = mammalian)!.
[20:10:58][game_util.cpp:398]: Failed to register used portrait in gamestate: portrait 'jiral' for the class '' is not found in portrait set database
[20:10:58][game_util.cpp:398]: Failed to register used portrait in gamestate: portrait 'sang' for the class '' is not found in portrait set database

It's just a small error snippet.

I replicated the crash :mortis: :steamsad:
Don't know what causes it but the mod is simple, should have a simple explanation, like me being tired after hours working on the workshop and failing to see the problem.
I'm retiring to sleep and come back to double check.

Good news: CodeMiko mods are working without crash, which proves I can make non-crashable mods.
The only comment I got was congratulatory so far.
Maybe I can interest you, fellow steamers, to check one or 2 and leave a comment confirming they do not crash? Unsubscribe later if you feel they are not 4 you :Hire: :AffinityPurity:

- An achievement-friendly portrait mod
- & The non-achievement portrait version.

Found an error in a txt filename.
Caused when I was renaming classess & species, according to the rules applicable since May 2024 (and the crash of the original mod).
Fixing it as we speak. I'll take a while to make sure.

Weird... I'm not getting that error, it does not expel me.
I'm testing it in my 200+ mods playlist.
I'm guessing that should make it work worse, not better :sadbs:

Anyway, I'm comparing every txt with their namesakes in my CodeMiko mods, which work, so there is hope. I'll update again soon and test.
