Sorry but SBX is not compatible with ESB. Both mods manipulate the same files. The choice is yours which mod you prefer to play with.

Hi @Gage, the icons for starbases appear misplaced in the outliner.

I found a compat issue with Expanded Starbases from https://sp.zhabite.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1359700418 - which I combined this one with for a few additional modules pretty much.

The two mods work together for the most part, but ESB has an Orbital Ring T4 upgrade, which lacks the T3 expanded slots, so an accidental upgrade can lead to the orbital ring getting gutted on the module count. (I did not check the other stats though.) ESB's No Bastion submod does prevent the T4 upgrade, but it also prevents SBX's Stronghold upgrade as well, so I don't see it as an option.

Considering that all compat notes within the readme are about loading this mod after all the other ones affecting starbases, I do have ESB loaded first and SBX after it. Could this mod check for that one and either disable the OR T4 upgrade either update it's OR to get the expanded module slots? Or should I just drop ESB?

Doesn't bother me, was just odd seeing it and thought it might be an incompatibility, but your mod doesn't list that it gives access to it so I wasn't aware it was intentional. And Nsc3 does list having an advanced reactor at the start as being a potential issue with another mod, so that's why I thought it was causing problems.

The SBX starbase reactor is available to all starbases.
The deep space citadel is part of vanilla Stellaris and defined as a starbase by PDX. That’s why it has access to the reactor at start.

No one forces you to use SBX if this bothers you.

Furthermore your wording is totally wrong.

Incompatible means:

“Not able to exist or work with another person or thing because of basic differences.”

This is not true for NSC and SBX.

SBX and NSC are fully compatible.

It's not really supposed to get access to it at the start of the game, unless that's intentional on your part. It's listed assomething that happens when mods are incompatible with nsc3. As it's getting it at the start of the game

Thanks for the info but the info but why should I remove it? This would cause a loca error in SBX.

It's the loca string for the physics research lab and part of the core mod. It exists in all language files of SBX.

@Gage I double checked and that line exists in starbase_extended_3.0_l_simp_chinese.yml and english file too (I just force updated your mod 4hrs ago so it should be up to date)
if it should not exist you can remove it to avoid any future ambiguous.

FYI:
There are no conflicts between the starbase modifiers of both mods. Gigas does not provide any starbase building that improves the output of physics researcher jobs.

SBX does not include the modifier you posted.

Maybe Steam has not updated the mod correctly.

Try the following:

1. Unsub the mod.
2. Exit / Close Steam.
3. Wait at least 2 minutes.

for some resaon when i start a new game all the building and module slots are locked no matter the tier of the starbase. im trying to see if its a mod conflict or if its the mod itself but it only happens with this mod installed

Well, i'm way too far from aeternites, so no million fleets for a fifty more years or so. Beating AI isn't that hard anyway, nice mod regardless, thanks for maintaining.

To be fair the mod is aimed at players who play on the highest settings; prefer a kind of "turtle style" gameplay and don’t play vanilla.

It looks totally different when you face enemy fleets that have a military strength of several millions at the doorsteps of your empire. This can happen easily if your mod-set contains e. g. Gigastructures and More.

Are those supposed to be that powerful? Like, 3 shileds protections + 3 armor protections, reinforced defences and starbase can't be, really, penetrated in early game and just regenerates :D

Sorry for bothering you,
the problem was on my part,
right after this the game started crashing and i needed to delete every stellaris file from my computer.
Something broke in documents folder for stellaris lucky backup saved my sanity

I have tested it with “Shrouded Regions” and it works without any problem.

Furthermore “Shrouded Regions” does not contain any files / scripts that conflict with SBX.

Hello, you mod has a compatibility problem with "Shrouded Regions" mod, no idea why, It seems you don´t even use files that could overwrite each other


these two varriables seem to be wrong,
starbase_module_capacity_add = 6
starbase_building_capacity_add = 4

lvl 2 starbase instead has

4 module slots and 0 building capacity

tested with Shrouded Regions UI overhaul dinamic and Starbase Extended 3.0

okay, i am confused to what the actual solution for those that want to play with the 3.14 version of the mod. do we reach out to you on discord? or do we just have to deal with it, which, i mean, if i must go on without your mod, then fine. but id like to play with it.
all you said was to refer to a message from another user where you basically say you don't have the files outside the dev tool nor do you plan to upload a legacy version.
so what do we do?

I managed to replicate the crash and it's not because of this mod.
