never mind I figured it out, turns out it was truespace keeping arcana stars and planets from spawning. which is weird because I ran truespace with arcana before on a previous save and it worked fine with arcana stars just existing separately from the normal classifications it uses. guess they became incompatible after an update since I last played.

dumb question but are arcana stars gated behind finishing the main story before they show up or do they spawn on universe creation? I'm not seeing any arcana worlds when I started a new save and I'm wondering if that's intentional or if my mods are messed up and need to fix something for them to spawn.

In the end, my og issue about the katana and cup were because steam decided to just not properly download the mods from the workshop.

I had to unsubscribe, launch starbound, exit and subscribe again.

@Alline Vayn It is the loading order of starbound to blame, but not my mod. Arcana is known for being fragile to More Planet Info that any new mod could break. Right click your starbound game, choose property, choose best load order for workshop and see it if still bugged

This mod seems to break the arcana dungeon informations on the surface analysis on more planet info, it was working well before then it became a warning sign after i downloaded this

@fallengrace currently they have no use but to be some collective. The last one is in the first mission, you'd check the mission after all doors to the exit are unlocked.

i can say that FFS can cause issues. (i forgot i had that installed)
many errors are reffering to FFS

i forgot when i instaled that mod and why. (i think for cool guns i guess)
but it appears to be making a LOT of errors

okay what i did is delete all the logs. try to boot starbound again (it crashed) so there would only be one

i have 5 starbound.log files i dont know wich is the one that i need to send

update: with my pack in particuliar it doesnt matter if this loads before or after fu. it will still crash regardless. and since starbound doesnt give info on what mods are conflicting I cant find a fix.

oh i forgot to add that as a response id like to know if i need arcana and this addon after or before fu for it to work.

so this is why i had to move all my player files and universe files somewhere else!
also
it still crashes despite having went to load order and clicked the best load order button.
so ill keep trying more troubleshooting but i might have to stop playin the mod
